I love credit cards so much!

FYI - when generating AMEX support links:

You are now able to refer to the same family of co-branded cards with Amex.
- We already knew this was possible with Charge Cards and SPG (i.e. referring SPG Lux from SPG personal)
- It's also available with Hilton and Delta

If you have ANY one card in the SPG, Hilton or Delta family, you can generate support links to all the other cards. (This does not work across personal and business though, you stay in one channel or the other). The way to do this is to generate the link for the card you have, go to it and scroll to the bottom (you should see other cards then there).

@jhoannam - do you know that you officially have 81 karma now and are eligible at r/churningreferrals!! Now just stay active. You need about 4 karma a week to stay above that 50 threshhold :)

I checked and all of the referrals I had posted showed up, I quickly went through and deleted the double post. I didn't realize they would reappear after I was eligible. I hope I didn't miss any and I don't get banned.

Ok, I did it, SW Premier has been kicked to the curb. That wasn't as hard as I thought, been agonizing over it cuz I've had it so long just felt like it would be weird without it; and I haven't cancelled a credit card in probably 10 years.

What's the kicker is they really didn't care to keep me. I asked twice for a retention offer, both times they came back stupid quick that there was no offer to be had. (DP this morning from r/churning of a $50 credit, FYI) So ok, I've had the card well over 2 years, if they'd have given me anything I probably would have kept it. Instead, if an increased offer pops up in the next few months I'll probably reapply and get the points for the same money. Chase just doesn't make sense... $50 to keep existing, long term customer vs $500 for a "new" customer? :confused3 Churn, baby, churn?
It was hard for me to close mine too. Had it since 2012. But, it was time. RIP SW Premier.

Yes! Priority Pass Adds Two Restaurants At SFO - OMAAT

TL;DR: San Francisco Giants Clubhouse and Yankee Pier, both at SFO.

Those who have read my posts know how useless PP is at SFO. The only PP lounge prior to this was the Air France/KLM Lounge all the way in the International Terminal, and there's usually a sign out turning PP-holders away because they're at capacity or reserving space for their flyers.

Both the SF Giants Clubhouse and Yankee Pier are in Terminal 3, which services United domestic flights. United passengers carrying premium cards now have it really good with 2 PP restaurants and the Amex Centurion Lounge in Terminal 3. I'm flying out on United tonight and had planned to visit the Centurion Lounge, but now I'm tempted to try one of these restaurants. We'll be flying on United down to Disneyland over Thanksgiving week, so there's another opportunity.

This is awesome news! Love the alternative to Centurion. Wish the would have mixed up the terminals a bit, but still nice. Report back on how it is!

Think I got all my SW flights in order and booked. Ended up switching our one night DVC stay to the night before our cruise and will do a Day Use room at the Hyatt MCO until our 8pm flight the day we disembark. Flight times weren't the best or even at a reasonable cost to keep it the other way. Booked the one night for Copper Creek and put a WL in for both Boardwalk and Beach Club.

CONGRATS!!

The 1/30 rule only applies to Chase applications so an AMEX card shouldn't have affected that.

You could probably apply for the personal now if you wanted. However, if you don't need it now, I'd probably wait as long as you can (always be spacing out those Chase apps when possible, right?)
Thx! I need it in time to meet spend and get CP after 1st statement close so we can use CP for thanksgiving...so I have a bit I can wait.

Dh and I met when we were 22 and 24 and married 14 months later! First kid at 25 and 27, second at 27 and 29, and last at 31 and 33. We had ~no money~ before the kids and when the kids were young. Now that our youngest is off at school, we are excitedly planning All The Travels :woohoo:

I started looking into airfare for a trip to Europe next fall. From PHL/EWR/JFK/IAD we could fly nonstop to AMS/CDG/FRA (haven't looked at all options for the return--one is VIE). The flights could be on points or real money or a mix. Business preferred, of course lol, but economy or economy plus are options.

Would you rather fly on AA (from PHL to all; from JFK to CDG), United (from EWR or IAD to all), Lufthansa (from all airports to FRA), OR Delta or KLM or Air France (from JFK to all)? We live between PHL and BWI but can drive/shuttle to any of the listed airports.

I used google flights to check for flights. I did not consider number of points/miles to book yet.

Ugh...Is this the same as Uzima Springs Pool? is this the main pool that looks so nice? There’s a note about renovations starting in the fall on the website. I guess I might have to call since we intended to use the pool quite a bit and DS really liked the look of that pool.

More questions...how do I book MDE? I was expecting to see something on my Itinerary but not finding anything.

I'm still catching up, but here is the link in case no one else posted.

Unfortunately I believe it is the main pool at AKL Jambo that is closing. I believe I read you can use the one at Kidani.

I'm flying AS and have an 8:30 am flight Monday, will this help me? It's been forever since I've been in that airport. Glad they added some though!

Booked our SW flights today for our Spring Break Cruise . Was up at 6 CST and nothing. Kept checking on the App and nothing. Finally went to my Ipad and pulled up the regular site and they were all listed. So, kind of mad they did not show up on the App. Flight from MSP to MCO for 21,000 points each and flights back were around 15,000 points each. (4 of us but DH has companion pass through 2019 so only had to use points for 3). But that sure used up most of our points. I can't sign up for SW cards again until next September so hoping that we are still able to sign up again during that time frame. Need to build up points again.

I too have noticed that the WGF are not always there right away. Hoping the points value will go down in the coming months. Our EB was also $25 each way. Going to wait and book that as if they points go down and I can rebook I lose the EB fare from the companion pass. Which they could change that so companion flights could just be changed like the other flights - not having to cancel it out then make the changes then add it again. So, dumb.

I am jealous of all you people who can plan trips more than a year in advance! I don’t even know if I am coming home Sunday or Monday this weekend for our trip. Lol. I guess I have fear of commitment. And this is just DH and I. Add in kids and their busy schedules I am lucky to commit just a few weeks before a trip. I need to learn to just put it in the calendar and schedule around.

Possibly. Alaska flies out of Terminal 2. These restaurants are in Terminal 3. Terminals at SFO are not connected airside, so you’d have to consider whether you have the time and patience to pass through security twice (drop off any bags at AS, take an AirTrain to Terminal 3, pass through security, eat, exit and take AirTrain back to Terminal 2, pass through security again to get to your gate by boarding time). Both restaurants open at 5 a.m. It could mean a nice hot breakfast.

Sounds like the FL panhandle to me!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Yep...I took the dog to the vet and one of the vet techs had a pig in their break area. Somedays I love this quirky town!

The first thing I do when deciding the flight (because if I'm going to spend that much $-cash or points wise) is write down the flight number(s) and look up the reviews and seat configurations for each flight. When I'm flying from BRU-SFO, I chose to connect in FRA so I can be on the new United Polaris seat configuration versus having someone climb over me across the Atlantic (connecting in the States). THEN I scour reviews online...I really like Lucky's on one mile at a time...although I don't care about champagne and he is fussy about some things I'm not. Still, it's given me some ideas about the flights. Of course, they can always change the airplane at the last minute but that's out of my research control.

That's my two cents, anyway...

Of course...our March return flight from MCO is now $25 for EBCI. Not surprised! :crutches:
my screen showed $20 and I was actually willing to do it for $15 but not any more. Just finished telling DH that its now $20. Thats crazy how its $25 now. I'm def going to miss when the youngest is no longer allowing us to use family boarding. DH will have A list by the end of this year but that doesn't help the rest of us :-)

MDE you can call and add it or there should be a place on on the app to add it.

I booked a Marriott Room under DH's account, I can't add my name to the reservation and now he can't go. Do I need to call in to have them add my name? or can I just show up?
