I'm def going to miss when the youngest is no longer allowing us to use family boarding. DH will have A list by the end of this year but that doesn't help the rest of us

It was worth it for the $60 but for $100 it won't be. I will just go with the herd in family boarding. It wasn't like you were guaranteed A group with EB. Strategy will change when the kids get older.

We are headed to the world in a few weeks and have a friend that would like to go. We have APs, but booked in a DVC room on points. Can we book them a room without an AP holder in it? Can it be at a different hotel? I started a dummy booking and it looks like it is working, but I didn't go all the way through. Thoughts?

FYI - when generating AMEX support links:

You are now able to refer to the same family of co-branded cards with Amex.
- We already knew this was possible with Charge Cards and SPG (i.e. referring SPG Lux from SPG personal)
- It's also available with Hilton and Delta

If you have ANY one card in the SPG, Hilton or Delta family, you can generate support links to all the other cards. (This does not work across personal and business though, you stay in one channel or the other). The way to do this is to generate the link for the card you have, go to it and scroll to the bottom (you should see other cards then there).

Just wanted to add that any referral bonuses you get count against the original card you generated the link from, not the card you’re generating the link for. This should be common sense, but it’s worth reminding so people can keep track of their referral limit.

Possibly. Alaska flies out of Terminal 2. These restaurants are in Terminal 3. Terminals at SFO are not connected airside, so you’d have to consider whether you have the time and patience to pass through security twice (drop off any bags at AS, take an AirTrain to Terminal 3, pass through security, eat, exit and take AirTrain back to Terminal 2, pass through security again to get to your gate by boarding time). Both restaurants open at 5 a.m. It could mean a nice hot breakfast.

Not checking anything so it would depend on how busy things are and how quick the restaurant is. Oh and if I want to get up earlier to do it. Probably skip it since it's also my fp day and I'd like to go back to sleep for a bit once I've done them. Thanks foe the info! I agree with PP, it's too bad they put them both in term 3.

I am a bunch of pages behind, but just wanted to say I am the proud new owner of a shiny new SW Biz card!!!! I hadn't checked the status line since yesterday afternoon but logged into my CIP to transfer points to SW to book flights this morning and it was listed! YAY! Over half way to CP! So, how long til I can app for the personal?
And on a side note, I had added myself to DH's oldest amex about 2 weeks ago so apparently it isn't showing as a "new" account...at least yet...b/c that would have made me 1/30 and ineligible for the new biz card.

Boma I think really depends on how many trips to the buffet you want to make. You can head to the buffet as soon as they take your drink order. I would say 30-45 to be on the safe side, and we took our time during our last trip since we had nowhere to be but Disney Springs. But if you want to hustle and get out of there, you could probably speed it up.

I booked a Marriott Room under DH's account, I can't add my name to the reservation and now he can't go. Do I need to call in to have them add my name? or can I just show up?

Its worth calling and saying that you will be arriving first and want to be able to check in to the room, so you'd like your name on the reservation as well. That way you get any perks (and DH gets the night credit in his account). Technically you only get perks/stay credit when you are physically in the room, so don't take his name off the reservation. Usually they are fine with you checking in with a different first name, if you have the same last name, but they can be sticklers. Better to be safe than sorry!

Well this was just a short trip from Omaha to Chicago for DD and I to see my parents for her spring break. I wish it was to MCO!!! Wife would KILL me if we went! I am already in the hot seat for booking a fall trip for DD and I to go to Disney for a week. I mean we have annual passes, DD flys free, I had points for my flight and room... I totally saw a problem that had to be solved there.

I booked flights for spring break to DL (ours is March 11th-15th) this morning, to replace the Oct. flights I have. I was planning on taking the kids out of school for 3 days in oct for only 16k points, with flights from Wichita to SNA. But, DH doesn't want the kiddos missing any school, so I'm trying to find another time to go. Of course since spring break is so popular the only reasonable flights I could get were from Kansas City (2.5 hour drive) to LAX (direct), for 28k points. Not sure if it's worth it for the extra cost or not. I might just decide to go in July instead, but that would be two major trips one month apart (need to use my 7 night/flight package). Decisions, decisions... Why can't DH just work with me?!?

The sports pics photographer codes as “utilities” somehow on the CIP. This is a local, privately owned photography business that also does publicity photos for other local businesses. Maybe that’s why it earns 3x UR?
