I love credit cards so much!

Probably doesn't help you since you are interested in online, but I purchased the Mastercard deal in store for $201.95 last week with the AmEx 10% and the Staples $10/$30 RMN offer. Both have posted. I only purchased the MCGC, no fillers.
Thx! I did one instore today but he guy wanted license to verify card ownership so I couldn’t do the deal on dh’s card. Figured I’d try online for that one.
My instore for this morning hasn’t tracked. Hopefully it is just slow.

I over transferred to Delta 18k more than I needed and I wonder if I will ever use those miles for anything. United is our go to, and Jetblue.
This is one of my fears! I worry that I'll transfer over large numbers of miles, and then the award ticket will disappear. I recently used some Delta miles that I'd had FOREVER on a Virgin Atlantic Business ticket. But I want to say that I'd had those miles for over 5 years!

I've done it twice... once just a $100 Visa GC, that $10 is in my Paypal account as of yesterday :)
Last week bought ink and a $15 Darden GC to get me over $75, it's pending.

I can't believe I forgot Beatrice! DH says it like BEE-uh-triss

Well that is odd since wendow’s didn’t work. Sorta like swagbucks...some track and some don’t.

Very strange. And the second one was odd too. It came as one charge on my credit card, but tracked separately through RMN... originally it just showed a $15 purchase, and after a couple days updated to the full total including the ink. I guess because ink was mailed and gc was emailed?

Just a quick comment when asking for advice:

It is VERY helpful to lay out your cards in Chronological order (from oldest to newest) and clearly identify personal or biz if there's any question.

Here's an example of my cards over the past 24 months:
08/16 Citi AAdvantage (falling off)
08/16 Chase Disney Premier (falling off)
08/16 Chase Marriott BUSINESS (doesn’t count)
10/16 AMEX Green PERSONAL 1/24
10/16 AMEX Schwab Platinum 2/24
11/16 TD Cash Rewards 3/24
11/16 AMEX Everyday Preferred 4/24
11/16 AMEX Gold Card PERSONAL 5/24
11/16 Barclay Arrival+ PC 6/24
11/16 Barclaycard Cash Forward 7/24
02/17 AMEX Everyday 8/24
02/17 AMEX SPG PERSONAL 9/24
03/17 AMEX Biz Gold Rewards BUSINESS 9/24 (doesn’t count)
04/17 AMEX Ameriprise Gold PERSONAL 10/24
05/17 Wells Fargo Cash Rewards 11/24
06/17 AMEX Blue Biz+ BUSINESS 11/24 (doesn’t count)
08/17 Chase Disney 12/24
09/17 Citi Prestige 13/24
10/17 AMEX SPG BUSINESS 13/24 (doesn’t count)
10/17 AMEX Green BUSINESS 13/24 (doesn’t count)

So from here, it's easy to see that I will be under 5/24 in February 2019 (and probably wait until March just to be safe). That is...IF I only hit biz cards between now and then

It'll also be easy to see that in March, I will not have applied for ANY chase cards in the past 12 months giving me a great runway with them.

Who are our people knowledgeable in booking flights with airlines other than SW? @danjoealexis3006 - I only know SW so I don't want to give bad advice here. @calypso726 - not sure if you know Delta. Any others??

My initial thought here is that it makes sense for you to get a Delta Platinum BUSINESS card. The reason I advise a biz card is because you want to keep your personal card count down. Personal cards affect certain rules with other issuers (primarily Chase). If you're interested, you could join our private reddit group (DISchurners) and even support another DISer when signing up for that card. I'm sure somebody would really appreciate that!

The offer is the 70k Delta SkyMiles you previously mentioned (plus you'd get 3,000 points from hitting the MSR - Minimum Spend Requirement) so total 73,000 Delta SkyMiles. It sounds like it gets you priority boarding and a free checked bag too.

Hopefully somebody with more Delta expertise will come along and assist here. My specialties are Southwest, Marriott & Chase mostly.

I know we have some Delta hostages here and Delta can be feast or famine. @danjoealexis3006 what airport(s) are you likely to fly out of and in to?

Edited to add: I see the Delta hostages chimed in. I will fly Delta when convenient but don't make a habit of collecting the Sky Pesos.

I'm loving the Walgreens offer. It's tracked 100% of the time. We have three accounts I'm doing it on. Even though the exclusions say no more than three times with a merchant per month, I've still got the offer even though I've done it three times. May try again .

And just for fun here's my wife to see another example:
07/17 AMEX SPG BUSINESS 0/24 (doesn’t count)
09/17 AMEX Biz Gold Rewards BUSINESS 0/24 (doesn’t count)
12/17 AMEX Delta Biz Gold BUSINESS 0/24 (doesn’t count)

04/18 Chase Ink Pref BUSINESS 0/24 (doesn’t count)
08/18 Chase Sapphire Reserve 1/24
08/18 Chase Sapphire Preferred 2/24

Yup...2/24 and she's gotten 7 cards in the last 13 months LOL!!!

With regards to the CSP, you can cancel it 30 days prior (or product change) and then just reapply and do the double dip. That's the real definition of churning right there :) As a matter of fact...I'm not sure why you haven't already PCed that to a Freedom card? lol! Your husband has a CSP AND a CSR...there's no reason for you to have a CSP too. And when your Husband's CSP comes up in January I'd PC that to a Freedom too. And don't forget to cross-refer each other where applicable so you earn those points too.

If you want to accumulate as many URs as possible then stick with the dates I laid out. If you get more aggressive you could risk shutdown which would be devastating to your goal. As outlined above, you could earn almost 500k in URs in the next year! That's about as good as it gets!

If you need some extra cards...then putting AMEX MR cards in there is good too. You could get a BB+ and then refer husband to a BB+. Same with BGR, Biz Plat, Biz Green...

Keep in mind though, if you get 10-12 cards in the next year...you will eventually start to run out of cards. Take your time with the MSRs, maybe do some PC to freedom cards and take advantage of the 5x categories. At the end of the day - do what you feel is best, but the plan I've laid out is SOLID in my opinion and I spend WAY more time thinking about strategies like this each day than I should... so I know what I'm talking about hahaha! :)

Thank you so so much for your advice! :worship:

I just changed my CSP to CF based on your advice! I now have two CF cards (I was wrong, I did not have a CFU). I figured I would benefit more from those 5% categories with two cards than the 1.5% cash back that the CFU would give me.

I have changed my application dates to the ones you laid out. I am salivating at the 500k! I am like Calypso in that my entire goal is luxury travel but I have two additional hangers on - my kids (lol!) Therefore, for us to travel in style, ie: business class to Europe for example, I'd need approx 800k United miles + $1250, or 1.2 million URs. I know - I am crazy because those points would give me two separate European flights in Economy.

:sad::sad: I'm not crying...it's just...sweat dripping from my eyes.

I hold in my hands...a CSR card. What a day, what a glorious day! :hyper::thumbsup2:goodvibes::yes::

:worship: Patience, thy name is @SouthFayetteFan - I don't know how you held out so long. I ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶c̶r̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ had sweat dripping from my eyes when they released the CSR because I was :rotfl2:/24. I was willing to wait too but got lucky enough to bypass it with the CPC route, which is an admittedly insane thing to do for a card. Waiting would have likely caused me to go into a deep depression, develop various eating disorders and wondering what card gets bonus points for therapy. I am truly happy for you! Congrats on the new CSR card :cheer2: If you close that card next year because of the AF, we may have to shun you :P

Well the good news is that Delta Sky Pesos don't expire. The bad news is that they are still Sky Pesos :rotfl: (just teasing the Delta hostages who can understand my pain as an AA hostage)

Well you're welcome, sometimes we just gotta think it through!

With 2 Freedom cards, you can now earn 15,000 URs a quarter if you can max that out! AND in January you could PC your husband's CSP to a CF and now you have 3 Freedoms! You could even try to do that now...you might have to do the CSP => Sapphire => Freedom trick.

You probably want to hold on to that CSR for potential redemptions.

Where would you put the CSR/CSP doubled dip for me in that schedule?

Thank you so much @calypso726 - means a lot coming from you :)

AND Well you see...the beauty of my new strategy is that I think we can perpetually stay < 5/24, earn 400k+ URs each year and alternate who has the CSR so we never have to pay a 2nd year AF on one...but ALWAYS have one open.

Of course Chase could change something on me and that affect this strategy, but for now, it's our plan!

Glutton for abuse here, but I'm back to report that dh and I both got approved for CIP (dh) and Chase Marriott Biz (me). So happy! :)

So, I've outlined an exact plan for applications based on Lain and SouthfayetteFan's advice. Please bear with me if I have a mistake in this. This solid plan will prevent me from posting any other questions on my strategy for several months.

Any corrections you would do on this plan? Thanks as always for your help!

ME:
Marriott Premiere Biz Aug 2018 (approved)
CIP: Jan 2019 (My Bank of America card will fall off Dec 2018 and I will be at 4/24)
CIC: Mar 2019
CIU: May 2019

DH:
CIP Aug 2018 (approved) - 80k bonus

AMEX card Nov 2018

CIC Dec 2018 - 50k bonus

CIU Feb 2018 - 50k bonus

DoubleDip: United, TBD? May 2018

I’m sure others more experienced than I will respond...but I think you should space out the Chase application more...3-4 months....your applying for 3 Chase business cards in 5 months...Which seems aggressive with Chase...

Edit to add...nevermind...lol I see @SouthFayetteFan has taken good care of you.

I'll just paste it again then add some commentary:

01/19 CIP 4/24 (doesn't count)
04/19 CIC 4/24 (doesn't count)
08/19 CIU 4/24 (doesn't count)
OR you could do...
08/19 CSR/CSP double dip (6/24 - BUT you will be back to 4/24 in Nov 2019)
12/19 TBD but now you have some options.

So in August 2019 you are still 4/24. You could go for a CIU...OR you could do a double dip. Now this will put you at 6/24...BUT in Nov you have 2 cards fall off, and then in Dec you have two more fall off, so now you're suddenly 2/24 in Jan of 2020!

I'd probably do the double dip if I were you...and then come back for a CIU in Dec. That way you get that 24 month clock ticking on the CSR/CSP to churn them all over again in 2021, LOL!!!!

I'm sorry - I just saw that you had already addressed the timing on the CSR/CSP double dip!! How does Chase even allow this?? I thought they were getting more strict. I hope they don't shut me out! Maybe I will be spared since I am such a longtime customer - like 20 years - way before I heard anything about credit card points.

We still haven’t gotten our bonus for my CIP. We moved the statement date and confirmed with chase that it was changed to September 10. I’m getting a little worried about buying plane tickets...
