@Lain where are you vacationing?

We’re in Mendocino for a long weekend, exploring the rivers and the beaches, doing some kayaking and biking, hiking in forests and along coastal bluffs, and just enjoying slow, long afternoons on the patio overlooking the garden with ravens circling overhead and hummingbirds and bees flittering from flower to flower in front of us. It’s beautiful here on the North Coast.

Thank you so much! I went and added those links to my document I've been working on so I can access them quickly. I think the big thing for me is narrowing down my airports and going from there. I've been trying to search too many different options and that's where I'm getting the headache.

Yeah, you have a lot of options. Once you narrow them down, we can help you “math” out the points if you still need it.

is Japan the final destination? if so, LAX-->NRT route's best redemption when it come to points is Virgin Atlantic. you can do 90k in J class ANA metal or 120k in F class ANA metal. add that to @calypso726 and @Lain list.

Yes Japan is the final destination. We are going next May for 2-3 weeks to experience TDR and other parts of Japan.

those are RT tickets i believe. even in economy, its cheaper than United. Linkage

The elite credit for $3000 spend is on the old Marriott card. They took it away for the new version they rolled out recently. Applications for this one are not still available. Stinks because I can not get referrals for old card but I wanted to keep that credit for spend.

As a DP I believe @pillow was also tracking just when these credits post. I went over $3000 spend on June 15th and have not seen a credit post yet. Will keep checking.

Mine posted on the 8th or 9th last month so you should see it soon. I’m keeping an eye out as well.

I just read that the elite credit for spend is going away on the business card as of Aug 26th. The assumption is that it will disappear on the old personal card too. Not sure when though. I think I can get all my spend in by the Aug deadline thank goodness!

@speedyfishy - I was able to open PNC savings acct # 2 today. It was 4 weeks after the first one.

I am really really behind here. Other than the new Starriott points charts, did anything else exciting happen?

The 60k Hyatt card looks interesting . . .

Do restaurants in the park at DLR code as restaurants for the CSR?
Yes but things like food carts don’t. I don’t remember if quick service coded right, but I do remember I kept messing up and using my csr for snacks and water bottles and seeing it coded 1x. Fwiw MP doesn’t code as travel either.

UR points gets @Haley R VS miles, which is partnered with ANA, but she’d need to get from DSM to LAX and back, which is something to consider.

looks like reposition either at ORD or SEA. VS to NRT.
could be a fun call to see if VS can book domestic.

I know its late and everyone is probably asleep. Just got back from a scorching
hot day at Disneyland. Anyway I logged onto my Amazon and lo and behold
the Amex 20 percent offer is there. Couple days ago it seemed everyone had it but me.:smooth:

GOT A bunch of giftcards for Christmas and couple grocery ones. Im halfway done
with my christmas shopping now. I feel like i don't have much money left but floating
in a ton of gift cards stashed around the house from every bonus or special lol.

Is there such a thing as being gift card poor?o_O

Allegiant flies that route for < $200 RT which would be 16,000 UR per person with a CIP or CSP or 13,334 with a CSR.

Paying down my cards feels so good but I’m ready to get it over with it!

Does anybody have the Amazon Prime Card? I’m thinking about getting it for Prime Day. I shop on Amazon a lot and about to start shopping at Whole Foods more. $70 gift card is very enticing compared to all the other card offers.

How would it effect my score?

I interrupt this thread to go totally off topic and vent with how hard i'm finding it to plan our MK day in September!! :surfweb: Park hours are short due to MNSSHP (9am-6pm) and for some reason I just can't seem to get a good plan. I think knowing I plan to use CPFP (if still around) is making it harder. Maybe I should just assume 3 FP and then whatever same day I can get after the first 3 are used. I now return you to our regularly scheduled programming.
The short hours is the reason we decided to go in May instead of October, it really makes a huge difference. Also, I don’t know if you ready easywdw, but he’s been analyzing wait time lately and it’s really interesting, he’s been using data from 2017-18.

Yikes, I was looking at the temps at DLR today and thinking “I hope no one I know is there!” Did the temps at least clear the park out some?
