Fidelity update: I received my bonus yesterday. It still says I need to finish setting up my account with beneficiary and such. So as long as you got in on time and funded, you should get the bonus. I signed up at the last hour. Like others the bonus was deposited in 4 transactions.

Recently posted Salem Five Direct bank bonus of $150 on DoC. Application required a copy of my DL, and they'll review within 2 business days for approval, so we'll see how that goes. No DPs of what counts as a DD either.

The nice thing is, the terms state they will pay the bonus within 10 days of meeting requirements, and you have 60 days from account opening to DD $1500, so it should be pretty easy to see if the usual banks count as DD or not.

Don't think I'll ever get to multiple thousands like others on bank bonuses, but with the Fidelity bonus, I am up to $1400 for the year. Wow that is even more than I had thought. 500 for my Chase checking/savings; 500 for DH Chase checking/savings; 200 5/3; 200 Fidelity. I tried for a Capital One bonus but started too late to get the deposits in on time. I'll start looking at PNC but might wait until I have a Visa where I need MSR so I can use to fund. Right now working on 2 AMEX MSRs.

Question on what is a good IHG points valuation. I had to modify my existing reservation at Canmore, Alberta for August. Was at BestWestern for 2 nights and wanted to change to one night. That caused my rate per night to increase so I am looking to see if there is anything better. I could do the Holiday Inn in Canmore for 40000 points or 20000 points + $126 or $250. I am thinking 40K seems high but not sure. Thoughts?

Any updates on the 5 night Marriott package? Anyone able to book one? Are people still getting their certificated revoked?

I'm a bit confused on the AMEX/Amazon thing. Does it have to be in my "offers" list? Or is it open to anyone? I was thinking I'd pass on it, but FOMO...:rolleyes1

The offer is on the Amazon website. If you have a cards the earns MRs attached to your Amazon account you should be able to check if it's available to you. I kept checking my Amex offer page.

Thanks so much. Now I have to figure out what to buy with it to maximize it's usefulness. Do Whole Foods gift cards count?

I have that same luck. I'm watching all of these MR Amazon deals and really wanting to take part, I don't have any MR earning cards yet though. As soon as I get one, those deals will surely disappear.

So there with you. I do use some of the offers on my delta biz but some of these MR offers, especially on Amazon, seem so much better than what the cards get.

I'm probably not the best person to weigh in, but I get points so I can save my cash for other things. In this situation, I'd take the 40k points every time.

Yesterday when I called to book my 7 night package the guy didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. At first he tried to book the 5 night and I had to tell him I wanted the 7 night instead. I probably would have gone for the 5 but after reading the warning that was posted the other day I didn't want to risk it.

Did you book a Cat 1-5? I'm curious what everyone is deciding is the best option.

Someone give me advice or talk me off a ledge. Pricing out flights to Barcelona from Cvg and the entire Midwest...sucks. JFK is the European gateway for Delta. I can get a non-stop in comfort+ from JFK to BCN for 60k RT. That's insane. It's like 120k from my part of the world (in May. I obviously can't see next August yet). So does it make sense to just fly from CVG to JFK? I feel like it does... I have the Delta plat which will give me a free companion ticket next year. OR I could open a SW card and fly into LGA... We would hang out in NYC for awhile.

Is this insane? Looking for opinions.

DH and I picked up 4 of the cat 1-5 packages. We are only interested in the miles and already got a better value with the travel package than we would have than by just transferring SPG points to an airline.

We now have 4 of the 7 night travel certificates that I have no idea what we will do with. I believe Starwood Lurker insinuated that floater certificates not attached to a hotel reservation will be converted back to points. I’m good with that. I will look into seeing if there is any hotel I’d like before August and attach one of them to a reservation.

When you confirm please let us know. I have enough in Swagbucks to cash out for a discounted amazon card but earning more for Paypal since I want Disney gift card.
Bought $500 Safeway on amazon, $100 off. Just used all Safeway gift cards to buy disney gift cards. They put up to $500 on one! I TESTED FIRST by buying a non-discounted $25 Safeway on amazon to make sure my store allowed it. Got the card in a few minutes. When I bought $500 worth it took 4 hours to process. VERY. HAPPY. Good luck!
