The 100k RR points are showing in my SW account! So relieved the Marriott guy got it right! So for anyone wondering, that transfer took exactly 24 hours.

thanks for the DP! I am waiting on my DH's spa points to transfer to my account b/c I decided to get a cat 8 cert instead of cat 6. But I need those SWRR asap to book myself and DD19 to WDW in less than a month, so I may just call for the cat 6 cert today. Any marriott property I am looking at is cat 8 or 9 and new cats 5/6.

I went with a cat 6. Not exactly sure why. Everyone seemed to think that was a safe bet a couple of months ago.

Did you check out of ORD? Usually that works for me but not this time. You might be better served getting yourself to SEA or LAX but I definitely hear you on the convience factor.

We would prefer not to drive there because it’s 4-5 hours of driving just to get on a plane for 3+ hours. I’m considering going to lax first like you said. I would love to fit Disneyland (California) into our Japan trip but I just don’t think we can take that much work off plus add that many expenses.

Bought $500 Safeway on amazon, $100 off. Just used all Safeway gift cards to buy disney gift cards. They put up to $500 on one! I TESTED FIRST by buying a non-discounted $25 Safeway on amazon to make sure my store allowed it. Got the card in a few minutes. When I bought $500 worth it took 4 hours to process. VERY. HAPPY. Clever! As soon as we get the CSR/CSP cards I keep finding stuff that already works with our AMEX. I would love to try this, but probably shouldn't with the 2 MS we need to hit. Plus we already ordered some cards from Amazon - not sure we could do it again even if we wanted to.

I'm doing my best to keep up and learn the terms and such, but my head is spinning reading all of the posts on here.

And for anyone who has bought a visa from staples.com, when did you get the activation code? I got the visa yesterday but still no way to activate it. Maybe I’m missing something.

Technically I did $475 on Disney and $25 in Brinkers (dinner tomorrow night ). Personally, I wouldn't have done it without first testing it because I really had no use for $500 in Safeway if I had the unfortunate luck of a manager who shut me down (I'm also traveling and there happens to be a Safeway near me for the next couple days). Thankfully I didn't so then I went all in.

Informed delivery isn't 100% accurate, oddly enough. I've gotten images but not the actual mail for a day or two, so I wouldn't panic just yet. In true USPS fashion it's not considered lost for a week

A few more SPG points questions please.

If I sign my DH up for an SPG account today, he has to wait 14 days to be able to purchase SPG points, correct? But, he wouldn't be able to transfer his points to my account because his account would be less than 30 days old, which wouldn't that we were at the same address for the required 30 days, is that right?

Also, if I purchase SPG points using my Amex SPG biz, do I receive 2x points on the purchase?

Thanks for the help! Really wish I'd researched SPG points more earlier on!

they come in 2 different lines. 1x from marriott points, 1x from general points...
ive done it twice, both come with 2x.

Looks like Marriott took out the 1 night after $3k spendings on both the old marriott and marriott biz cards... :\ it looks like its worth upgrading to the new marriott card now, but they took away the upgrade points. :\
