Hilton Honors points.... do they expire? My last Hilton stay was 9/17 but I've recently added to my account through e-rewards. Does that restart the clock?

I did and got FedEx but I have no use for it.

I did however check out the upgrade offer in my Hilton Card. So is it worth 2k MSR & $95 AF for 75k Hilton points?
I just activated this offer on DH’s card. I don’t really see a downside besides the AF if you can meet the MSR. No hard pull, no new card adding to X/24, and you can downgrade it at the end of the year.

they do. buy 1,000 pts for $10 will reset the clock.

edit: oops, failed to see the 2nd part. i think it should.

Got an email from Discover about my bonus this morning :)

I have a plastiq question. I got the email asking for a bill and identity verification the day after I made the payment. I sent information back within a couple hours. I haven't heard anything else. My card shows as processed on the Plastiq website. Does that mean I'm in the clear?

What Hilton card are you guys getting upgrade offers on?? And do you already have the Ascend?

Chase experts- I am so tempted to get the CIC. Ive been giving Chase a break since I’ve opened a bunch off cards in the last year.

Do you think I’m safe to apply or should I wait a few more months?

Here is my history in the last 24m.

4/17- Chase Amazon (got this before I started using points for travel)
8/17 CSR
1/2018 Southwest
2/2018 Freedom

10/2017-CIP

We do have a mortgage(not with Chase) Actually we have two mortgages bc when we moved last year we kept our old house to rent out.

I have had the Disney Visa for almost 10 years and a checking acct almost as long.

Thanks!

I would definitely not consider myself an expert, but my first question would be about your travel plans. You said “we” so I’m assuming there is more than one of you. If you got one SW card this year how would the value of the CP and points earned with SW business card compare with the CIC?

I briefly bought about it but we already had enough SW points to book our Disney trip for Nov.
We mostly likely won’t fly again until 2020 so the CP doesn’t seem too important to us.

We are a family of 5.
Dh,myself, DD13,Ds3 and Dd1

After our Disney trip this year we have a very exciting trip to Sesame Place summer of 2019 and most likely a cruise 2020.

4/12, 2/6, 0/3

id wait Sept 2018 to apply for 1 card.
edit: but ur honestly not at risk imo. would still wait. @SouthFayetteFan ?
I’d probably think 1 Card would be safe at this point. However then you’d want to wait awhile before getting another Chase Card. If you happened to have an AMEX Biz card that’s interested you, I would maybe hit that first then come back for CIC (especially if you have no imminent use for the URs.)

Thanks for the response! Maybe I’ll hold off a little longer to be safe.

I don’t know about Amex enough to go that route yet.

Wait for an email from Plastiq that your payment has been sent. Processed is the step before sent; once sent you’re in the clear.

[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]Ok so Marriott got back to me regarding the issues and said they would change the sheets and give us a $100 credit. I notice today the sheets are still stained. I think it’s another set of stained sheets. the manager is coming up at 1:30 and will supervise the changing of the sheets and she said she would offer us something special. I am livid. First $100 was a little insulting when we have five nights here and the room rate is $300 a night. Do you guys think I’m being ridiculous?

wow, i never see target or home depot at staples... home depot is also a good resale card.

When you buy it at only 10% off though? Home Depot and Lowe’s cards often sell for 10% off from the official gift card sellers already. Most reselling platforms will charge you a 10-12% fee, meaning if you resell a gift card for face value (which you can’t), you’ll still probably lose money or break even at best.

Amazon probably has the highest resell value.

My Amex MB Plat that was approved at the start of April finally reported to my credit report after the second statement closed a few days ago. Got an Equifax report yesterday, expecting Experian and TransUnion to update soon.

33% off the first night for dirty sheets... i think thats not too bad, unless you get dirty sheets everyday. iono. thats just my 2 cents.

i got nothing when we witnessed the maid clean the entire room with a single rag... i guess i dont got standards... haha.

Just had to share. I need to buy two airline tickets to Orlando, one for me and one for my sis. I want to use miles but don't have enough at the moment. My sis flies out of a different city so she needs to fly Delta. I discovered I can solve this problem with both Chase Marriott and Starwood Amex!

For the Delta ticket I can buy it outright with 35k SPG points (I am almost there, and will have them earned on Tuesday)
For the United ticket I need 100k miles for a business class ticket (why not? Only 25k more than an Economy ticket then I'd have to pay to upgrade for economy plus out of pocket). I am using Marriott Chase bonus to transfer those points into my United Mileage Plus account.

Now I hope I can pull this off before those seats sell out!!

I've never used hotel cards for airlines before and this opens up a whole new credit world for me!
