I love credit cards so much!

Unfortunately, Alaska is notorious for denying PP access to their lounges. It’s supposed to be limited to peak times, but I’ve seen too many negative DPs about their lounges at SEA, PDX, and LAX.

We actually got into an Alaska lounge at SEA last December using our PP, and I was pretty shocked they let us in, lol!

He was able to sprint to one of the other lounges. Not sure which one it was. But at that point he had about 5 minutes, so he grabbed some cheese and crackers and a soda. He probably should have just bought some real food instead.

Is it household income or personal? I think close to 40% of personal, including a card I haven't used in 12 years. I lowered it so now maybe 35%?

Most of us use household income for our apps. What did you use on all your apps? If you only told them about personal, then that would be all they know I guess. My personal income is zero at this time, so my personal percentages would be wayyyyyyyy whack. lol

Getting more excited that I booked the Hilton for our DL stay. I just got an email that there’s a double points promotion for this summer. Then I looked at the fine print and noticed that for July 1-31, it’s triple points if you’re a Hilton cardholder!! Since our stay is the 29-31, we should get triple points on our $250 base rate. If I’m doing the math right, we’ll then get an additional 80% on top of that for being Gold with our card (don’t know if they’ll do 80% on top of the triple rate or just the standard base rate), AND we’ll earn 12x Hilton points paying for it on our card!! This has turned into a fairly lucrative stay for only $250!

That's an awesome promotion, the one I signed up for doesn't have that fine print it's just straight double. You'd get double or triple on the base rate which is before the taxes and fees. You should then get the 80% on top of the standard base rate. But the part I like about CC's is you'll get the 12x on all of it charged to the card :)

So if I worked it out right for the triple promotion: $250 base rate at the normal earning rate of 10 per $, with triple points, 80% bonus and CC points is about 13,000. I'm impressed, took us 2 stays (3 more expensive nights total) with the double promotion bonus on each to match that! :)

That’s awesome! I am wondering why I didn’t get DH a Hilton card 10 years ago. I guess at some point we will get enough points that I will want to go back to 3x URs for his hotel stays.

I set up a Chase bank account for the $300 bonus (which was super easy and I highly recommend!), but now I can't figure out how to add an external account. Every time I try to add one, it says "this part of our website isn't working" or something like that. Has anyone else encountered this? I really need to transfer some of that money into another account!

I just told DH about this promotion and said "and we'll get triple points for our Disney stay with our Hilton credit card!" He responded "do we have a Hilton credit?" When I said we did as of last Thursday he just rolled his eyes :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Hmmmm... so lowering my current Chase card limit at lunchtime isn't going to help my app tonight? Maybe I should have last week. Week. Planning the DD tonight.

If you're going for a double dip tonight, give yourself enough time in case you have to call in to get a card approved. Recon office closes at 10 p.m. ET, but the verification office has different hours (I don't have that info handy atm). You want to get both cards approved on the same day. If you can put off applying until business hours tomorrow, it'll give you more time. Good luck!

Well, don't try it if you only have Priority Pass. Maybe Centurion is better about access. This is what my DH encountered at SEA today, his 2nd stop of a 3 stop flight to Fairbanks. Longggggg travel day for him. And this did not make him happy. This is after he had to fetch his luggage from baggage claim from his SW flight and recheck it into Alaska Airlines because they would not play nice with each other and switch it for him. That was a first for him but maybe that is common?

Two pics in one day, I am becoming a pro!
Quite common at SEA.

So I'm trying to book my NCL cruise that I want to use UR points and I'm getting mixed info. First call the rep said I could book it with them using my future cruise deposit and then I could use my UR points later when I make my first payment. This matched what others on here said.
I called twice today to actually book it and got two different reps who said that if I book with them even using the future cruise certificate I have to use all the UR points I want to use today when they booked it. I asked what happens when I transfer a booking to them instead, would I then be able to use my UR points at payment and they said no, they'd need the points at the time of the transfer.
Which doesn't make sense because it's not like it's instant, it could be transferred to them and I'd not even know it until they told me. I told the last rep that I was confused because I knew other people that transferred Disney reservations after making the deposit with Disney and they didn't have to make payment at the time of transfer and they could use UR at final payment. So I asked if there was something different about Disney and he just said he'd never heard of that and it's been like this for as long as he knew.

I know a few folks have transferred reservations with Chase right now, but have anyone gotten to the final payment date and were you able to use UR points? I'm getting confused. Even if I get ahold of the first rep who said I could, I'm not sure who to believe - him or the others :confused3

I believe @DaveL did on his last Disney trip. Maybe @Ngwira too? Someone else has done this as well, but I can't remember.

Looks like @DaveL talked to Melissa at Cruise and Tour ext. 4179 and she was able to transfer his reservation. I'd try that.
