I know. Both DH and I are working on Marriott Biz MSR right now. We aren't big spenders, so its tough! I prepaid electric + had a pretty big vet bill (had to put our sweet kitty down this morning - sad) + paying car insurance bills. The rest will go to GOC cards, which I guess is ok as long as I'm not working on an Amex MSR.

I've been looking at how I'm going to reach my MS on the CIP that I hope to get next. I saw on the GOC website that each card has a $200 limit. Can you purchase and apply more than one at a time? In my case they will go on a student loan.

So that really does depend on what type of food you want/like. Oddly enough we don't have good access to German restaurants in my area, so even though it's a buffet and not anything spectacular (still good), we always hit up the Biergarten. You get a show and we stuff ourselves on sauerbraten and several types of wursts and spaetzle and can't forget the Liter of Beer to wash it all down.
Ohana's has mostly been good for us too. I've lucked out an managed to snag ressies during the fireworks each time we tried, but we're only a part of two so that might make it easier. Only once did we think it wasn't as good as we remembered but there had been many mixed reports so it's up to individual tastes and how good the kitchen staff is that night.
We also enjoyed the Coral Reef but haven't been recently so not sure if it's still up to par. When we went with the nieces and nephews all the kids liked the aquarium view.
Oh, also, I forget the name but the restaurant in Morocco, we liked there for something different and thought they had good lamb and I'm not a lamb person.

I just realized though I should have prefaced this with, we don't do ADR's often so some of my data may be quite old We mostly stick with QS and like to sample so we eat around the world in Epcot a lot.

I have gotten where I prefer not to eat at sit down restaurants alot. It sucks up sooo much time, not to mention money, and I hate having ADRs to plan my day around. I prefer spontaneity...esp with a toddler. Here are our faves...some TS and some QS.

Crews Cup Lounge- next to Yachtman steakhouse at the YC. DH's fave. Quiet, no ADR required. Small menu, wings and such. We usually order several small plates and share.

AK- Yak n Yeti or the attached counter service. Both very good. I also like the new Satuli Canteen or whatever it is called in Pandora. Yummy!!!

Epcot- Via Napoli, Rose n Crown (lunch- Scottish egg) or any number of CS options...boulangerie patisserie is prob my fave.

DHS- good luck there, lol. I do like the chopped salad at HBD and they have the lounge area (not sure on hours) that you can do without an ADR...unless that changed/closed.

MK- We usually do CHH here for a decent QS meal. DD18 gets the salmon. I usually do fried fish. I still have never done BOG, though, because I have ended up canceling it every time. I want that croquet monsieur there but the timing never works out. I really liked the plaza in the past, but it has been a few years, so not sure how the food is now.

YC/BC has Beaches n Cream that is yummy but now that it has ADRs we don't go anymore. Sigh. It used to be great if you are staying there, to pop in for an early dinner/late lunch. Not anymore. Double sigh.

Poly- Kona was a fave but haven't been in a few years. DH loved O'Hana, but again haven't gone in a few years. Generally things change quickly at WDW so I am going to assume they have gone downhill since I was last there.

The new outdoor restaurant at WL is soooo good. I think it is Geyser something or another. We only were there 1 night and I think we ate there 3 times. lol

Well thanks, now I am craving Disney. I have been tossing around a last minute trip in about 2 weeks with the kids. Just can't decide if better to wait til later in the year for toy story land. decisions decisions.

Do you have a mortgage or rent you can pay through plastiq? I knocked out our CIP MSR right away paying the mortgage.

I am not sure on GOC...I know Toys R Us isn't doing them anymore since they are closing. Do you have somewhere to buy them?

When it's just the 2 of us we tend to go commando and so we're with @disneymagicgirl and do a lot more QS for the flexibility. Plus if you hit up the right places you can feed 2 on one meal.

California Grill is amazing, although we haven't been there in several years. Our favorites from our most recent trips were Sanaa at AKL, Teppan Edo in the Japan pavillion at Epcot, and Yachtsman Steakhouse. We also really like Chefs de France and the Jungle Skipper Canteen. There are so many good choices!

another stupid jetblue question here and way OT.... how do I know if I'm a mosaic member? I don't really get their program. HAven't flown them in years, I have a mosaic packet I got a year or so ago which details all the benefits of 'my' mosaic membership tho...I think I got it when they offered a free status match with...something. I don't se anything on my JB acct page that tells me anything other than I haven't qualified for 2019. where do I look?

When you go to jetblue.com, sign in and then click on "your name's TrueBlue". Scroll down to the bottom and it should have your mosaic status there.

I'm only doing MCMVP and one day at HS on my November trip and I'm honestly not even looking forward to ADR day in a couple days. We've never tried Mama Melrose so I guess we'll try that

Why not both? You have to be under 5/24 to get the SW Biz and CIP, but neither will add to your */24 count. I got 2 Chase biz cards with just a "business." Just space out your Biz apps by at least 3 months. If you want to get the CIP first, get it in June, dabble in some Amex biz cards afterwards, or another Chase personal if another slot opens, then go for the SW Biz towards the end of the year for 2019-2020.

Well, I have a 9 yr old CIC. I feel pretty confident that I can get a 2nd Chase Biz card, but if I have to choose between SW and CIP, I'll go with SW for the CP. I think I can wring more value out of a CP over a 2 year span than 80K or 100K UR points even with the 1.5 multiplier on my CSR. Having had a CP since 2015, I kind of feel bereft at the thought of losing it.

All that said, are there any DPs of anyone out there with 3 Chase Biz cards with only a "business?"

P.S. I've opened up 4 AMEX Biz cards in the past 5 months (mostly for DH) and the spend is killing me lol

We like to pack cheap lunches (sandwiches, fruit, etc) to take into the parks and then go out for a nice sit-down dinner. Our favs . . .

Flying Fish Cafe (Boardwalk)
Teppan Edo at Epcot (hibachi)
Spice Road Table Epcot (on lagoon in front of Morocco) - tried this for the first time in December - surprised at how good it was - and prices weren't horrible
Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge - we did the Wanyama Safari there once - very expensive but it was so much fun. Plus, we've done their wine tasting. Loved that!

And for cheap eats, the food court in front of Soarin is terrific. High quality food at a decent price. We've had dinner here in the past to give our wallet a break.

I agree food at HS is bad. We've eaten at the Hollywood & Vine buffet just to get the Fantasmic package. The food was good I thought, but its way overpriced.

Let me preface this by saying my family is NOT foodies LOL. We are pretty basic eaters.
We loved the Yachtsman, but it is quite spendy. We are doing it this year, because we are there on my husbands actual birthday.
We all love Via Napoli.
Hollywood Studios is not the greatest, but we didn't mind Mama Melrose, but I also don't mine Hollywood and Vine. Like I said, we are basic LOL, and I like to be able to eat little bits of lots of things and lot's of desserts at one meal.
For that same reason we really like Cape May Café.
We also like a good breakfast buffet/family style, I love breakfast food.
We like Chefs deFrance for lunch also.

Discover is completely different than Chase or Amex so having a higher credit limit there is a good thing. Will help raise your overall credit score.

Thanks and thanks to @Lain . I know higher limits generally increase my score. Didn't know that Chase will only look at limits they extend. I will be cancelling one of my Chase cards before applying for CFU so that should help reduce my limit with them.

I don't know the answers to your Hyatt questions, but here is my input on Atlantis. We booked Comfort Suites a few years ago when we went on a Disney cruise. If you go that route, definitely know all the extra fees before booking the room but it is still much cheaper than booking through the cruise line. Our girls enjoyed Atlantis! The lazy river is very fast, not lazy at all. It was very crowded and the food was incredibly expensive. My biggest issue is that most of the water rides are in enclosed tubes and I get more and more claustrophobic each year. We ended up doing a bounce back offer a few months later and just stayed on the boat during our stay in Nassau. There is so much to do on the boat!

Thanks for the info. When you did the Baha Mar - did you check in and check out at the same time. Or just check out when you left for the day?

You can apply as many GOC cards as you want to your GOC account. I used to buy mine at Toys R Us - so only $5.95 per $500 card. Now that they've closed, the options are very limited. There is a pharmacy in NC/SC I believe that sells them (Fred's perhaps?). If you're not close to a store where you can buy the physical cards, the only option is online. I won't do that though due to the high fee on the $200 limit. Best Buy is supposed to get these cards at some point, but the rollout has been delayed and delayed and delayed. I won't buy more till they show up there (if they ever do!).

Look into Plastiq. You get 3x when paying bills there on your CIP. Some mortgages work (you may have to get creative with spellings). Or you can pay rent, utilities, car payments, etc.
