I love credit cards so much!

Agree...I've been going back and forth with it myself. I'm going to end up cancelling the CIP before applying for the CIC just based on when my CIP AF will hit (june) and when I am finally...if ever...done with the 7k spg biz MSR and able to begin working on the CIC spend. My dh has a CIP though so any plastiq spending will just move to that if I get denied for the CIC. I'd love to see more DP's on people going for a 3rd Chase biz card.
It's a difficult decision for sure...

i applied on a thurs night, it didnt approve till Monday... just keep calling status line until something changes...
So should I not have him call in and ask about the frozen credit until/unless the status changes to not approved? I was going to have him call tomorrow.

@Ava - I agree with the thought here BUT the problem is if you get denied then you don't have a CIP or a CIC... :( It's a tough call...
Good point. Hopefully my wife will be approved for CIP when I refer her, so we’d have her CIP at least.

I’m in the same boat. Just started working on the $7K MSR for SPG Biz, so I have a few months to think about it/read DPs.

I saw you have until July 14?? I have until July 7. If, big if!, I can get my mortgage to go through, I can get 3 mos (may, june, july) and that will do it. I've put almost $1k on the card at this point, and my mortgage is $2100 month. Just need that CIC bonus to hang on for a bit longer than May...

But we've hardly applied for any cards in the last year, so I assumed it would be auto-approved.:(:charac2:
I think it is a very special thing to be auto-approved for a Chase biz card. Don't think too far into it, just stay positive until there's reason to be negative :)

Unless you have a very important reason to need this card in the next few days, I'd let it play out first. Worst case you wait until Monday and if nothing happens then maybe call. In the meantime, If the status line changes to 7-10 days that could be a bad sign and then maybe you call. Obviously it's your decision though - if you want him to call that's not necessarily the "wrong" decision.

30 days usually means the computer didn't like something, so need human to check and approve.

u could call if u urgently want it, but at the moment, it's hasn't been reviewed.

Thank you! If I have a chance at work tomorrow morning, I'll do this. DH's CSR referral link - will that only work to get me the CSR? But I want the CSP more, so should apply for CSP first and then use his referral link in another browser after approval for CSR?

Hi!!! I need to get back on here more regularly, but it's been a struggle to have enough focused time and energy at the same time. I badly miss the TRs and am working towards being more regular on here again. The last year really threw me off all my routines. I'm so glad you found this info! Sure makes a lot more travel possible! We paid $600 of our DCL Alaska 2019 deposit w/DH's Barclay Arrival Plus card recently, then were able to get a credit for the full $600 from our points - that was sweet!

DH and I both opened TCF accounts for bonuses last year. We got two different mailers a couple months apart. I think I had to spend $250 with a debit card and he had to make an electronic payment for $250? We both opened in branch. Took a little time in person (and they told me I could NOT fund with a credit card), but it was otherwise super easy and immediate bonus.
Since you want the csp then I would def apply for that first. I used incognito for both. Opened the window applied. Once approved closed the window and then opened a new incognito window. Like others said you can use a dischurners link for csp and then your DH for CSR. Good luck applying and let us know how it goes.

I just got the SPG Biz with the 35K for $7K spend offer, so can't take on any more spend right now. I also have the Marriott Biz in addition to CIP. So would it be better to wait to go for CIC until after I've cancelled CIP, since I already have 2 Chase biz cards?
I haven’t seen a ton of dps for three. Do you have a true business? You could get an Ein and use that for the cic. Getting three chase bus cards under ssn I think is risky. I have two businesses so when I wasn’t auto approved for the sw I called immediately and then was approved. CIP I called again Bc I’m impatient and wanted to know. I’ll be applying for the CIC soon but I had the sw cancelled last month. If your dw has the CIP then I would cancel your CIP and wait 35 days and apply for the CIC. Since there’s a better chance of getting approved with 2 chase bus cards.

Will chase apply a referral after the fact? Friend of mine went to apply for a CIP with my link and at the last second backed out and applied for a CSR w/out telling me to he didn't use my link.

Lol I wouldn't advise her signing up for an Emirate account after just a quick perusal of their frequent flyer program. For one thing, miles expire after ~3 years unless there's some activity in the account, so unless you think there's going to be more flying on Emirates in the next 3 years, those miles will go to waste. Google Emirates partners, and see if there are ones in the list you can foresee using in the future (Alaska Air? JetBlue? Virgin America?). Then find the details about how Emirates flights can be credited to that airline's program.

Thanks for the list. JetBlue seems to make the most sense, but boy do they suck. After checking out where they fly to and from, I thought great, maybe she could get a free flight to and from school, Chicago - Pittsburgh. Nope, they do not fly between these cities. I looked at maps again to see where they go, thought maybe she could get to Orlando on a school break, no direct flights. Finally figured out how to see direct flights only. From Pit options are Boston or Fort Lauderdale. From Chicago it is Boston, Fort Lauderdale or New York. So not great options, but better than the other 2 for her. I believe the miles go either 1:1 or 1:2 depending on her ticket type. I checked out a mileage app and it looks like her ticket would generate around 20,000 miles round trip so hopefully either 20,000 or 10,000 on Jet blue could get her something in the future.

This is crappy for all of us chasing the CP. I have it through the end of this year and was going to have DH open both cards to get the CP for 2019/20. I am not into getting a "business" card so I guess no more CP for us. :headache:
I'm guessing this was like, a bazillion people too. Which is why they changed it. oh boo!

I messaged Chase about matching to 100k for my CIP. I didn't think it would work, since I have a local branch 2 miles from my house. Well, this is the message that I got:

Jennifer, we reviewed the offer associated with your account and have confirmed it was 80,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open.

We'd like to match the new offer you received, but you'll need to email us the offer code and invitation number that was included on the information we sent you. This code is unique to the person receiving the offer and can only be used once. Please reply to this email with a copy of the offer or fax the information to us at 1-888-643-9628.

Do you think I might have a chance at getting an offer code and invitation number if I go to my branch and talk with a BRM?

I am in the same boat as you. I thought I may have seen them somewhere at a store but can't remember where. Haven't bought any.

As of November, there wasn't anywhere to buy them except direct from Etsy. There is new leadership though, so maybe they are expanding their scope? https://firstquarterfinance.com/where-to-buy-etsy-gift-cards/

It looks like it might be in branch only and they are asking for the flyer received in the mail as proof you were invited. I’ll have to watch the mail.

It is in branch only, which means I will not be able to get DH to go and I can't fund it with his credit card. It only requires $25 to open and just one $500 DD or $250 debit card purchase. Since I can easily modify my DD online, that is what I will choose. And since there are no maintenance fees and no penalty for closing the account, this should be the easiest bonus that I have gotten. Now to look for the closest branch location.

Does a HELOC count against your 5/24? I wouldn't think it would.

Curious also what the status line said??

We just opened a HELOC with Chase and I had no trouble getting the CIP. DH got approved for CIC and IHG this month too. I doubt it counts.

I have been playing around on the Chase UR portal to see what the points from my new CSP will get me. My plan was to use my UR points to offset WDW hotel costs. I'm a bit discouraged because it seems like the Chase portal prices are high! I looked at the price for a stay at the CBR. It looked comparable at 198./night until I realized that this is for a king bed room. We need 2 queens and the price of that is 289./night, compared to 222./night on the WDW site (it would have been 237. but there is a room offer). If I called Chase directly would I be able to get the price that's on the WDW website, or am I limited to only what they offer?
