I love credit cards so much!

So I went on Costco.com last night and the ad promo for the $50 credit was gone.

But I had already started loading up my cart - easter stuff for my grands, a cute outfit for one of them, etc, so I continued and used Visa Checkout. No gift cards as I did have things I wanted that I would have purchased in the warehouse - delivery is better for the large raised garden bed I bought for my deck. Gee whiz - didn't know how much I really wanted this until I subtracted $50 from the price of $169.99!! It will be perfect as I plant Hibiscus every year in huge pots and then the pots are too low so I have to find something to stand them on. I have to keep these on my deck because the deer eat the blossoms when they are on my patio. Apparently they don't climb steps!

Then I started wondering if there was a promo code needed. I can't see one on DOC's page so hopefully not.

It says 6-8 weeks for the statement credit. Yikes! Amex credits usually in a few days!

So, I usually pay the charges as soon as they pop up. Don't let me forget to track this one - should be here by the end of May. Writing myself a note on my May spreadsheet....

When you do the P2P apple pay, do I need to worry about cash advance charges like plastiq?

Oh man, I went to WDW for 10 days at the beginning of March and haven't had a chance to read here since before my trip. I have 225 pages to catch up on!

But also, thanks to everyone here who posted about the Club at MCO. Our return flight was delayed but thanks to this thread I knew how to get to the lounge, and it was wonderful!
So jealous of your 10 days. The CIC bonus is up to $500, which is awesome.
Good luck catching up.

Are there any restrictions against donations to charitable organizations counting toward minimum spend?

So from the advice in this thread, I just called Amex because I signed up for the 25k Amex SPG offer and was hoping to see if they would gift me with any points for not getting the 35k offer. Really I intentionally applied for the 25k offer because I was scared of the $7k spend, especially since it's my first Amex and wasn't sure who all would accept it, etc. Well, they gifted me with 3,000 SPG points! I know it's not the 10,000 points that others received, but I'm pretty excited about it! I don't have a set plan for the points, was really just killing time with an MSR while I'm waiting to go back under 5/24 with Chase. I was so nervous to call because I was scared if they offered to actually give me that offer then I'd have to come up with the additional $2k spend, but in reading other's experience it didn't seem like that happened to anyone so that made me confident enough to at least try. So thanks for everyone who posted that they had done this and had success!!!

There will be more trips to Denver - she goes 2-3 times a year because her father is there.

So I will let her know those items are good.

Are there other lounges in the airport?

And, for the cost of a tip, absolutely!
We usually seem to end up at a chain at the airport and spending $40-$50, so $10 is a steal :) sometimes we just do nachos and quesadilla and split. There's a nutella dessert that's also good.

You can join at any age. You just cant get their insurance until you are 50.

Funny this should come up. Dh just got a card in the mail yesterday wanting him to sign up (he is 50). Are the discounts really great, and at what kind of places? Is the insurance good, we are shopping insurance right now? DH is the only one of us that's 50 though.

I just applied for the SPG Business card (using a DIS churners referral link), and got a message saying my application has been received. Is that normal or a bad sign? I'm used to immediate approvals!

ETA - I received an approval via email about 25 minutes after applying! Now to spend $7000...yikes.

For the debit card transactions, these can be tiny, like a pack of gum or $1 reload to Amazon, right? And is that 10 per month or just 10 and then the commitment fulfilled for those?[/QUOTE]

I did mine mostly at Dollar Tree. As long as there was no line, I would have the cashier ring up my items separately.

Not bad - this happens often with AMEX Biz cards. If you google AMEX application status you can find a site where you can check the status of your approval :)
