honestly, there's a big difference between doing ms and meeting msr. a lot of our MS strategy will fall under the cash equivalent rule. therefore can be a hit or miss.

only route available i can think of is to overpay ur utlility bills and use platiq on bills that can't be paid with a credit card.

if u haven't filed ur taxes, that strategy might work as well.

Yeah I’m taking a gamble buying cash equivalents for MSR, but I don’t see any other way. Lol

Weird. Have you called them in a Hail Mary to see what’s up? Also pull your Chex Systems report since you’ve been denied an account. This will tell you if there’s anything negative in your bank history that you may have forgotten/not known about. It takes a while to get the report via snail mail so maybe it will be there when you get back (it does contain sensitive info so make sure your mail is on hold or someone is picking it up though).

Well you could call and see what's up, but since they're offering you to open in branch it doesn't sound completely dead. Since you're a first time customer, they may have a stricter ID verification process and prefer that to happen in person. Hopefully it's something silly like that.

Haven't called yet as I've been super busy all day yesterday and today. I suppose I can just go to my local branch and see what's up.

The bank could just be picky. Maybe try Discover savings. It’s free no direct deposit just have to transfer 20k into the account but you can use the same few k and just keep transferring in and out until you get the bonus.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am no where near ready to start with banks requiring that high of a deposit. Just dipping toes, not diving in head first yet. I definitely need to do way more research before I think I'll be ready for something like that.

It would be about 1-3p on a Monday afterno on.

It might be busy but the morning and evening is when it's most busy .During that time it'll be more AS connections which I don't think will be a ton. More of the flights they get connecting here are smaller flights from eastern Washington or maybe flights from Canada. I'm sure most from.Vancouver are connecting in Seattle but your Chicago flight probably has a good portion that are originating here.

Our airport is busy and an AS hub but.most of our passengers originate here or connect to Asia, Alaska and maybe Canada. We just got 10 new tsa dogs to help the lines go faster.

BoA Premium Rewards...Only fly Domestic for now. Planning a trip in 2021 to Tokyo...maybe one in 2019 for London. We usually fly 2 or 3 times year so this should speed things up in MCO.

So the costco/visa checkout page says it is no longer avail, but the end date is 3/30. I'm confused. It doesn't appear to be necessary to click through a special link. Just buy stuff and checkout with visa checkout using a visa. So think I could still get it?

I probably wouldn't risk it now. Unless you were going to order from costco anyway.

Need to apply for CIC. DH got BOA card in January. He’s 4/24 until 10/18 when CSP drops off. So he’s ok for CIC and could still do SW Premier & Biz in November for CP?

Had this exact problem yesterday! I was going to stop at the grocery store and buy a Visa Gift Card, but had a narrow window of when my daughter got home to help pick up the car and when I had to pick up my son and the store was not on the way. Ended up just using my CFU.

I think applying for the CIC now would be okay. He is more than 60 days out from his last application. And if I read what you are saying he will be 3/24 in October with the plan for SW in November. Far from the expert but it seems to me that should work.

Fate is a funny thing they say- gotta agree! Personally fate and I aren't sure how we feel about each other right now... The last couple days I've been trying to pull the SPG personal 30k incognito offer but no matter what I did it hasn't happened. I was also really worried about applying for the card (I asked here, I asked on Reddit- I was freaking out about applying for an Amex card for heaven's sake- what was wrong with me?!) it was like something was telling me nope, stop, you don't wanna do this- but I worked really hard to ignore that little voice in my head/fate/chance/going crazy/whatever you want to call it and would have applied if I'd gotten the darn thing to pull at 30k. I tried everything the last couple days and I felt like everyone else in the world could get it to pull up. Low and behold yesterday comes around and my boss tells me they're going to be using the company spend for the next couple months to meet MSRs. (I meet MSRs by using mostly company spend) Boss = mother, who I have nudged not so gently into this little hobby and has pretty much give me free reign to use the company spend for my MSRs, so I can't really complain. I'm very proud of her actually, alas that means I'm gonna cool my heals for awhile meeting MSRs and will instead live vicariously through all of you meeting them and bagging bonuses! (As for meeting the spend another way besides work charges let's just jot that down to "it's way complicated" & suffice it to say I'm happy I'm not worried about MSing that spend when I have no plan for SPG points right now anyway.)

I had tried to talk myself into the SPG also, then I chickened out. I just can’t see doing that MS right now. I will still get points on my other cards and when I feel ready something will come along. I can say I haven’t lost any sleep over it.

When I thought a message was due to the credit limits, I always called and inquired. Every time they moved credit around and I was approved right away. And when you call, they give you the option of how the credit gets moved around. So I could take from any of my existing cards and choose the limit I wanted on the new card. This is extremely advantageous.

Don't worry yet, it can take a couple weeks to work their way through the Chase system and after the bonus has been approved my suspicion is they all wait until Chase batch processes them. We should see another processing of bonuses either next week or 2 weeks from now and you have better odds of being in that batch methinks

@wendow - did you get your Freedom product change completed yet and see Q1 activated? I can confirm that on all of my CF cards (the 2 we had, and the 2 we PCed from CFU) that we now see the 7,500 pts pending.
