Delta gold personal doesn't have links available right nowOK I am stumped on this one. I am trying to update my referral link and I keep getting a "not eligible" message that then links to a list of included cards that includes my card (Delta Gold). Any ideas on why this is happening or what to do about it?

Everyone: All Delta referral links not generated today are dead. Just went through our group, tons of dead links. If you've posted them anywhere or sent one to someone recently update to the new link.
SPG links are still live, the old links will give you 25k / $5K offer, new ones give the updated 35k / $ 7K offer

I don't want to tell you what to do...but you REALLY should consider AMEX biz cards...they pass them out like candy on Halloween. Maybe you have a "prospective" business idea and just enter your "projected" revenue...This SPG offer is GREAT...Ugh, if only I wasn't trying to get under 5/24 (biz cards aren't an option for us)...!
I would suggest that you set up automatic monthly payments through Plastiq once you find what works for each mortgage. When they cracked down on Visa mortgage payments last year, any payments that had already been set up for autopay continued to be processed.Yes! That worked! I think the trick was separating Di and tech. Thank you so much!!!!
For all of you who have been waiting for a higher offer on the SPG Biz, here it is:
Earn 35,000 bonus Starpoints after you make $7,000 in purchases within the first 3 months. Annual fee is waived for the first year, then $95. Offer ends 3/28/2018.
[UPDATE] As @SouthFayetteFan reported, "support" links for this new, higher offer are now available. If you are interested in this offer (and it's a really good offer), please show your support for this wonderful community and thank someone who you feel has helped you in this thread by applying through their link on /r/DISchurners. For those on DISchurners, you'll need to update your links for this new offer.
Note that the higher offer does carry a higher minimum spending requirement. $7k in 3 months may be a bit much for some without getting creative with your spend. But you’ll come out of this with at least 42,000 Starpoints, which is no small sum! The 35k offer ends 3/28/2018. (For those of you thinking about buying Starpoints at 35% off from points dot com, that offer ends 3/16/2018.)
I get it, the $5K spend was hard enough for me, I ended up funding bank accounts to hit it when I got great offers on other credit cards. Now I'm wishing I hadn't! I thought about not calling amex in case I got asked why I charged $3K at bmo harris but decided to go for it after seeing a couple dps of people getting 3,000 spg points. Friendly rep goes on to say at the end of our pointless convo she's filed a complaint on my behalf. Great. now I will have eyes on those transactions- there's a lot to say for keeping your spend legit! (plastiq is more legit than bank funding though!)... I'm a little bummed that I didn't wait, but I'm struggling to meet the $5 minimum spend without including my mortgage payment, which I'm still able to process through Plastiq on the CIP and I don't want to mess with it.
I wasn't even going to bother trying after an unsuccessful attempt on my SPG personal card last year. Maybe I'll give it a shot since it's only been about 6 weeks and a few others have been given some courtesy points.Called to get matched to the new SPG Biz offer (I got the card 2 months ago) but no go, wouldn't even credit courtesy points. A couple people on Reddit got offered 3K courtesy spg points, I got spiels from the online chat rep and the phone csr about how valuable spg points are and how I could get more points if I refer someone and that if I add an authorized user I'll earn points faster- I feel like the sales department has taken over customer service for the day!
ETA: updated card acquisition date
I've stayed with all organic spend to meet the SPG Biz, even trying to stick with spending that I could justify as being for my "business". I may be overly cautious, but I don't want to open myself up to prying eyes right now. If I hadn't bought a new Mac I'd be that much harder pressed to reach $5K.I get it, the $5K spend was hard enough for me, I ended up funding bank accounts to hit it when I got great offers on other credit cards. Delta Plat Biz has a $195 annual fee NOT waived in yr 1
Delta Gold Biz has a $95 annual fee WAIVED in yr 1
I'm sure the benefits of each card have some differences too (Plat earns some MQM miles...whatever those are, lol). The Gold seems like the better offer to me since you avoid the $195 annual fee but I am by NO MEANS a Delta expert![]()
I just checked a precious National charge on my CSR: yes, it coded as travel/3x.Does anyone know if National car rental codes as travel on Chase Sapphire Reserve? Thanks!
I know this is opinion only but YOu all seem to know more than I do.... as far as any shutdowns that might happen...what do ya'll think of this scenario? DH and I are (basically) in 2 player mode- I'm at 5/24 and countingI currently hold the CP good thru 12/2018- I also still have 2 open sw cc accts. Dh will be 3/24 by 12/2018,and my plan is 2 sw apps in 12/18 or 1/19 to get the CP for 2 years. And then hopefully after we finish that, a CSP for him. (it's been more than 2 yrs bonus) What do you think? Will it raise any flags? I'm leaving Dh's accts alone 100% until next Dec anyway. I can potentially do sw 1&2 in Dec/Jan- then do CSP in March(?)(but it's obvious mine are attached to his lol we're married) If things remain the same as far as getting cp,is this a decent plan?
This is truly an amazing thread! I started on 810 but was lost (the ACRONYMS kill me LOL). Then I started reading from the beginning but I've only gotten through page 21 so far. I am kicking myself because I never knew about this opportunity to save on travel. The only thing I ever did was open a Disney Visa before our trip last year. I did it for the gift cards, which were great, but I thought it was a once and done deal. Wow! there is so much more out there. This shall be my new hobby! It fits me perfectly - detail oriented and LOVE a travel bargain!
I have searched around the web and found some great step by step guides but they were not current so I was hesitant to follow their specific advice. Some say start with Chase cards, and others say they're not the best way to go. I want to jump in (and get started on the minimum spend) but I'm afraid to make the wrong card decision. If anyone has links to current beginner-type content, I'd be grateful. Also, what is DisChurners? Can I join that too?
@wendow - always glad you're here burning the midnight oil. I'd be bored if nobody else responded to this thread after midnight eastern, haha!
I once got courtesy points on SPG - last year in May I believe. I had to escalate the call once...the second level person was much more helpful.Called to get matched to the new SPG Biz offer (I got the card 2 months ago) but no go, wouldn't even credit courtesy points. Strange creative use for the Delta Gold Biz Card:
I'm posting this for people who are trying to stay or get under 5/24 (and slow their roll with Chase)...but have already hit some of the popular Amex Biz cards (SPG, BGR)...
I recently got the Delta Gold Biz card...spent the $2k and earned 52,000 Delta miles. I also purchased a $50 Delta gift card (for free after the stmt credit). One problem...I don't fly Delta EVER...hmmmm. Now you think I'm crazy - well I sold the gift card on Raise.com and earned $41.80. I redeemed 51,000 Delta miles for a $250 target gift card. The way I look at it - I got a $291.80 return on spending $2,250 (including the target "spend" I could've put on another card instead of the GC) at a return of 13%. Pretty good deal! AND now we can refer player 2 to the card, do it all over again and this time get a little better return.
I'm not suggesting everybody do this - just a creative way to redeem that still gives you a decent return. For those not interested in flying Southwest...I'd consider this option too as you can cash out those SW points into GCs at a pretty nice rate too.
You can browse all the gift card offerings here: https://marketplace.delta.com/category.aspx?CategoryID=882Thanks for this creative idea for us non-Delta people! I was hoping to get the SPG biz next but $7k is too much spend for us (I struggle with $5k). Maybe I could do the Delta Gold Biz while I wait for the SPG biz offer to drop back down (seems like a weird thing to wish for lol!).
