Earned my companion pass today, this has to be the fastest I have seen the points post; Statement closed yesterday and today the points were available and companion pass unlocked. I have not even gotten the Chase email yet the statement was available.

Anyway, I added my daughter to the summer flights I already booked and it issued her a different conf number. Does anyone know if you need to check in twice or does checking in the master conf number allow you to selected everyone?
You will need to check her in separately. She won’t be listed under your reservation.

Thanks! Figured it wont be too much of a problem as long as I get the wife and I checked in quick since I don't think they'll stop a kid until their number. :D

It really depends. A couple of times we had gate agents tell us we had to wait until that later # or let DS board by himself. We actually swapped DS’s for DH’s on one of our international flights. (I thought I had got him EBCI also and must not have.) So DS and I got on the plane and saved a seat for DH.

Amex offers have been lately on DHs card. Anyone else getting anything good?
Nada. However I have to give a shout out to amex because I just finished the spend on the my new Blue cash card and before
the statement has even ended they credited the $250 bonus. I was shocked that happened because I usually have to call new
cards and say...."where are my points/miles money etc:P

I feel like there’s a word missing here. Lol. But Amex Offers have been pretty stale lately. I feel like it gets this way after the holidays. Today I noticed an offer for 15% back from Starbucks up to $5 max, which is $33.34 in spend. There’s also an offer for $10 back on $40 spent at Etsy. Nothing that’s going to make me rush out or online to get this deal right away.

I had the Starbucks offer on one of between us 5 cards. I did have it on mine a couple months ago so maybe that is why. But thank you for doing the math on how much to spend...I started to figure it out and just got tired and gave up! So now I know. If you do Starbucks it is fairly easy to just take the card into the store and have them reload your account. Of course the offer is only on DH’s SPG so I guess I will need to take it in and do it and hope they don’t look too closely at the name. I would ask him to do it but not worth the explanation it will take (it isn’t that great of an offer).

You can reload the gift card in the Starbucks app, I wonder if that counts towards the credit.

Not that I am aware of :( The Barclay Arrival+ is what I was using to meet the promo requirements. It earns 2% but the plastiq fee is 2.5%. The only reason it made sense to use it is b/c Plastiq was giving 1% back and I was trying to meet min spend on that card.

Have you tried getting creative with how you address your payment? @vanjust14 came up with a way of addressing hers that plastiq did not detect was a mortgage payment. She shared and I used it too. Mine went through plastiq and I am just waiting for it to be received by my mortgage company (Provident).

Do you know what page? Did you change the name? Interested in how you got it through with a visa.

I received a SM back from Chase regarding my BB CSR Chase Pay purchase that coded as 1x.

Hello Calypso,

We appreciate you contacting us about the reward points
for the Purchase at Best Buy on your account and are here
to assist you.

Calypso, we understand that your purchases at Best Buy for
$300.00 on January 19, 2018 should earn you a total of 10
reward points. (The bonus points earned is in addition to
the 1 point you earn on all purchases other than travel
and dining for a total of 10 points). Please know that
bonus points will post to your account within a week of
the transaction posting, and will appear on your monthly
credit card billing statement and be available for use
within 1-2 billing cycles.

We appreciate the opportunity to help you and value our
relationship with you. Thank you for choosing Chase.

I have been lurking for a while...
I rec'd a similar message when I asked why I didn't receive the 3000 pts from this past Saturday (1/21)

let me look into this for you. As per the
offer terms and conditions, you will receive bonus points
to your account within a week of the transaction posting.
If you do not see the bonus as per this timeframe, please
reply to this email and we will take appropriate actions.

I didn't reference that I used the CSP the same day as the CSR and have already rec'd the bonus points on that transaction. I guess I'm back to waiting???

In the terms it says it has to be an in store purchase. So you can reload but just need to do it in person. At least that’s my understanding.

Not sure what you mean by the page. Here is the post from @vanjust14. I just copied what she did and mine went through plastiq also. Still waiting for my bank to receive it.
Hey everyone, I promised I'd come back with an UPDATE on paying my mortgage to Provident Funding with PLastiq:

I did get it to work by changing the address to the following: ATTN Cashier, PO Box 513738, Provident, LOS ANGELES, CA 90051.

They received my payment just fine and it did code at 3x. I had to take "Provident" out of the recipient name. When I called Provident to ask where I should send a check, they told me the first line should read Attn: Cashier. I used that as the recipient name in Plastiq and it worked!

Question: I have never used UR to book a flight. I’ve always been lucky enough to find saver awards on United for our international travel. We are going to Peru this summer, and right now I’m only finding standard awards on United for flights that I’m willing to take (i.e. there are saver awards that would get us there, but too much total elapsed time or going through airports I don’t want to fly through, etc.). I have enough points/miles to book the standard awards but am playing a bit of chicken to see if any savers on the flights I want (there are several that would work) pop up. If I end up caving and doing standard awards, I would actually use fewer points/miles by booking with UR on the Chase portal instead of using United miles (just over 90,000 UR per person vs. 100,000 United miles). My question is what happens if I book using UR and then see a saver pop up on United? Can I cancel my UR bookkng and get my points back or am I stuck with what I booked?

Also wanted to chime in as a DP that I got the Starbucks offer on my personal Amex platinum. Thanks from me also to the PP who calculated the amount to purchase to max out the discount. I’ll be reloading my Starbucks card at a Starbucks to take advantage.

I was told each airline has their own cancellation policy. When I called and asked ur booking about a flight to HI with United I was told I had 24 hours to cancel. After that no refunds.

@Calfan FWIW they are absolute sticklers for 24 hours. (Mainly because the airlines are sticklers & won't give Chase back the money after 24 hours so I can't really blame Chase.)

I just got the email for the Chase Pay Shop Rite offer for my CSP. Silly question but does that work for Disney gift cards? I was planning on doing the $300 at Best Buy for 10x bonus points, so now can I also get $400 at Shop Rite with 10x bonus points also?

Ok guys, I need some advice - or maybe talked down from a ledge.

I'm seriously considering the Spirit card. Help me.

Here's why: Aerosmith (favorite band) is playing a headline spot at New Orleans Jazz Fest in May. I want to go. Flights from my part of the world are astronomical. I'm not paying $800 oop for 2 RTs and I'm not spending 90k Delta miles each way, either.

I've never flown Spirit but I was studying their award chart. It's only 2,500 miles each way in zone 1, which is what I am... you can get their credit card with 15k miles after first purchase. It's BOA, so a different issuer than most of us use here. On the signup, I'd get enough points for me and hubby to fly to see Aerosmith over the weekend.

I presented this idea to him and he didn't flip out. He actually said, "You gotta grab deals when you can. Who cares, it's a 2 hour flight."

I would pack a tiny bag and shove under the seat. We're literally talking about 2 nights here.

Am I losing my mind? The other option is to drive and it's 13 hours. We'll do that if necessary I guess.
