Also, is there any easy way (if you haven't kept good records) to see where you are with the 5/24 rule?
I don't understand what you mean. Please explain![]()
There are 3 credit bureaus in the US. Each Creditor(aka Chase) would pull from one of them, not all. Therefore, your 5/24 is based off of that report. Usually when one reports the others will also receive the info, but from what i can tell, it doesnt. so 5/24 is based of one report. Unfortunately, Chase pulls from experian, which credit karma only shows equifax and Transunion. Then it comes to the states, certain states will pull a certain report for some reason. I know in cali, Chase will pull for experian... in another state, it could pull from another credit bureau. highly ymmv. At least, thats is what i believe works.
Oh, ok, I see what you are saying. I looked at my credit karma report and I did notice that a card I opened in the last 24 mos was missing off their list. I couldn't figure out why. And the CSR, which I just opened a week ago, was not showing either but maybe it is still too new. I guess I need to get a copy of the Experian report and then I'd have everything.
Thanks for your help.
I wasn't approved instantly for CSRNot happy about that. ANy idea how long they take to review an application?
Got my notice from UPS My Choice that my card is scheduled for delivery today. WOW! That was fast. I just applied and was approved on Sunday afternoon!! Are they back to sending out the metal cards or still plastic? Not that it really matters, but just curious. I'm all set to hit my minimum spend and get those bonus miles credited.![]()
Call recon ASAP. Also, the nicer you are (without sounding fake) to the recon agents the higher likelihood they'll push an approval recommendation up the ladder.I wasn't approved instantly for CSRNot happy about that. ANy idea how long they take to review an application?

I could use some advice. Normally I do not carry a credit card balance but some medical bills came up and now I have a balance on my SW CC of about $3200. My interest rate is 16% and I'm paying it down aggressively. I don't know if its worth it to transfer the balance to another card or not. We love SW and fly them at least once a year, but I'm also wondering if there is a better and more flexible reward card out there. Or I'm also considering cancelling my SW card and waiting until I can sign up again to get the 50k bonus.
I guess my question is, is it worth it to transfer my balance?
Checking Credit Karma is a really good idea. My score was nice and high but I discovered that the limit on a card I got from my CU and never use had been raised from $2k to $25k! That doesn't look good when applying for new cards.

The SW CC is a Chase card though and I thought you couldn't do a balance transfer from one Chase to another? Or am I understanding that incorrectly?
