Yes BJ’s counts. (Hello discounted Disney Gift cards!). Another option to use up the bonus category is Costco online. You can’t use Discover in store but online you can. Get on Costco online and you can buy whatever with Discover or if nothing else get the Costco gift cards. They actually have a few discounted restaurant gift cards on Costco online you might want to look at too.

Cancelling cards....I cancel them all the time and it hasn't seemed to affect our credit. The only two I won't cancel are my two oldest, which are around 25 and 15 years old. I cancel anything with an annual fee if we're not getting enough benefits out of it to make up for the fee.

Right now, the only cards we have with fees are an Amex Blue Cash Preferred (which I'm closing soon), an IHG each (keeping indefinitely), one Alaska airlines (closing before the fee is due again), a Hilton card (I'll be downgrading that one before the fee hits again), and a Bofa Premium (which I'll be cancelling when the fee comes up also). Oh, and the business Hilton that I just opened. I'll be closing that one.

Will the SPG Plat Biz show up on my Amex (Plat) online account site or is personal and business separate like Chase? My SPG was auto approved and I confirmed it on the site that @SouthFayetteFan provided. I don't expect a shipping notice for a few more days. I was approved 3/4 so a little behind the 3/1 approval group just thought it would show up on my Amex site or I would have received another email. Feels like SPG is giving me the silent treatment, looking for a little fanfare or something.

So I’ve recently discovered Orbucks and am just curious if any of you have used them. My question is- when I book travel through orbitz am I able to earn points and orbucks? For instance, if I booked a Starwood hotel through orbitz on my SPG Amex, would I get orbucks plus still earn 2x points because it’s a Starwood hotel? Or if I book a vacation on Orbitz using my Chase Sapphire, would I still get 3x points plus orbucks?

Yes, it's how I keep my bits and bobs in various programs alive. For work I could never keep to a single airline so I have randomness that I hate to lose since I didn't have to pay for it!

I got 2 emails right at the same time, one that said they received the application and the one that said I was approved, here setup your online account. I chose to create a separate account but I think it would have allowed me to login to my existing one. When I clicked the link in the email it took me to a page that had my application ID prefilled in and that let me setup the account without having the card. Not sure how you get to that sign in page without it.

Edit: I should play first then answer. If you didn't get another email with a Setup button you can try using this URL and replace the XXXXX with your "Ref" number if you have it. Mine ended in USD so it wants all the number and letters listed

Awesome thank you! So BJ's seems a little different, my last order with them was $2k in Disney GC's. This time I was limited to 3-$100 Disney GC's.? If I can spend the rest of the 1200 at BJ's I will do that, its just a pita watching out for and keeping track of the deliveries. I do really like Costco but I let my membership expire when I move to MI as the closest one is an hour away. I would not mind joining again, do they offer free shipping with membership, it would come in handy in HI next Feb also. Do you know of any discounts for the membership? I had one through my old company but I don't think my new company has an affiliation with them.

Dang you miss a lot when you actually have to do work at work, haha. Actually had my annual review that took an hour at the end of the day and then I tried to catch up while wandering around Target but that defeats the purpose of cruising the aisles for clearance deals.

I was bummed to come home to cardholder agreement stuff from Amex and not the actual card so still waiting for my Delta Biz from 3/1 but it's my first Amex so I kind of expected it to take a week or more.

SPG Biz was my 3rd Amex. Still took 10 days and that darn card agreement came first as a tease.

If not I edited my post with the URL it gave me to setup the account. If you've got the first one with your Ref number you can give the URL a go if you didn't get the one with your own button.

I got an immediate acceptance on the webpage, then an email saying they received my application. I later received some welcome emails but couldn’t log in and add my SPG Biz until I had the card. It asked for Card number. And I was able to add the Biz Card to same account as my 2 personal cards.

I had to make a separate login for Amex Biz, admittedly I didn’t dig deep to see if I could merge it with my personal login (this was my first Amex biz card).

totally possible. I was a little giddy and planning on creating a new account anyway so the actual sign up is a bit of a blur. I don't recall much after the first page

Nope, new SPG Biz 2 weeks ago. Logged into personal account and added Biz card.

Well that’s annoying, I think I had the same option but it didn’t work when I tried. Maybe I just typed my password in wrong or something. Figures!
