I love credit cards so much!

I'm looking for some advice on a cash back card. I am heading to Disney for a long weekend in 3 weeks and I would like to get a cash back card to help erase some of the costs for tickets and meals. I have UR points and I was planning to take a stmt credit but I think I could make better use of them on a future trip. I am currently 5/24 all in the past year. SW 4/17, CSP 4/17, SW 6/17, CIP 9/17, Marriott 11/17, Barclay Aviator 11/17.
I was considering CO Venture, BOA Premium Rewards or Barclay Arrival Plus. I just thought I would ask here first.
I assume those are both SW personal cards?

ETA: Meant to quote @gottalovepluto last reply to me before this & can’t figure out how to add the quote now!

Ah, okay. I may apply for it as a new card then at some point. Thanks for the info!

Getting kind of late in the day for this but just buy a $500 in store at bestbuy using Apple/chase pay. I bought one there yesterday
( but I used gift cards)
I ended up get $100 at cvs with my discover card as I remembered they had sent me an offer for 10% back up to $100 in purchases at cvs. Got the other $400 at acme with Apple Pay on my freedom. Better than nothing

3 weeks?! Yikes, leave yourself more planning time next time if you can, not possible on last minute trips I know. Barclaycard Arrival+ is my vote but if they put you through security review you might not get the card before your trip so it would be pointless. I got put in security review when I did arrival+, which was hilarious because I was currently holding their Aviator. They say there is a 6 card rule with the Arrival+ so if you want this bonus I'd get a biz card right now that won't show on your credit report so you can still get the Arrival+ after your trip in prep for your next trip.

No experience with BoA cards so can't help there.

CO Venture is very hard to get approved for. I and many in Reddit and DoC were denied but we do have at least one, maybe a couple people here, who got approved. No one has been able to compile data on why C1 denies vs approves.

I want to say Marriott Biz but I cannot in good conscious recommend it because you have already hit Chase VERY hard at 5 cards in the last 10 months. As such I would definitely stay away from anymore Chase cards right now. Have you looked at current Amex Biz cards? Those won't show on your credit report beyond the HP so you'd still be eligible for the Arrival+. The only one I know is SPG Biz & while the points can be converted to Marriott points and visa versa at 1 SPG = 3 Marriott, it's not gonna help a cash back goal. But there is a large variety of Amex Biz cards that can be found here: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/business/business-credit-cards make sure to research so you know if its the best bonus since amex is once in a lifetime bonuses.

If I were you I'd pick your card asap. It can take a couple weeks to get a new credit card (unless you get stuck in Barclay's security review which is it's own stupid extra week of processing on top of the couple weeks to process the card and mail it out) between processing and mailing time.

Sorry, yes they are the SW Plus and SW Premier cards.
Well it looks like it's time to embrace going way over 5/24 then lol.

I think any of the cards you mention are decent choices. I'd look at the return on each signup bonus (combined with what min spend amount you are comfortable with) and go with it. I have experience with Arrival+ and found it to be easy to redeem. I haven't used the other cards.

I don't think there are too many here with us bank cards but just in case:

Introducing US Bank Real Time Mobile Rewards, with 1.5cpp on travel redemptions for Altitude Reserve and Visa FlexPerks cards without having to book through us bank's travel portal !!!. FYI, there is a min purchase of $250 for car rentals and $500 for lodging (Disney Resorts is specifically mentioned as eligible). I got 500 points for signing up, it's just $5-$7.50 I guess but I'll take it! DoC's write up: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/u-s-...t-travel-purchases-no-need-use-travel-portal/

I have the arrival plus. I got it when the signup offer was 50k. I redeemed my first reward recently after buying DL tix through lmtclub. The purchase has to code as travel so if you charged your meals to your room, you could use the credit against those.

Agree with @gottalovepluto ,you need to apply soon or else you may not get your card before you leave.

Thanks. DS's band is marching on Main Street. I wasn't sure if either or both of my other kids were going with me on this trip until this week so I didn't book anything that was not fully refundable. Flights are SW points and hotel was booked with the Disney Visa promo a few months ago. I was waiting for DD to get approval from her instructors.
I did hit Chase pretty hard last year. When I found this thread last spring I was just working on some SW miles for a wedding and for this trip to watch the band. Then I added UR points to cover the rest of the trip. Then I realized the bigger opportunities and took a trip to Italy while DD was studying there.
I was planning to focus on business cards like SPG and maybe an AA this year, then I had sticker shock on the price of a 3 day ticket and thought about adding a cash back card. Future goals include AA miles, maybe a weekend at Universal Studios to see HP at Christmas and hopefully a trip to France during another study abroad term. Maybe I should stick to plan and try for a cash back card before US Christmas weekend.

It seems like when I applied for CFU it said I could get points for adding an authorized user which I didn't do during that time because it was easier to skip it to do later. I got an email about adding one but it didn't mention extra points and when I look at the benefits it only mentions earning points by someone else using the card. Did I goof and miss out on the points because I didn't add it during the initial process? I thought I'd be able to do it at any time.

Called in and got DH's CIP expedited today! We have about $150 left to spend on the Marriott biz and then will start the CIP. Once we get through CIP, I will probably apply for CSR for DH. I'm planning to get my own CIP too, but that would put me at 4/12. My CSP will drop off in September this year, so I'm thinking I will PC that to a CFU and then wait to apply for my own CIP in October. That will be good timing for us anyways with the holidays coming up.

From my reading of the fine print on the current offer you're fine, just need to do it and get a purchase on the card in during the first 3 months of having it. (Heck, I had a similar offer on my CSP and they gave me the bonus points before I even got the au card in the mail!)

We just came back from Zion and parts of the Grand Staircase Escalante. I think you need to use the Arrival Plus or Venture card to erase the hotel charges.

I'll keep those in mind for after I finish with Chase. I would love to go back and explore Escalante more. Its HUGE! My favorite in Utah was Capitol Reef Nat Park - was surprised I enjoyed it more than Bryce/Zion.

We did HP at Christmas this past Christmas while we have annual passes and it was AMAZING! The show on the Hogwarts is awesome. Definitely worth seeing. We heading back in 2 weeks for the weekend for a surprise trip to celebrate DS’s 11th birthday.

Thank you! I didn't think to look at the sign up offer, duh. I looked at everything but :)

ETA - I'm doing it with my middle name so once I use it once and get the points I can cancel it right? There wouldn't be a reason to keep it?

Does anyone know... if DVC Rental Store codes as travel by chance? Would love to use my Arrival points to wipe out this charge if possible. Securing a reservation tomorrow.
