Any gurus want to chime in? I got targeted for the 50% off Starwoods points. So I *could* get 30k pts for $525 (which would be $525 I can put on my CSR, LOL).....

We have nothing solid planned yet, but I keep saying I'm using my 100,000 pts to take us to Hawaii and our starwoods (at like 50K right now) to get the hotels. I'm just trying to decide if buying them makes sense. The hotels we redeem at are normally 10-12k a night. (For example Chicago). So 30k would get us say 3 nights....that's $175/night....not a great deal on that. But if I transfer them to miles, that equals like 35k miles (if I'm reading it right). Would that work out to be worth the $525 spend?

I was targeted too, but only 35 percent discount. When I did the math, it wasn't that much of a discount.

i need to book 2 rt tickets from pdx to lih (hawaii!) july 2017. i have my chase 100,000 points. i could book threw chase ur site. it would pretty much use up all my points. is there a better way, and what do i need to read to learn how. i've heard british airways and korean. i'm getting confused looking at them. for british i'm supposed to check AA for award availablity? for korean i'm supposed to check Alaska for Delta availablity. how do you know how many points they are going to take? hoping an expert or two can teach me this.

ive read that the best redemption to hawaii is to use Korean Airlines's skypass... i think its 25k for rt. You basically find the flight u want on any skyteam partners(aka delta/alaska), then u call korean airline to make that reward booking.

im not sure if anything has changed recently though... here a link --> http://thepointsguy.com/2016/06/how-to-book-award-flights-with-korean-air-skypass/

edit: oops, u did say the same thing... just read the link then... haha

Checked my account today and we got our 100K reward points credited (plus some for what we've already been using it for). Just decided this week to take a trip out to Disneyland in May to run the Tinkerbell Pixie Dust Challenge, so we'll be using those points to cover a substantial portion of that trip. YAY!

Congratulations to those they got their 100K UR points! I think it will take me almost the full 3 months to make the $4K spend since I'm really trying to do it with our normal, regular spending. But I did transfer the bulk of my Chase Freedom UR points to my CSR UR account. I used the Chase portal to book two rooms at a hotel near the airport the night before we fly to WDW in January at a substantial savings. Cost me 7544 in points for each room, compared to booking directly with the hotel for $114 per room with tax. Originally I had planned to downgrade my CSR to a Freedom Unlimited at the end of the first year, but I'm leaning more towards keeping it. I have an Alaska Airlines Visa with a $75 annual fee and a AAdvantage MC with a $95 fee that I rarely use anymore. If I close or change those to no fee cards, the savings will more than cover the CSR AF after I deduct the $300 travel credit.

Annual fee posted. For those who got the 100k, please confirm the travel credit and global bal entry fee counts towards the 4K spend...

AFAIK, the travel credit didn't count. I already had Global Entry, so I'm not sure about that, but I wouldn't think it would count either.

EDIT: I just assumed they wouldn't count because I received an immediate credit back to my account after booking an Air BnB, but I'm reading that maybe they do count after all. It's hard to say because I spent closer to 5K, so I can't be sure when the bonus was triggered.

I also assumed they didn't count, but I'm not positive since I also spent well in excess of the required 4K. I didn't do Global entry.

Question regarding booking hotel using the UR portal. If I book a hotel there, do I still have the same cancellation options? I assume so and that if I cancel through the portal the points are just credited back? I have a hotel in mind for our trip in May, but it could be subject to change if a better option were to become available. Right now if I were to book through Expedia, I can cancel up until 1 day before the reservation with no penalty.

People who are interested in the Ink+, i would suggest applying now, or before nov 14th as it will go away.

I'm nervous about applying for it because the only thing that qualifies me as a SBO is eBay. I know everyone does it, but still...

just apply, if they said no, then thats it... you never know! haha. I applied thinking i might not get it because i dont actually have a legit legit business, but it kinda is a legit business... haha, if that makes sense.

I don't want to lie though, and if I put my true income from my "business" there's no way I'd be approved. I don't know if I want to potentially waste the hard pull.

do i want the barclay arrival + card? $50,000 bonus miles (points). 5% of miles back when redemed for travel. 2X miles on all purchases. $89 annual fee waved 1st year.
got a preselected mailer for it. thinking.....

Ok to be safe I'll spend $4500.. lol

When do the points hit my account?I have the CSP and I hit the spend requirements a few weeks ago and so far my points have not changed at all.

Thank you! I paid it a few days ago and it shows a zero balance. Still the same amount of points as before. Any thoughts?
