I love credit cards so much!

Does anyone know what the amount of credit Chase will extend in relation to your income? After applying for the CSR we got a letter stating "As we discussed.... blah blah blah" you agreed to decrease your limit on Disney visa in order to start new credit line of $10k. I was fine with the decrease, we never use that card, but I thought it weird they mentioned "as we discussed" because we never had any contact at all. Applied online and saw it on our Chase portal 2 days later. Anyway, I would really like to apply for the 2 SW cards, but worried that since they had to decrease a CL in order to start a new card, that they may not approve us for 2 cards at the same time.

We currently have 4 cards with them, Disney (old), Freedom(old), CSP(4/16) and CSR(11/16).

When I applied for DH and my CSRs, I included each of us as AUs. Well I totally missed the $75 annual fee that would charged for an AU since none of our other credit cards have AU fees. I called yesterday and removed the AU and they are refunding the $75 on each account since it had been less than 30 days. So glad I inquired!

My recon agent acknowledged the rule when I contacted them about my CSR application. I am an AU on my husband's cards and I just told them that is only for emergency purposes if something were to happen and they removed them from consideration and re-evaluated and approved my application.

That's interesting, thanks. I use my AU CSP card all the time, and unfortunately that's the one I would want them to overlook for 5/24. I wouldn't if I had my own CSR though!

My dh was at 3/24 and an AU on 2 of my cards. He was denied, called recon 2 times and they denied the 5/24 rule...would never approve him for the CSR.
this was the case with me too..... I wonder about removing yourself as an AU to get below 5/24..... there's got to be some data points on this

Nerdwallet is fantastic for learning the ins and outs of credit cards and also really helps you pick the best card(s) based on where you currently spend and where you'd like rewards for

Just an FYI for those that just got the CSR. I just looked through the benefits and called Chase. You are able to price match items on sale on Black Friday as long as it meets all the requirements. (listed in the benefit book). Has to be exact item within 90 days. Need copy of ad showing everything. I have some items I was waiting on for Black Friday and I may get them now and then price match. Would like to do that with a TV but I think usually they use different SKU #'s on Black Friday for some of those. Anyone ever use this benefit?

most of the consensus i have read is that Chase is a bit stingy with it. There is a clause that says that if the item is considered a "Limited Sales" you cant price match it. Most people say the best card to do this price match stuff would be Discover, followed by citi. YMMV though.

your right about TV though. Most Black Friday TVs ive seen different, they are cheaper, but when compared to a regular model, it lacks a lot more ports than usual.

Question about purchasing DELTA through the Chase portal:

Is it refundable should I need to cancel the trip?

(I know this is not the best way to use points. But it is my most economical option right now. The trip is not a definite so just want to make sure I can get the points back if I need to cancel.)

Is the Ink+ confirmed to be going away? I'm working on hitting the $4k on the CSR right now. If you ask my husband I'm doing too good of a job trying to hit it. LOL I have a legit business (Photography, Tax ID number, the whole 9 yards). So I'm not worried I can't get it. But I'm wondering if you could only do one, would you do the Ink+ or have my husband get the CSR?

From what I have read, it seems really hard to be removed as an AU. At least on a credit report.

I think this must vary by agent. My dh told the one he spoke to that he has never even used my cards that he is an AU for but she didn't seem swayed.

depends on your spendings. I believe Ink+ goes away on the 14th. Ink Cash is suppose to still be there with the 5x category though. You just would need a CSR/CSP to transfer.
i gain a lot more UR pts with Ink+ than my CSR will ever do. but the CSR 100k bonus is a huge plus.

I am pretty sure that using UR points to purchase through the Chase rewards portal is the same as buying with cash, which means that the tickets are not refundable unless you specifically buy refundable tickets.

So I just saved 31% on disney GC at Sams club. No, they weren't included in the one day sale. :( but, I used my newly acquired Chase Freedom. Here's the breakdown:

$750 (5 $150 packs) GC
$719.90 (4% off)
-$15 GC (renewing membership)
$704.90
-5% for quarterly awards
-$150 Statement credit(for spending $500 in first 3 months)
Total spent after statement credit hits: $519.66 (31% savings)

My aunt is wanting to apply for the CSR. She is at 0/24 so she should get it easily. Does anyone know if she would be able to get the $300 travel credit for this year and next, or are we too late in the year and the bill would post next year?

I can't find the details on the credit but I thought I read that the one for this year had to be spent no later than the last bill that only includes 2016 spending. If that's correct I would have to spend mine by 12/7. I'm on my phone but am thinking it came in the paperwork. Regardless she should have time to spend it if she applies immediately.

Does the entire $4,000 need to be spent to get the credit? I don't remember, but I was going to do the rest of our spend on our trip in mid-December. I've got about $800
Left to reach the $4K spend, I *could* do it before our trip but don't really want to

Thanks. I guess I have to wait until I know for sure we are going and hope the rates don't go up too much.
