But the Ink might go through? I am bummed about the CSR!Sorry but under the new rules no CSR for you, you already have a CSP so you'd be immediately denied.

Idk about that, hopefully others can chime inBut the Ink might go through? I am bummed about the CSR!
Can someone point me in the right direction before I continue with my plans.
Disney European Cruise in May 2019, finger crossed they keep May sailings in Europe. Plan is to fly United, we would need at least 240,000 miles to fly economy round trip. Would like to fly economy there and business return, we would need 400,000.
DH has 115,000 UR.
I have 70,000 United miles.
Plan is to continue getting UR bonus and also the MPE for DH.
Would DH & I be able to combine United miles? If not we would just need to book separate flights.
I got my CSR last Sept or Oct and PC to the FU a couple of weeks ago. I even got a $75 credit (I'm guessing for a partial AF rebate). Best card I never kept ever...2 $300 travel credits, $100 GE credit and $75 rebate plus 100,000 UR. No wonder Chase is cracking down!
Did you click all the way through to see final total? When I did that, it showed $127/night with a "free" rental car and half-board, but when you clicked through, there were $127 in Orbitz taxes. I guess I was hoping the DP would truly be "free"-- haha.
I used to be quite a frequent traveler on United, but it's been a few years since I've done any award travel so I can't help with the nuances of all the recent changes. I will note that you can only combine miles belonging to the same person, and there is a hefty fee for transferring miles to another MP member -- something like 1.5 cents per mile and a flat $30? or $35? fee. The redemption value of the miles never made sense to pay such a fee. (Especially when you can book award travel for someone else.)
What happens to points that you have 'pending' which would post on your next statement? Since we just traveled to TX recently, I have a lot of travel expenses that I want to make sure I get the 3x coding for. Will I lose that if I move the points to my CSP?
You made out great on the CSR!
And for our dates, Pop is currently $67 night (no half board and before taxes). That rate and paying OOP for meals is a MUCH better deal
Especially when you can book award travel for someone else.
That's good to know. Thanks. Could I transfer UR points from DH's account to my United account?
Yep! And no. You applied prior to the end of May (right?) so your travel credit cycles at the close of your Dec stmt each year.
Caveat: Keeping it until Dec really depends on when you applied, I screwed up assuming you applied after Dec (I'm tired- sorry). If you already double dipped PC ASAP and you might get a pro-rated refund of the AF...
After reading about all the changes I just moved all my points from my Freedom/FU to my CSP. Bummer that I can't get the CSR now. I guess the Marriott card will be next - my stay in Boston will be at a Marriott. I will be booking my trip today for the Boston Marathon next April using my 60,000 bonus SW points - my husband is starting to realize the benefits of me being crazy about the credit cards
. I only started this hobby last year and got us 7 free plane tickets for our trips next year.
Now I need to see if I can get that Chase Pay bonus today with gift cards that I can use at Sams.
I thought that you could not PC a card until the one year anniversary of opening it? Is that not true? If not, once I get my bonus points, and move them to my CSR, the CSP is being PCed ASAP, and my wife's CSR will PCed as soon as her second travel credit is due.
You can only transfer UR points to your United account or an authorized user's account. Alternatively, if you have a UR earning card, DH could transfer his UR points to your UR account, then you can transfer the UR points to your United account.

(applies to chase only) the idea is that you cannot go from a AF card to a non AF card of another brand. Therefore, u can drop it to the non AF version(the Sapphire) then to a freedom card.
But this is true only for the first year? I thought I had read that the CSP could be directly PCed to a Freedom - is that after the first year? Or just a totally YMMV thing? Thanks to the Fairmont being turned into a CSP, and the CSP I applied for directly, I now have two CSPs I need to PC to something. Is Freedom my only choice? I don't want to cancel because I want to keep the CL - although I guess I could transfer the CLs to the CSR.
