It really is so dangerous! I had already done Hotwire and had it all figured out but had no idea there were Disney resorts on Priceline as well. I should have figured that but not sure why I didn't. Anyways, it's so fun (and addicting...?) to search dates and see what comes up :) I'm even getting Disney resorts for Spring Break week when dh & I will be in Orlando for a conference. As soon as my dh gives me the 'thumbs up', I'm so excited to book something!
I’ve been on the thread a bit but am still struggling to know which ones are Disney resorts and how to tell which resort they are. Seems like a lot of people are getting akl for a deluxe resort and we wouldn’t want to stay there

Yup! AKL is the most common deluxe I see, and while we would consider a split stay there with our kids, dh & I do not want to stay there when it is just he & I in March. When I go to book, I'll probably go with the moderate choice to make sure we avoid AKL.

Is anyone able to get the point pricing to come up on Marriott? I was trying to check pricing to use points and everything comes up unavailable but I can see cash pricing. This is when I search various dates and locations.

I’ve been having the same problem with the SPG and Marriott apps, but I’ve been able to see points pricing on the website.

Oh no! My dh cannot give me the 100% go ahead to book for end of march so I've been sitting and waiting. Now, no Disney resorts are showing up on Hotwire or Priceline :( So sad. I was fine with a moderate and now we will probably end up offsite.

It does! In the early part of my looking, CR, GF and BWV were coming up on Priceline. Now, nothing. If we aren't 100% then I get that we cannot book, but I'm disappointed know what could have been :(
I was looking for fun in February but geez does Disney have enough events going on in that month? So many dance/cheer events plus president’s day and the half marathon. It’s crazy.

Yeah, bummer, think that may be why nothing is showing for your dates. Our dates are during spring break so I didn't expect much but then when good options showed up, I was so excited. But those have been pulled and I got nothing now :(

I'm sorry. That must be so frustrating. It's happened to me (not Hotwire or Priceline, but in the past we've waited too long and found no availability for our dates at DL and few options at WDW). I hope something opens up when you are ready to book.

Just a little update on family: my granddaughter was released yesterday and will wear a brace/neck collar for approximately 3 months. She's not letting that get in the way of playing with her sister and enjoying being at her grandfathers house.

Both parents are still in hospital. Son in law is in a lot of pain but has already started rehab. Daughter had a smaller surgery yesterday to stabilize her leg with exterior rods pending another surgery once the swelling subsides. The bones had started to shift and that was not good. Daughter is also moving in the room via walker and trying to make progress. She was able to take a wheelchair taxi(my description) to her husband's room yesterday evening to see him for the first time since the accident.

Needless to say they are getting legal help as the bills will mount to the hundreds of thousands, although they do have great insurance coverage, there may not be enough, but time will tell.

Credit card related: And to keep this on topic, she texted me her info to use her uber eats Plat credit of $35. She has 2 credits, since she has 2 Plat cards, having just recently gotten the regular one. The $35 expires end of the month. So, I'm having lunch delivered.

Today is her 40th birthday. Tomorrow is the 3 year old's 3rd birthday.

@calypso726 - the pictures are fabulous! Best thing in my day yesterday! @Lain and anyone else that I may have missed, thank you for the kind thoughts. We will all get through this.

I was very hesitant at first too since we’ve always stayed at Disney hotels, but I felt it’s closer to Epcot and MK than the all stars, old key west and Saratoga springs.

Bonnett Creek was the first timeshare i purchased. We have stayed there at least 7-8 times. I can understand a level of concern with being offsite until you have done it. There is an very active Bonnett Creek thread. https://www.disboards.com/threads/the-we-loooooove-bonnet-creek-thread-part-4.3366139/

With Uber and now possibly the Disney Minnie Vans doing transportation, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
The option of 2 bedrooms a full living room and kitchen make it a nice choice.
I have found good deals at Bonnet Creek on EBay.

We just stayed there 12/18-12/24 in a 2BR and loved it...would definitely book again with our URs or discounted cash stay....
We own DVC...but with my son living in Orlando now we are going through thoses points rapidly and saving them for onsite stays when my daughter and husband come with us.
Next visit in March we booked Marriott Royal Palms...since WBC was a lot more URs for that trip....if it goes down we will move...but I’m also looking forward to exploring the Marriott as well.

That thread is dangerous. I already got sucked in and started planning a weekend Food and Wine trip for October. DH is going to murder me.
:rotfl2: Did you find a deal? I haven't seen any worth jumping on for any of my dates, but others get super lucky. I probably should've done the Allstars for $46/night but now it is gone. I am taking my mom this trip and she hasn't been since DD19 was 5, so I wanted to splurge on something a bit more exciting than Allstars. I am hoping I can plan some short 2 night trips around whatever deals I can find on there while DD is at her DCP over the next 6 months. I did book Hotwire one time...2 years ago. Since then I have struck out.

Lol Dh just won $500 at our casino in the last three days and we both looked at each other and said,” Disney?” We both know we shouldn’t go and most likely won’t but it’s the first thing we think of. I’ve never done the Priceline deals but they make it so hard to not grab them when you see them.
You picked a good one. My DH would never in a million years suggest a disney trip. :sad2:

I’ve gotten a little spoiled with the Marriotts. We really love the Marriott Lakeshore Reserve and the uncrowded lazy river. I timed it once and it is about 20 min to HS. Since we do such short park days this is a nice option for us.
