My daughter, her husband and youngest (2 year old) grand daughter were admitted and will be in hospital for at least the next 2 days. Three year old will go home with Grandpa and (step) Grandma. But all that said, they are doing well with no internal injuries, just broken bones. Still no word on the mri results, but we are hoping that will be okay.

Thank you all for the good thoughts.

@MrPTato - sorry to hear of your Grandmother but loved the sentiments you shared.

Thanks for this. I didn't know about it. I just set up for my flights. I'm sure I'll still check at least once a week.

You're welcome! It is great. I make a habit of checking myself, but if there is a drop middle of the night or early am I see the email as soon as I get up and can hop on it. Sometimes I get the email after I've turned off the computer for the night, and this lets me know to hop back on. It is also interesting just for watching trends. I have discovered (thru air hint) that SW seems to bump up the flight cost the night before a sale so they can "drop" it for the sale.

I've been trying to distract myself by reading online today, when my phone is not beeping with texts.

This morning my daughter and family were in a pretty bad car accident in Colorado. They've all survived and no one is currently critical, but lots of broken bones. Both of the cars look totaled. My ex went to the scene and sent me the pics. Daughter called me before help came and there was barely a signal so it was pretty scary.

Youngest grand daughter just had a cat scan and they are getting ready to do an MRI of her C2 neck bone. She was on side of the car that was hit but of course she was in her car seat in the back. Older grand daughter has been released, but Mom, Dad and youngest are still in hospital. Dad is in surgery now and has multiple broken bones but is not critical. He was airlifted to the hospital and Mom and 2 daughters came by ambulance. Mom's ankle badly broken.

Yesterday it was pictures texted back and forth of everyone having a wonderful xmas with our Colorado family, and today is not so great but I'm thankful everyone survived and will recover.

The other driver also survived, and I'm happy for his family.
How scary for them and you. Happy to hear everyone is going to make it!

Is there someone staying with the 2 year old?

Well still catching up on page 3297 but figured I’d respond since I won’t get caught up till tomorrow hopefully

She has a seasonal job at Target. I told her tonight that if they offer to let her stay on, she needs to do so. Her sister works at Chick-Fil-A and they are 1000% awesome to work for, so if Target doesn't keep her, she needs to apply at CFA. She already pays part of her dance tuition and I had already told her she would paying for part of her pointe shoes. I had NO idea how short the shelf life would be (or just how expensive!!). I mean, we are talking about some fabric, satin, cardboard, elastic...nothing terribly expensive here...
All about dance is another good site. When I danced we tended to get fitted and then ordered online. One of the local stores would price match so that helped. Shoes lasted 3-20 weeks depending on how many hours we practiced. Performances/competitions we always had new shoes. There are portals for all about dance. I’m sure once she’s fitted you can search online

They put the two year old in the same room as my daughter. For their privacy I obviously can't post the picture, but they have her in a neck brace and on a monitor. They've soft casted my daughter and will do surgery on her tomorrow. Son in law was still in surgery for broken leg, rib, hand, left arm, and I think collar bone last I heard. We have family there as well as daughter's father, so all are being well cared for.

Edited to add: If it wasn't for such wonderful family and her wonderful father and step mother, I would be there by now. I can trust that all will be handled and will be here for them when they are brought back home.

I was all set to cut cable next month...then Verizon Fios had a special at Thanksgiving that reduced my monthly to $109 for internet, cable and landline plus they increased my internet speed significantly. Don't really watch anything other than sports, news sometimes and a few Netflix/Amazon shows, but sticking with fios will keep the family happy and I think it is a decent price.
That’s a great price! Ours hasn’t been that low in years

They do give you 6 months to spend the $10,000. So it is very doable for us. Maybe I should just go for this offer.

I was close to doing it but decided not to. Also doable for us, but then I would miss out on 5x categories on my Discover IT and CF until the MSR on the United is met. I don't like working on MSR especially not for that long.

It’s the Hulu live. With things like HGTV, TLC, NBC sports, etc

I see it mainly has all of the stations we watch, although I have been binging on Hallmark lately. I guess for our TVs without Internet, we would need some type of additional device? DH has been complaining about the $160 a month DirectTV for 2 HD boxes 4 non HD boxes. Heck, we don’t even have DVR. Off to do some research.

Your Chase IHG? I don't show any offers on my chase IHG. When I check in the app the only cards that show for rewards is my CSR, and my debit card on my bank account. How do I get my IHG to show?
Wait, your debit card has Chase offers? Where do they show? I have them on CF and Hyatt cards, not on Disney.

How terrible so far away from home and during the holidays. Glad they have family around them. Hope they have a speedy recovery. It sounds like getting home might be challenging.

Just got a call from my mother that my grandmother had just passed away. I am glad we were able to make the trek to NH on Christmas Eve to see her. My grandparents live right behind my parents, so after dinner, my bother and our DWs took my grandfather some food down to say hi and see how they both were. We walk in and he has the TV on a station playing Christmas music with the fireplace on the screen. Off on the side he had the little LED Christmas tree plugged in (pic attached). He went into their bedroom to make sure she was awake. We walked in and said hi, to which she just smiled and nodded. On their dresser was a beautiful bouquet of the prettiest roses I had ever seen, illuminated by the light on the dresser. He told us it was his final gift to her on Earth. He even set a small radio in the room so she could listen to Christmas music. The rest is history but the memories live on.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share it here, with my friends.

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

So sweet.
Sorry for your loss.

I like my Roku stick. Been using it for over a year with no issues. Actually prefer streaming on it over my smart tv.

My main issue with Hulu live is the dvr capacity is somewhat small. But I dvr everything and am too lazy to delete.

I bought a Roku Ultra but you could use a Fire stick or Roku stick which are cheaper. They use wireless internet. Once the Roku was set up I was able to add Hallmark channel to the Roku account
