We were all set to try the Priority Pass Select Lounge in Orlando on Fri evening on Concourse A but...SW did not have my TSA Pre✔️ on my boarding pass and since the lounge is in the "international" wing we would have had to clear security again and just didn't feel like the hassle of going through the line again. I did message SW since my known traveler # is on my SW account and I had no problems going to Orlando. Now I am going to have check my boarding pass more carefully in the future. Maybe next time....
well here's something even 'smarter'..... both DH and I have the PP thru our CSR cards..... and I LOST them!!! So we just returned from a trip...no PP lounges for us!!! I have no idea what I did with them...... UGGGGGGG I guess I will never know the luxury of an awesome lounge at an airport:charac2::rotfl:

on the WM/Chase pay offer..... (I just saw this) is it feasible to order wm gc's for the 10%? (It's an open offer, right, not targeted?) and then use for gc's at sams if needed? oh...and I'm looking and can't find.... do I need to do anything further to 'sign up' for this promo other than get the app?

I initially could not locate mine so I SM'd Chase and they sent a replacement. I ended up locating them in someplace they clearly should not have been. It took about a week to receive it.

Thanks- I'll give that a try, tho I'm not sure we'll use them at MCO,it would be nice to try just once! (I didn't even tell my DH what he was missing lol)

Yes This is allowed.
Cool. I wound up just going ahead and ordering the regular Walmart gift card(s) since that's where I do about 90% of my shopping anyway. Good to know gift cards can purchase gift cards at Sam's though. And regular Walmart gift cards would work there as well, right?

I'll be purchasing about $1,000 worth of Disney gift cards in the next few months for our trip. I'm hoping with all my might that Freedom's "Holiday" quarter will include Wholesale clubs again like it did last year. *fingers crossed*.

On a side note, that was my first time using Chase Pay. Worked like a charm!

But CSR has a plan for that! Twice(?) over a rolling 12 months you can charge a day pass for a PP lounge to your CSR, call Chase, explain you forgot/lost your PP & they'll issue a statement credit covering the daypass. (Do call the number on the back of your card to double confirm my details please.)

AAAHHHH I wish I had remembered that! oh well...... would have been a pleasant way to ride out the delays....

WM gc's do work at Sam's. I'm about to try my first order. Good to know yours went through fine. Reading the comments on DOC has me a bit nervous!

Def strange. Did u start out with a Business account? if not, you should have personal login and it should still work.

I started with personal cards but when I got the Ink+ a year or so ago I called so that card would be on the same login as my personal cards. (That was actually kind of a hassle to set up.) Some people on the doctor of credit Walmart/Chase Pay thread report having the same problem, although one person seems to have been able to call Chase and have Chase Pay linked to a personal card. I might call Chase next week and see if there's a way to get Chase Pay to work without setting up a separate login for the business card.

When I went to purchase the second gift card (since I had to split into a $200 and a $50), I got a message saying Chase Pay was currently unavailable and to return to the merchant to choose another payment method.

I just hit Chase Pay again and it worked.

I'm just getting onto all of this mobile pay stuff. I'm going to try Android Pay out this weekend, I think. I've got Walmart Pay through the Walmart app, and I've got Chase Pay. Oh, and the Scan & Go app for Sam's! I can't wait to try that the next time I'm in the store!

Technology. So much fun.

Just got approved for the AMEX SPG card. In my initial research on this card I read some language in the fine print that stated that the purchase of gift cards was not allowed toward the minimum spend for the sign-up bonus points. On the actual application page I did not see that language spelled out. Anyone have any experience with this? I am looking at buying some Disney GCs toward the minimum spend. Thanks.

Re: Walmart 10% thingy.

Will Sam's allow you to purchase Disney gift cards with Sam's gift cards? I'm thinking about getting a $150 Sam's e-gift card to then purchase a 3-pack of $50 Disney gift cards ($142.98), and then just a regular $100 Walmart gift card because I'm in that wretched store at least once a week (LOL).

i was able to buy T Mobile Gift cards with Walmart gift cards. It should work. (i did it online though)

i HEARD this will count against your travel credit. As for if your out of travel credit, i have no idea what happens then.

you should still have a personal login though. I also have a Personal login and a Personal/Business account login. I must have set up my Personal login up with chase pay, im not sure why haha.

I wouldn't because if you get flagged the consequences are too severe. It wasn't specifically stated in the terms and conditions? Doesn't matter, do you really want to fight with Amex in arbitration over their T&Cs, sure you might win but at what cost? I would keep the spending 100% legit, no gift cards when it comes to Amex and sign up bonuses.

Why am I so paranoid when I have no personal experience? Too many others have personal experiences in this area. They've nick named the division that monitors for suspicious activity RAT (rewards abuse team) and they are practically notorious in the churning community for shutting people down who get caught "manufactured spending" on Amex cards. Are Disney gift card purchases a violation? If they want it to be it is. The following is specific to the Delta Gold but apparently Anex is spreading these new terms throughout the Amex family: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amex-updates-terms-penalize-gaming-signup-bonus-system/ I would not want to risk having all my Amex cards shut down. (Heck, when they get real upset they claw back points you've earned in the past! Seriously, there was a person who got caught MSing and Amex went back, reviewed his previous amex accounts -closed accounts- determined he had been MSing back then and clawed back the new bonus he had just earned on his Amex platinum card- on which he hadn't MS'd!)

They never said told us they will deduct it from our travel credit. I suspect that whoever that happened to flew off the handle so to speak when they saw their remaining travel credit deducted by, lets call it $50, and never bothered to realize Chase issued $50 in a statement credit as well (IF they called to have the statement credit applied). So they charged $50 for the day pass, Chase TC auto-applied a $50 statement credit to their account and then Chase should manually issue a separate $50 credit to the card to cover the day pass when you call in. If customer service tries to say your travel credit covered the day pass HUCA that ridiculousness because it's wrong.

I'm curious how does AMEX know if you are purchasing gift cards? Like if you order from BJ's or something, a bunch of Disney cards, how do they know? Not trying to skirt any rules, just curious.
I have an AMEX minimum spend to complete and was considering some cards for part of the spend. Was also looking at Plastiq to pre-pay my dd's rent for several months, will that still work? I made sure to lower/remove the cash advance option.

Sometimes they do. Its called Level 2/Level 3 Data.
Plastiq i dont think is considered a gift card. I used plastiq to pay my health insurance with my SPG card to meet the minimums. Amex for my SPG did not have a cash advance option, they said i needed to activate it to be able to use cash advanced. but it does work!

edit: changed a link to another one

Ok thanks. Maybe I will just skip the gift card option and do Plastiq instead. Anyone know if there are any issues paying a Chase mortgage with Plastiq? That I could monitor better to make sure it was paid timely than my dd's rent to a small landlord.

you should be fine if you mix it with organic spendings... and not go massive on gift cards(ie $2000 worth of gift cards)

We are almost halfway to the $4000 already with actual spending already
