I love credit cards so much!

I have no real need for anything else at Walmart so I'm skipping the offer. (Already have Disney gift cards for next trip, will CSR the dining)
I really could use some extra savings for my unexpected Disneyland Halloween trip so I'm scraping a few dollars here and a few dollars there right now otherwise I probably would have skipped the offer as well to be honest.

Probably a silly question but for the CSR, working on my minimum spend. For stuff that gets reimbursed (like the $300 travel credit and the global entry $100), does that still count toward the $4000, or would I need to spend $4300 to hit it if $300 are travel charges (and another $100 if I do the global entry during the minimum spend period)? I hope that makes sense!

I'll go ahead and max out the Chase Pay offer on gift cards or something, probably for things that I would only earn 1-2pts per dollar on (SPG, UR, or Barclay, at this time). I figure, how often will I earn 10x UR points?

So far I bought an Uber gift card when they were 10% off. I estimated $100 is about what we'll spend on Uber on our trip. Just paying CSR with 3x points would get me 300 UR points... Buying the gift card for $90 got me 900 UR points and saved me $10 OOP.

ETA: Maybe I'll prepay our Netflix like @Jen and Ashwin :)

I'm considering applying for a Citi AA business card. But, I've never applied for a business card and I have a "business" (consisting of 3 sales on ebay this year...) and I really don't want to recon. From what I'm seeing it's easy to get a Citi Business approval with a "business" but I have some bone-head questions I'm worried about...
"Legal name of business" & "Name of business for card" ? Do I make up a legal name for my business? Do I use that as the name on the card or use my personal name?
"Tax ID" This is where I put my SSN?

With the Walmart offer, could you just buy Walmart GCs? We don't shop at Walmart, but do shop at Sam's quite a bit and that would cover about 2 months worth of expenses. I forgot, but can you use a WM GC at Sam's to buy Disney?

$400 is included in the balance. Only thing not included is the $450 AF.

it should work. This is my plan, to buy walmart GC and then buy whatever i need at Sam Club.

This Chase Pay thing has me perplexed. Just going through Walmart, the Chase Pay button isn't even available. When I just now went through the Chase UR page, I get the Chase Pay button but then I get the message Hang on-Chase Pay isn't available for you quite yet.

Do I need to do this some other way (not on a desktop computer)? Do I need to install something else?

@AmyAnne, I know you said you combined personal and business logins and that may be causing the problem. But when you were checking out at Walmart.com, did you click "More" where the payment info is? The Chase Pay option is hidden under there. Once you select Chase Pay as your payment method, I'd try logging in using my Chase personal account login/password.

Uh- guys, opinions: I did the Walmart offer on my CFU, no issues, got 10x when the charge posted. Did it for my CSR and CSP. My visa gift cards were delayed in shipment but I got notice today that they've shipped and will arrive tomorrow. I go into Chase to see if the charge finally posted and it's gone. Not pending, not posted, gone. Part of me is worried this is about to become a huge headache and the other part is like "chill, the charge was pending too long so it dropped off but will come back in the next day or so". Anyone else seen this sort of thing when a charge was pending for a long time?

I've had pending charges drop off and then reappear shortly as posted. It happens all the time on my CIP.

Walmart doesn't have Disney gift cards though, right?

Not online. I need to turn my money into Disney money or put it directly towards my trip so I took the activation fee hit and bought Visa gift cards. My first BJs order went through fine but above reports are that it might not be so easy next time. I'll report back on my future endeavors with turning them into Disney$$$ by way of Visa gift cards - BJs online.

I was just going to post @CoP Luv's suggestion. You could use this offer to buy Walmart gift cards to use in store where they do carry Disney gift cards and DPs say you can pay GC>GC, or if you have access to a Sam's Club then use those Walmart gift cards to buy Disney gift cards at a small discount.

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is the timeshare program. You can rent points from current members (either direct or through a broker) at about $13-$16 per point. How much a room costs in points depends on the resort, weekday vs. weekend, time of year and type of room. So for example, through a broker, you can get a standard studio room at Poly over peak Christmas time for $496 per night or during low season in January for $304 per night. The same room at rack rates direct from Disney would be $747 during Christmas or $507 in January.
We got a standard studio at the Grand Floridian for $272 per night (December 17-20). I think we were lucky to get in on the tail end of the discounted season before the holiday rates.

I like that the price you are quoted is the price you pay. No added taxes and resort fees and all of that. The rack room rates at Disney are already high, and when they tack on taxes and fees it gets downright disheartening.

This is what I did.... I don't shop @ Wal-Mart but spend a TON @ Sam's Club. I just don't know if the buying of Disney Gift Cards with a Wal-Mart Gift Card is allowed.

I still have a CSR and Chase Freedom that I could get the offer on, but I just don't know of anything else that I really need at this point. I am less enamored with the idea of buying Visa gift cards, since it will eat into the savings somewhat and logistically aren't as easy to use. If only more services had gift cards that I could use to prepay with, that would get me more likely to bite for another $500.

I can't remember, when does this Walmart offer end?

Yeah, I just took dates from the week of Christmas (Dec. 23-26) at current rack rate with no promotions for those estimates. And yes, I didn't even include the taxes and fees, so the rates would actually be much higher than that!

We are DVC members, so I don't even think about hotel costs at this point. My focus is all about traveling to Orlando, tickets and eating. We have 3 sets of non-expiring 7 day park hoppers that we bought at a discount over the past 2 years just sitting and waiting for our next trips. It is really nice to know that a huge portion of our future stays (hotel and tickets) is already covered!

We have a Costco membership, no Sams club. Good idea though.

Applied for & received CitiBusiness AA card for DH. Made up a name on the spot. We have a rental property we actually make no profit on, so I called it xxx Rentals.
Used DHs SS#. No recon, instant approval.
I will say we cancelled the card after 5 months. The website sucked for us. Despite hours on the phone with IT, we couldn't update or change alerts, didn't get email statements, issues logging on, etc. After I almost missed a payment since we didn't get a statement, I was done. DH called & cancelled. They offered 1k bonus miles for 6 months of spending 1k per month to stay. No thanks.

It's my first time for Halloween! I've been wanting to see it for years!
We did WDW last year. Food & Wine and Halloween
I was actually just looking at airfare to try a bday trip for DH in October. Not happening. Especially since I just spent $$ on Blackhawks Hockey tickets (allegedly for DH bday, although DS is the real fan)

If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, I'd suggest you subscribe (or change your existing subscription over) to the Netflix app for iOS so you can be billed through iTunes. Subscriptions to streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW that are made as "in app purchases" through their iOS apps are billed through iTunes. Netflix plans through the iOS app are the same price as if you subscribed with Netflix directly, but you can pay for your subscription using iTunes gift cards bought at a discount and loaded into your iTunes account.

iTunes gift cards seem to go on sale a lot more often than Netflix or Hulu gift cards. iTunes cards frequently sell for 10-20% off, and most commonly at 15% off through eBay/PayPal Digital Gifts (which earns 3x UR with CIP and 5x UR with Ink+/CIC) and Costco. Walmart.com has the $50 iTunes egift card on sale right now for $45 (10% off), which is a pretty good deal when you factor in the additional 10x UR from the Chase Pay promo and any shopping portal bonuses.

Off-topic cat update:
Loki had surgery to remove the mass in his chest yesterday. He came through like a champ, and the surgeon thinks she got it all! He's recovering at the animal hospital and will be home tomorrow to fully recuperate. It seems the old boy still has a couple more lives left.

To bring it back on topic, DH's new Amex BCP didn't come in time, so I put the 75% deposit on my new SPG. If the BCP comes before we have to pick him up, we'll put the balance on there. If not, it will all go on the SPG and I'll do a balance transfer to my Bank of America card for an extended 0% APR. The increased signup bonus I found for the BCP will cover the BT. All in all, I'm so very relieved that we've been able to come up with a plan to make the most of this unexpected expense. I'm trying not to be bummed out that I got my 25K Bonus SPG without knowing there was an incognito 30K link. I just saw that on Reddit. :badpc:

I also did this, and purchased discounted Disney gift cards at Sam's Club online. I received the 10x UR and my cards shipped out yesterday.
