I love credit cards so much!

If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, I'd suggest you subscribe (or change your existing subscription over) to the Netflix app for iOS so you can be billed through iTunes. Subscriptions to streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW that are made as "in app purchases" through their iOS apps are billed through iTunes. Netflix plans through the iOS app are the same price as if you subscribed with Netflix directly, but you can pay for your subscription using iTunes gift cards bought at a discount and loaded into your iTunes account.

iTunes gift cards seem to go on sale a lot more often than Netflix or Hulu gift cards. iTunes cards frequently sell for 10-20% off, and most commonly at 15% off through eBay/PayPal Digital Gifts (which earns 3x UR with CIP and 5x UR with Ink+/CIC) and Costco. Walmart.com has the $50 iTunes egift card on sale right now for $45 (10% off), which is a pretty good deal when you factor in the additional 10x UR from the Chase Pay promo and any shopping portal bonuses.

Though I own an iPhone (and a MacBook) and might consider this for a good discount, I have had such a terrible time with iTunes/Apple and generally hate their digital services. I don't buy much in the way of apps and we didn't like the Apple music streaming service either. Pretty much all of our media sits with Amazon (prime video, Disney Movies Anywhere on prime, prime music, prime photo, etc.). I find the customer service so much easier to contact and with much better responses through Amazon.

ETA: I miss the days when places like Best Buy and Walmart sold Kindle gift cards, which was essentially just generic Amazon credit.

When does the Walmart/Chase Pay bonus promotion end? None of the GCs that are on sale right now interest me (I missed the Uber sale apparently, as I'm only seeing them at full price today) but I would keep an eye on the site to see if anything pops up before the promotion ends.

anyone do AU for CSR? i cant figure out if i need to request a PP card for my AU or not.

@AmyAnne, I know you said you combined personal and business logins and that may be causing the problem. But when you were checking out at Walmart.com, did you click "More" where the payment info is? The Chase Pay option is hidden under there. Once you select Chase Pay as your payment method, I'd try logging in using my Chase personal account login/password.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I go directly to the Walmart site, I can get to the Chase Pay button but it says "temporarily unavailable." If I go through the UR site, I can actually click on the Chase Pay button but then it says no Chase Pay for you.

If I actually wanted/needed to spend money at Walmart, I might consider trying to separate the personal and business logins but I would be buying gift cards to convert to other gift cards and it's just not enough of a bonus to mess with at the moment. But I appreciate this thread and everyone's help figuring out what was happening.

does it come automatically? or do u have to request it.

I'm trying to remember, but I think I requested it through the Card Benefits dropdown link in my CSR account. If the option's not there, just send an SM to Chase to request one.

Def strange. Did u start out with a Business account? if not, you should have personal login and it should still work.

When DH was AU on my account and I registered for PP, his came automatically with mine.

thanks guys, im probably gonna ask chase directly now haha.

DP: I tried paying our electricity bill using CIP through Plastiq this month and it looks like it'll earn 3x UR. PG&E was already in their system of recipients with the business category set as "utilities." PG&E accepts credit card payments directly with a flat $1.35 fee, whereas Plastiq charges 2.5%. If I went with the flat fee, I'd be paying about 1¢ per UR; with Plastiq, I'm paying about 0.8¢ per UR. Obviously, YMMV how Plastiq will code your transaction, and you'll have to decide whether it's worth it to you to pay your utility company directly or through Plastiq.

I'm BAAACCCKKK! Had an awesome time visiting my family in TX but we were gone for 10 days! I feel like I've missed stuff here lol :D Something about Walmart. Gotta read back. Anything else of interest right now?

I know many of us are coming up on 1-year of having the CSR. I am still so torn on whether or not to keep it. Anyone remember the 'break even' point? My dh has one too so I could always cancel mine and then hem and haw on his (he got it later than me). But I kind of want the card in my name if we are keeping :D I was all on board with keeping it when we could put the travel credit towards the DVA. Now, I'm just not sure.

Walmart earning 10x via Chase Pay. Sapphire Reserve and preferred both work as well as freedom/freedom Unlimited. up to $250(per card). currently finished $250 on 2 cards, working on a my third one.

other than that, the only other big thing was the 10% off with amex card for Cable and Phone bill. they also stack.

just got a reply from Chase, they will automatically send me a card.

How do I find the offer, Albort? Is it targeted or available to all? I have Reserve, Preferred and Freedom.

The email about the promo went out to only some people (leading to early speculation it was targeted), but the promo is available on all Freedom, FU, Sapphire, CSP, and CSR accounts (not cards, e.g. AU cards) whether you got the email or not.

DoC updated his post on this promo: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-pay-earn-10x10-walmart-com-250-purchases/

Sorry for another obtuse question. If I buy $250 worth of Walmart gc (assuming orders aren't cancelled) on csr, CSP, and cf, then I can purchase $750 of Disney gift cards in store and earn 7,500 ur points which once I transfer the CSP and Cf points to my csr are worth $112.50 on the ur travel portal? In other words if you have csr and book travel through ur you are getting 15% off.

Yes. This is exactly how it would work.

Re: Walmart 10% thingy.

Will Sam's allow you to purchase Disney gift cards with Sam's gift cards? I'm thinking about getting a $150 Sam's e-gift card to then purchase a 3-pack of $50 Disney gift cards ($142.98), and then just a regular $100 Walmart gift card because I'm in that wretched store at least once a week (LOL).
