Thanks..... Sigh.... I guess I have to call chase- I kep geting a message on the app that it can't verify my info without a call....I shopped Walmart .com on my computer going through a shopping portal. Check cashbackmonitor .com to see which portal gives you the points/miles/cash you want for shopping at Walmart. Click through the shopping portal of your choice. When I was ready to check out, click "More" where the payment method is to access the Chase Pay option. You can log in to Chase Pay using your chase .com personal login/password. I don't think you need to set it up beforehand on the app. Chase Pay will have all the credit cards connected to your Chase .com personal account, but keep in mind that only Freedom, FU, Sapphire, CSP, and CSR cards qualify for the 10x UR Walmart .com offer so pick one of those cards as your payment method and don't use points to pay. When Chase Pay fills in your payment method, you may see the last four digits of a card that's not yours; I think that's just a Chase Pay feature that masks your actual card number. Place your order and you should be good to go.
Found the answer on Chase. When you use Chase Pay, we just send the merchant your payment token (i.e. substitute account number). We never share your Chase username or password, credit card number or account number with merchants.I am trying to make my Walmart, com purchase with Chase Pay. I have it linked to my CSR but the check-out screen is showing a totally different last 4 digits and expiration date than my CSR. Does Chase Pay set-up a different account number that is linked to my CSR?
I just got approved for the CSR! Is there a number to call to get the card quick or secure message? DH wants to do a last minute trip next weekend.
Just read an article in the Wall Street Journal about a rewards card B of A is introducing next month. It looks very attractive if you have a lot of money sitting in a B of A savings account. Sign up bonus is 50k points for $3k in spending.
I'll be sticking with my CSR.
Just used Chase Pay for all 3 cards, CFU, Freedom and CSR on the Walmart dot com deal. I bought Walmart GCs.
I went through the British Airways portal which was offering 4 Avios miles per dollar on Walmart. Then I went back a second time through the BA portal to get to Sam's, also at 4 Avios per dollar to purchase discounted Disney gift cards with the Walmart gift cards. 7500 UR points, 6,000 BA miles and almost 5% off Disney gift cards is a pretty good stacking deal for me. YAY!
Yes. Each profile requires a separate login. However, all of my cards (personal and business) are still listed in my business profile, so the only time I'd need to use the personal profile login is for another Chase Pay bonus if offered. I kept the logins very similar, so it's really a non-event for me and well worth it to have taken advantage of the promo offer.
Nice!! Was there any disclaimer on the Avios portal about gift cards being excluded?
Edit: I found this language on the portal:
Walmart: "Stated reward is for purchasing: Apparel. You will receive a lower reward on these products: Home, Auto & Home Improvement, Health, Baby, Grocery, Electronics, Video Games, Movies, Music, Books, Photo. No rewards given on: Purchase from Storms, Purchase from Sam’s club, Pharmacy, Tires, Financial services, Travel services, Optical, Internet services and Gift cards."
Sam's Club: "You will receive a lower reward on Electronics, Video Games, Office Supplies and Kitchen Electrics. No rewards given for gift card purchases, Gift Card Bundles or “Click’n’Pull” (pick up in store) items and tires."
I'll be interested to see if you get your points credited.
Thanks for this. As long as I can still have one login with all of the cards, I guess it's not an issue to have a separate login with only the personal cards. I'll call Chase in a bit and see if they can set it up without a lot of hassle. I just realized my daughter is going to need to reorder contacts for the fall, and she can get them at the best price at Sams Club. So I do have an immediate use for Walmart gift cards after all.
Applied for & received CitiBusiness AA card for DH. Made up a name on the spot. We have a rental property we actually make no profit on, so I called it xxx Rentals.
Used DHs SS#. No recon, instant approval.
I will say we cancelled the card after 5 months. The website sucked for us. Despite hours on the phone with IT, we couldn't update or change alerts, didn't get email statements, issues logging on, etc. After I almost missed a payment since we didn't get a statement, I was done. DH called & cancelled. They offered 1k bonus miles for 6 months of spending 1k per month to stay. No thanks.
you can SM or you can call (800)463-7970. CSR direct line. Might be better to call asap! and also CONGRATS on your CSR! welcome to the family! i think we all have CSRs here lol.
Its not a bad card. Its basically free. its def a CSP competitor. You can also get up to 2.65x back. $100 travel credit, $100 GE/TSA pre credit. its only $95 af. my guess right now is transfer partners would be amtrak, alaska(maybe virgin?) or $500. I may get this one simple to get my dad a GE.

This is me...Still trying to decide between CSR and CSP...

Sorry for asking a repeat question; but what all is this Walmart deal? Buy a WM gift card for $250 via online, using Chase Portal and using Chase Pay and you get 10 points per $1 spent in UR points? Then, spend WM Gift card at Sams to buy Dis Gift Card at 5% off?
No AF first year? I can find that with $150 statement credit but not $250.Are you kidding me? There's a new Blue Cash Preferred offer that waives the $95 annual fee. DH just got this card last week, but I've read that Amex NEVER matches later offers. Grrrrr.
It probably doesn't apply to the increased $250 incognito bonus I found for him, so I suppose it evens out. Some of you might benefit though!
Were you able to get this resolved? I tried this morning and it kept getting declined. I guess my CSR was flagged by the fraud dept. because I had never used Chase Pay before. Well, d'uh, it's new and you are trying to get us to use it! So, I got the flag removed and the rep said to try again. OK, I gave it 20min and tried again but the same thing happened. So, 10min later I get another call from the fraud dept. This time they escalated it to a supervisor who was finally able to remove the flag so the transaction could go through. Phew! Not sure if I'm willing to try it on CSP and Freedom cards if I have to call each time.Thanks..... Sigh.... I have not had problems with the Citi AA card, just the business version. Although your problem seemed to be with AA themselves and I have found them rude on the phone. No issues with actual flights so I kept the card even though I was tempted to cancel before. I just try not to call. Lol.I'm really tempted to cancel my Citi AA card at this moment too. Just spoke to the two rudest people I have encountered in a long time at American Airlines trying to get my known traveler number added to my AA frequent flier account. After the first rude person said she was transferring me, I thought things would get better but they actually got worse. The frequent flier person wanted to go through and confirm every single detail of my account even though I told him it was all correct. At one point he said, "I see you've been earning miles without actually flying. Would you care to tell me how you're doing that?" I was really tempted to say, "No, I wouldn't care to tell you that - all I care is that you fix my account so I get TSA precheck." But I figured I needed him to help me so I just said credit card spending. And in the end (after about a 45 minute phone call) all he said was he would submit the information to TSA and maybe it would get fixed and maybe it wouldn't. Super frustrated with AA right now.
