I love credit cards so much!

I ran into that too, when I tried to talk with the agencies. I used this one: http://www.dvc-rental.com/ My CSR also coded as travel with them.

Great to hear. Thanks! We are looking for 9/2019 and want to see the cheapest way to have either Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge with the dining plan. That time of year would have free dining. I know with renting points, the dining would be full price.

We were all set to try the Priority Pass Select Lounge in Orlando on Fri evening on Concourse A but...SW did not have my TSA Pre✔️ on my boarding pass and since the lounge is in the "international" wing we would have had to clear security again and just didn't feel like the hassle of going through the line again. I did message SW since my known traveler # is on my SW account and I had no problems going to Orlando. Now I am going to have check my boarding pass more carefully in the future. Maybe next time....

According to http://www.dvc-rental.com/renters/reservation-process, the payment is all through paypal or personal check??

Yes. When you rent points, you either use a credit card via Paypal or personal check. Payment is 100% due at the time of booking for DVC rentals.

As far as using credit card points towards payment, you either need to use points for a statement credit or cash back, depending on the type of card. It's not the same as a hotel reservation, so you can't go through a travel portal to book a DVC rental.

And I would not rely on free dining during any specific time period or for any specific resorts. The promotions that are offered do change and free dining options and availability have definitely declined over the past few years, so it is something to consider. With a DVC rental, to ensure your desired resort, you will have to book 11 months before your vacation dates, which is when availability to owners opens up. This is way before you will know dates for any Fall free dining promotions. You can add the dining plan to your DVC rental and you will pay that all upfront as well, though generally you can add it closer to your travel dates. Different brokers or owners will probably have different rules regarding that.

Yup. I paid both deposit and balance through the paypal link they sent me, and it coded as travel for those cards at the time.

Ok, I didn't know Paypal could code that way. How many cards could you spread it out through? (Trying to use as many bonuses as possible).

Does anyone have any experience booking Aulani with UR points? Our target date is next July and it never comes up as an option. Just out of curiosity I've checked several other dates and don't see it available. Is it just really hard to get using points? Any tips? Thanks!

I logged into my Amex page today and my offers have disappeared! The one's I loaded to my card are gone and all other offers. Has anyone else's? I'm wondering if it is a glitch or if they really are gone.

Walmart.com is notorious for cancelling e-gift card orders.

This happened to the one I tried to order. I wondered what happened, but hadn't called to check, so I guess it's good to know it happens to others. I think I'm just not going to mess with a gift card. We recently started ordering some of our grocery orders from them online anyway. Makes our actual trips to the store much shorter and if you order $35 worth the shipping is free. So, I'll just use chase pay on the next few orders this month and should be able to hit the $250 max easily.

Mine did that the other day, but they came back. I think they must be doing something to the site.

I think/hope a glitch or IT update of some sort. Of my 4 accounts, 3 are not showing offers. This seems to happen occasionally. Weird.

Have people had luck using this lounge with their CSR PP card? We are flying out of MCO super late Sunday night so thinking it won't be a big deal to go through security twice. I hope.

I split my balance payment into two. I did a test run of $100 to see how it coded, because if my Barclay didn't code as travel I was going to use my CSR for the rest. Then I paid the remainder with my Barclay since it worked, and redeemed my $550 of points towards the charge :) I did ask about splitting it... the conversation went as follows, with me in bold:

I have one question - is it okay if I split my payment via Paypal into two payments, as in one tonight and one on Friday?

that's perfectly fine or I'm also fine if you want to send just one payment on Friday

Thanks! I was curious if I will be able to use some of my credit card rewards towards the charge, otherwise I have another card I will use.

As the payment is coming to us, I can't accept credit card rewards. -Scott

Sorry, I meant rewards I just apply to the charges on my credit card statement. I should have been more clear.

You can use Disney reward dollars to pay for tickets or the dining plan if you have a Disney Chase Visa, but otherwise you cannot use any rewards as a form of payment.

I'm sure they get a lot of questions about paying them with gift cards or why they don't count for the 6 months of no interest on Disney Visa, etc. I wasn't quite sure how else to state that to make it clear that it's the credit card company eating the cost, so I just made my $100 payment on a weekday and the next day it had processed and coded as travel, so I paid the balance.

The new platform seems to do that periodically. I have had it happen a few times but they always show back up later. If you call, they can confirm what offers are attached even though you can't see it on the website.

I haven't tried domestically. We did use the PP from my CSR in London last month to access the Aspire lounge. I was the only one with the PP card on me and had no problem bringing my mom and DH in the lounge too.

The site has been down. There is supposed to be a new one for Delta tickets and I don't have it on any of our 4 cards but am going to keep checking as it sounds like a good offer!

Something to keep in mind: do you have pre-check and if so what hours does MCO run pre-check? (During off-hours airports shut down their pre-check lanes.) MCO TSA is usually one of the slowest TSA check points in the country, but idk late Sun night- you could inquire about what sort of wait to expect at TSA over on the travel board.

I was really hoping I was targeted for the offer but of course since I'd use it (in a heartbeat) not for me :( It's a great one especially if you primarily fly Delta! TPG even had an article on it, which I don't see very often.
