I love credit cards so much!

Anyone know how RMN works when you've ordered something through them and are going to return it. Just got it today decided I don't want it. But last week did get an email from them that the cashback would be pending. I plan to return it at the store this weekend. Just wondering how it will play out if the cashback is posted by then.

Not sure if it's been posted but...looks like 12/2 is the Target 10% off Target gc. Not as exciting now that GC->GC is dead but could help with MSRs I suppose. And really, everyone needs tp, right?

Well if Chase would get with it, I could use some for an MSR. But they are useful for me either way. I do all my grocery/household shopping at Target. And combined with the 20% coupon from Friday and my dd employee discount, it can make for a heck of a deal.

My dd works at target too! Can you pay with a gc and get the employee discount? Another team member told my dd she had to have a red card to use her discount so she’s been using my red card.

Anyone get in on redeeming Hilton points for $.005/point on Amazon this evening? I skimmed the news earlier this evening, did not really understand it & when it finally clicked in my sugar dazed brain and I see it’s dead. (The normal remdemption rate is $.002, appears there was a temporary glitch this evening.)

ETA: fixed the rates

This seems to be back. Saw a mention on DoC and r/churning from people cashing out Hilton for GC's again on Amazon.

I will ask my dd. I believe she was just told it couldn’t be a visa MasterCard Amex type card that Target pays fees on. My dd has her own Red Card so she has been using that or mine depending on whose stuff she is buying. I will ask her or read her handbook to see if it says

I have the same understanding as @elgerber . I checked with my nephew over the summer when he started working there and he confirmed he could still use GC's; didn't want to buy one if they had changed it. You just couldn't use a non-Target card to pay for the Target GC to get around the rules. But if you went to Lowe's and got one discounted, that's different :)

I checked the Help section on the site and I think it's been updated but includes more options. Like I don't remember seeing before that you could use a prepaid card; from help.target.com

"Payment must be made with one of the following in order to apply your team member discount: Target Debit Card™, Target™ Mastercard®, Target Credit Card™, Target GiftCard™, OptumHealth Bank HSA Debit card, Target Paycard (select credit at checkout), co-branded prepaid cards (Visa/American Express/Mastercard), EBT and food stamp cards. You cannot use non-Target debit/cash cards or credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express. It is not acceptable for you to purchase Target GiftCards® with a non-Target debit/cash card or credit card for the purpose of working around these restrictions."

Not that I need this NOW that I spent $900 in free/discounted Disney GC's the day before the price increase. Ugh.

But thank you!!!

Anyone else hoping they will put Disney hotels back in the mix????
I agree - hotels is the more important piece of this puzzle.

The loss of hotels was really so unfortunate. Tickets coming back (or perhaps they were never gone but we weren't sure how to find them) is nice and all, but not a game changer and in many instances barely worth it as currently setup requiring the flex option. Plus, there's many options and tricks to save on tickets.

Of course, everybody's travel preferences are different but I know many people were using URs to secure deluxe accommodations. For those chasing the high end Disney properties, the hotel component of the trip is much larger than the ticket portion with 60-75% of the package cost being the hotel (excluding dining costs that is). I hope Disney hotels make a return to the portal, it seems logical that they should at some point...but it didn't seem logical for them to go away in the first place, so who knows. I do keep searching for them regularly in hopes that something will change!

Love it! When my son worked there years ago, I did something similar and stocked up on Disney gift cards as well as bought out the store in merchandise.

I'm really tempted by this. This is not a bad use of Hilton points. And with the current transfer bonus, you could theoretically transfer MR to Hilton to Amazon to get 1.3 cents per MR as long as this deal holds up. You would risk getting stuck with Hilton points, though.

I would NOT RISK this move unless you're happy getting stuck with the Hilton points. Any delays and this "glitch" going away again leaves you high and dry.

Also...you may want to check that math. 13cpp, lol? Did you mean 1cpp or 1.3cpp or something significantly lower :P

(you are right though, it is a GREAT use of Hilton points if you already have them)

That is a pretty good price, I just bought the illustrated Tales of Beedle the Bard on Friday for around the same price I think. I do know that one day around this time last year, they had the illustrated Fantastic Beasts at something crazy like $9.99. It was very limited time and I remember that you could only order 2 per person. I think it sold out fairly quickly.

Oh! We own two copies of the Tales of Beedle the Bard Collector’s Edition! I can’t believe this book came out almost exactly ten years ago. The Collector’s Edition was recreated by Amazon from one of J.K. Rowling’s handwritten and hand drawn originals that Amazon won at auction. One of our copies is still sealed in the original Amazon shipping box. The other copy, we opened and it’s a treasure.

Not ours, but for reference:

Oops - edited my post to add that decimal point. I wouldn't risk the MR transfer, either. It would really be a downer to convert a bunch of AmEx MR to Hilton Hilton points and then get stuck.

Apparently the new referrals related issue that r/churning has to attack is the "referrals in profile" flair. My goodness there's a bunch of snowflakes running around there. They have this vote going on and there's a bunch of people campaigning for the vote to ban them (including a new mod which I find a little odd...shouldn't they allow an impartial vote to occur). I think the real issue is that people that don't get referrals think it's unfair that others do...so they are attempting to eliminate referrals altogether so nobody gets them. I'm very VERY close to ceasing all activity on r/churning. I've only made 12 comments there in the past month (and I made 272 comments in the 2 months prior to that). That place just continues to grow more toxic and it's just too big for it's own good now.

NO worries though, I'll still comment here AND I'll still read there for the 2 comments a week that mean something (but @Lain will probably beat me to those comments anyways :P).

Also @Lain - dust off that "ReferralsInProfile" reddit name...might become pretty useful!
