Haha...I got my $100 statement credit today for self referring myself to the Gold card. Zero balance on the card and now I have to spend $100 on it. Not complaining, except it would have been nice to have an offer I wanted to use to kind of help it generate some more profit.

You can request to have that moved to a card with a balance under the Disputes section in Amex. It takes about a week but it's all automated. That's another option.

For your AmEx business employee cards, do you typically set them up under the primary CH's account, under DH's existing account or establish a new logon account?

DW got an SPG Biz and added me as an employee, and I added my employee card to my Amex login without issues.

Was it confirmed that the Cheesecake Factory GC online purchase would trigger the Gold $10 credit? CF is offering a free slice of cheesecake with a $25 GC purchase through 12/31 so I thought I could just do that for Nov and Dec's $10 credit. Two free slices plus only $40 for $50 in GCs.

ETA: Found my own answer: If you want to use your American Express Gold benefit, keep in mind that online gift card purchases DO NOT code as the cheesecake factory, so you’ll need to purchase it in store. Looks like I need to figure out how to make it to the restaurant today Not fun since it's located at the mall and parking will suck.

So my SW Biz - that I am in no hurry to meet MSR on - arrived today. Was approved for this a week ago.

Meanwhile, the Amex BBP that I want to put spend on and was approved for almost 3 weeks ago has not shown up. Called Amex only to be told - it should have gone out, but doesn't look like it has. Supposedly will be expedited now. The ridiculous part was that even though they acknowledged that they hadn't sent the card out - I still had to listen to a whole spiel about them having to change my account number, cut up existing cards, notify any automatic billing vendors etc etc.

Hope it arrives soon - had to have a new water heater installed last week and they want their money.

Weird. Having issues with my BBP showing up too. Luckily I got an employee card so that came but mine never showed. Was supposed to get the new one that was expedited today and hasn’t arrived.

Had problems receiving mine and SOs BBP.

Unless something has changed, the Anniv points will show on a statement and then transfer to your SW RR account a few days later. You don’t need to spend any money to trigger the points on the statements.

Is this the first anniversary on this card or have you had it for 2 years? If it’s your second year, you could go back and see when the points showed up last year. It would take some pretty strange circumstances for your annual fee to post without your anniv points - based on how it should work I would have thought it was impossible. Do you remember the exact date you were approved for this card?

I opened the card around 10/1/16, so this is my second anniversary. Looks like I got the anniversary points on 11/13 last year. I'm thinking maybe I should go ahead and call and see what they say?

I am using the Sapphire Reserve. This is how it came up, was looking for Universal Orlando and just stumbled on it.
In the UR portal -> "Things to do"
Put in Orlando, FL with some dates.. I put February 2019
Click on "universal orlando"
Scroll all the way to the bottom and you see "People who looked at "Universal Orlando™ T..." also viewed"
"Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets"
It doesn't appear to be in the main list of activities, you have to look for something else then it appears at the bottom.
EDIT: With the same trick, appears Disneyland is there too. Just pick Anaheim, then Legoland.. Disneyland is there at the bottom! Disneyland also has no cancellation fee!​

I also verified this and I can see them...very strange and almost feels like a glitch...Proceed with caution I guess...Seems like they ONLY have tickets with the "flexible" option so they will cost more than date specific tickets.

Was talking with SIL a couple weeks ago since she’s a bank manager at Chase. Told her how frustrated I was that Disney isn’t on the ur redemption anymore. She said that will be fixed since they carry the Disney card they need to offer it on ur. She’s got a few high dollar customers and was going to let them know. So maybe it just took lots of us complaining to get them added on. Hoping it’s just the start of adding Disney back on and more will show up.

We did decide to go for it last night from my ED link and instant approval, but it wouldn't let him add it to his existing login. We'll try from the email link today and see if that likes him better, otherwise may have to call in to get it merged.

I ended up calling to have my Biz Gold merged with my other accounts since I couldn't get chat to come up on my iPad. It was quick and painless.

That was my issue! Not sure where November went. I was thinking to my self after we went trick or treating that I need to go to get my November gift card in the in the next couple days...now we are 4 days from December.

I didn't see if it was confirmed but it would be a nice option. I may take my November card back in December to see if they can add money to it. I would prefer not to have a stack of $10 cards lingering. Not sure how their POS is setup and if they have a limit on the number of cards that can be taken for a bill.

Good to know since he was going to wait until the card showed to finish setup and add me as an employee ( didn't want to rock instant approval boat doing it during the application ). If I remember correctly, you may get a message that the login will be deactivated.

Amex once sent me a check for about $2 when I had a credit I didn't use after about a month. But, I think I'll shop with it this week. I also have a $99 credit hanging out on my Chase SW visa ….when I talked to the rep on closing the card, I had requested it be mailed - didn't happen! And as a side note, it took forever for my points to post and it was getting close to payment time so I got nervous and paid the bill before it was due. THEN my points posted and later my credit came through. Thanks for your reply!

I can't say for sure, but I think it would be ok. When I looked, there were two ticket options on the website: one for the special spring tickets and one for normal tickets/park hoppers. Once I purchased the tickets (I bought the spring special tickets) there was no use date on the voucher or when I added it to the Disneyland App (there was language about the expiration and blackout dates for these discount tickets). I think you would be ok with purchasing the normal tickets and linking them, but I don't want to lead you astray since I only know what it says on the voucher and online. They do have the language about being refundable until 72 hours before travel, so I think you could buy them, read the details on the vouchers, and then cancel if needed.

Ha, ha. I am pretty sure we don't have Grubhub up in Manchester. I believe there might be one Uber in all of Carroll County.

I actually have to go Arundel Mills since I decided to make my own Countdown to Christmas calendar for DS and need to pick up Harry Potter Lego men to go into the Chinese take-out boxes I am using for it. I am sure it will be just as much of a mess as Columbia Mall though.

SO my friend who wants to get the ball rolling today.... I mentioned before, CK score of about 740, 3/24, (plus one refi on the mortgage) she had a biz, but now would have a 'biz'..... is that link from last week still live? the 2k/50k link? I want her to get in on that if possible- and then the biz card in a month (?) or should she app the biz card now and then the link pers.(if available) right away after that? I can't find the original post I read about this.... (desperately chewing nails trying to locate the wisdom here)
