I love credit cards so much!

I know a lot have answered and confirmed the return on the Disney CC points isn't the best. There are definitely better rewards cards out there if that is your goal.

I primarily opened and use mine for the Disney perks like 10% off $50+ merchandise, early cardholder access to sales such as Friends and Family, additional room discounts/free dining promos, character meets in WDW, etc. If these things interest you, it may still be a decent option. It will just take up a slot in your 5/24 and restrict your other Chase applications for a small period of time.

I wonder if anyone here doesn't have that one? We got ours when staying at the Poly years and years ago, hoping for some decent Discounts. I just want to add that there are some small discounts on DCL (photos and gift shop purchases) if you use this card. Other than that kind of spend, our Disney cards live a quiet life. I have a feeling that Disney may get wise to this and promote a better card some day, but then I have friends who use it for everything even with the tiny returns...

got mine the first day they offered it...and my sister uses hers because it’s Disney and the characters are on it...I’ve shown her how many UR points I’ve acquired since May on other Chase cards...but it’s a no go with her..because the Disney card is cute

Has anybody have really weird things going on with the INK cards lately?

I've had my CIC for about a month now and when I tried to make the first payment, it wouldn't let me add my Chase checking account to pay it off. Called Chase and the IT guy said it was a glitch on some of the accounts in which I'd have to combine my personal and business into one. We did it and everything worked out perfectly. I was able to make a payment no problem.

Now I'm at about a month out and noticed that I don't have a statement closing date and none of my charges are "showing" in the app. I have to search for all transactions made to see anything that I bought... ever since I've had the card. I opened the CIC on 10/13 and my due date for my next payment is on 12/3.

I know the Chase Business cards have a mind of their own, but this is just really weird.

I don't recall having the transactions issue when I got mine, but I can kinda see their glitch there. They're looking for transactions since last statement and you don't have a last statement sooo that does sound like an IT thing as I don't remember having to select anything different when I had mine.

They don't show the statement date anywhere but in the dropdown box and since you haven't closed a statement there's no date there. However based on that date you can't see they know when you're payment is due. Payment is due roughly 21 days after statement close so your first statement could close around 11/12 ish and make sense. And then you're back into just the usual "glitches" on the business site, hopefully :)

It is cute. My DD has one (AU on ours) as a back up for when places won't accept her AMEX, but most of the time it's not an issue for her so it rarely gets used (plus she has her own Visa now). But it's the one she wanted since it was cute. :P

So I guess the card perks didn't stack with employee perks? Otherwise why did you NOT have one?? :p
Or were DL perks not as good at that time? Now that I think about it, I remember reading through the DL list once and going "hm, yeah, wouldn't use any of that, guess I save the cross country airfare :) " as they didn't seem to have as many discounts like WDW. I swear one year you may have gotten a backpack or something if you booked a package at the expensive hotel. I know 10% off of a tour isn't much but I'm pretty sure it was a better value than a backpack on a 1k+ hotel package. (I might be mixing that up with something else but I'm sure there was something similar)

I've booked at WDW with the Visa discount and used it for meet & greets and DCL purchases, but I have never found any sort of a deal or a discount at DL, which is pretty sad really.

No Disney card for us either! And we’re long-time WDW and DL visitors :)

perks were great but never thought of needing it at all. i didnt churn when i worked at disney, ive only discovered churning 3 years ago, i worked from 2006--> 2011. Even now, i dont exactly have the desire to go into the park unless its something new. even so, i rarely spend money in the park, my ticket is usually free, food, my co workers usually pay(since they get the discount and i pay cash later), if i need items is the same. special meet and greet has no desire for me... now if i get access to like, special seating area and what not, that might be attractive for me to get one. other than that, i rather swipe my 2% BBP or 1.5x CFU.

I feel left out on the KA talk. Lol. I think my mixer was probably $20 at Walmart. I always think I want a KA, but last year my DH suggested we buy one and I said no. I don’t have room on my counters and I really don’t like to cook/bake. I like the idea of it, but I don’t think I’d use it anymore than my hand mixer, which isn’t that often. I just used my mom’s to make something and I was telling my friend it was a flop. She told me I needed a stand mixer, because she tells me that often. Lol But she didn’t know I was using one and the recipe still didn’t turn out right. So I guess it won’t magically make me a good cook or someone who likes to cook so I will stick with my cheap easy to store version.

I barely know what a mixer is and have absolutely no idea what I would do with one. Of course DH is the one who cooks. :)

I have used mine (which I have had for years as first Chase card) to buy the DVC direct and pay off slowly. I’m doing that since not a new card hasn’t impacted my credit report much at all. And having some time to pay it off instead of just taking money from savings has been nice.

In other news like @platamama my MR points for the business gold posted today. Makes me kind of sad though since ended up making the 10k spend in 3 months not 4 so totally should have been smarter like @Lain and @tink1970 suggested and got the biz plat. Now I am totally obsessing on somehow getting it as my next card. Sooner not later...

That is really sad and kinda what I remember when I would look through the list of perks for each park. But I guess attendance at DL is/was steadier than WDW so maybe they felt they didn't need to incentivize much on that side. Sucks for the locals though.

And that makes sense given what's available. Since you were there I'm pretty sure you could have met any character you want, in or out of costume!, at some point :)

I have a friend that uses hers all the time and I have told her that there are better cards. She always replies that it saves her so much money on Disney!

Lol my daughter too....she and her husband opened Disney cards before our trip in September to get the $200 statement credit......even thought I felt the other Chase cards had a better bonus ..but they did use my referral link :)

Yep it was our ONLY Chase card until I found all of you. :rotfl: And we rarely used it. That part hasn't really changed.

I *think* we are not going to go for that Biz Plat because we want to grab the LUX before the offer expires. Then I get total FOMO and waffle. I clearly am not good at being decisive about this stuff.

I had the Chase Disney card and two SW cards for the CP....and thought that was great..before I found everyone here...
