I love credit cards so much!

Yeah it was easy on my solo trip, to only pay for one (so I did HEA, SW and EMM) but I also forked over the $$$ for both HEA and SW on our family trip in September for the 4 of us. Cost and arm and a leg but it was totally worth it. The viewing at SW, while a bit close was amazing! We sat on a short ledge, and stretched our legs out and no one was anywhere near us.

Yeah, I would never do the Terrace party, only the plaza garden party. The viewing at the Terrace is horrible.

Me too, a pretty big stuffed one! I passed him on to my dd and she loved him too. I think he has finally left the house, but oh how we adored him!!
If we ever do it again we will definitely choose the plaza viewing.

Hmm tough decision. What does your travel party look like (adults, children, etc) and how much are you planning on using the pool?

Little Mermaid rooms are the furthest from the Lobby at AoA. The have two full-size beds and these rooms are seeing some wear and tear.

Pop has the fully refurbished rooms with 2 queen beds (one is a murphy bed) and very large television.

If theme and pool are important, I would go AoA. If updated room with bigger bed and tv are important, I would go Pop.

Busses are practically the same and you can always use the other resorts' open amenities like busses and quick service.
Great to know..4 of us, including DD20 and DS16. We definitely need the bigger beds. We are there to rope drop, midday nap, and stay out late for 4 solid days. Some swim time midday after the nap.

Ok, the rooms at pop were all just refurbished and now all rooms have two queen beds (one is a Murphy pull down) except for the handful of king bed rooms. The beds at Art are doubles so I know that makes a difference for people.
Yes, we have been staying at moderates for the last few onsite stays and it probably would be difficult without the queens. Thanks

I can't decided if I want to pay $110 for this room, or use 17.5k Marriott points. I'm struggling because it's not a great value for the points, but do I want to pay the cash...

REMINDER: Today, 10/31/18, is the last day of Plastiq's Get 1 FFD per $1 Spent with Mastercard targeted promo. Payments must process by today (Plastiq's cutoff seems to be 8:59 p.m. PT) and must pay the 2.5% fee. You'll get FFDs in the same amount as your payment sans the fee on 11/1/18. MCGCs have been confirmed to earn FFDs despite the terms.

True. In parks, you can also use Disney GCs.

I’d imagine in Disney Springs, like at Downtown Disney here in CA, Starbucks runs their own stores, so you can pay and redeem with the Starbucks app, but you can’t use Disney GCs.

Thanks. I'm going to take advantage of the deal for 1500 URs for $25 on Chase Pay plus the Starbucks deal of getting 125 stars when you load $20 through Chase Pay. We'll definitely be stopping at Starbucks on our drive down to FL and like to get Starbucks in the park too.

I would say Pop then! You can get a room much closer to the main lobby and use the $50 for something else on your trip. The murphy bed is nice too because its a regular queen mattress like the other bed in the room, not a sofa bed in pieces or anything.

Is it normal for AMEX not to be accepted in a lot of places? There were 2-3 places we couldn’t use our card on our trip. We also apparently can’t pay dh’s doctor bills with it. Kind of a bummer because we are trying to meet my MSR.

If you log in to your AMEX account, in the section where you add the offers to your card there should be a tab that says “Saved” or “Redeemed” (can’t remember which it is). Click on that and it will show you your total $ saved via offers on that card, and a list of each transaction that triggered an offer.
Thanks

Unfortunately, yes. That is why I have such a hard time with MSR's on Amex cards (and yet I have another one coming)

I'm glad I didn't cancel POP before I asked...Phew! We can use the extra $ to help offset Ohana.

I really need this MSR to be met and Dh has his at the same time. We will find a way to make it work.

Just a reminder that today is the last day to get gift cards from BJ’s for Disney at a better price. Also I was unaware that you could use your rewards for being a gold member on gift cards. I loaded up on some today.

I called Amex today to try and upgrade to the lux and was told no because I didn’t have the card for 12 months. It is 11 1/2 months that I’ve had the card. They said call back after 12 months. Lol.

Just booked the Courtyard Marriott LAX/Hawthorne through the CSR portal. On the plus side, there's a real discount ("Special Price") of 30% off of the regular Expedia rate. On the downside, I picked the with breakfast rate, but it didn't show up on the confirmation. Had to call and get them to send me another confirmation that shows that.

9200 URs with breakfast for 2 (1 hot entree, 1 small drink up to $15 total each), not a bad deal. :)
