Wow. I just have to give a plug for our local, the next town over and even Weis that is in PA and not MD. I drop a lot of packages off for DH for our eBay businesses and I have always had amazing service. Our PO workers are always super friendly and helpful. Joy frequently gives me compliments on what I am wearing.

I had very nice workers at a little office by my old job, and when I was in college. Unfortunately these ones are not as happy.

Latest word is HDDR still will be around but yes Mickey’s BBQ is only until end of year. We love HDDR but are doing Mickey’s BBQ for the first time next week. The fact that my mom paid me cash for her and my dad’s dinner and I was able to use the cost to help meet the Amex spends I have been working on and had nothing to do with it at all...

Any Capital One experts here, or anyone with the Venture Rewards? I'm thinking about this for my next card and wondering if there are any rules/guidelines similar to the Chase 5/24 rule.

Also wondering whether Capital One would approve a second business card (I have had the Spark for several years).

Also, I've read that for this card, there is a pretty expansive coding for travel, and you can use points for purchase up-front or use the points after the fact to "erase" the charges -- if you have the card, have you found it useful and easy to use?

I had the Venture for a couple years and liked it. I didn’t want to pay another AF though and downgraded it to the Quicksilver no AF. Before I did that though I was able to use the purchase eraser for the down payment to a house rental. So yes easy. I have a deal now on quicksilver to do tap and pay 3 times a month and get a $10 credit. Actually figured out today can tap and pay vending machines. Yippee free diet cokes!

@Alice Sr. I took the advice of @Albort and @Lain and did the chat to Amex on where is my Gold card I have a trip coming up. Tuesday morning they said it was sent USPS next day the day before (Monday). It didn’t come until today so honestly think it wasn’t sent until Tuesday when I did the chat. Just as a DP I applied Monday the 8th. So that was 10 days anyway. Definitely reach out if you are still waiting.

It was a good mail day...I was busy but so happy I ran home for lunch. Got my new FANCY rose gold Amex and also half of the BJ’s gift cards I have ordered. Maxed out Discover on BJ’s. Keeping Freedom for Costco.

Yeah N/I/S is tying for out top trip ever with another we did 6 years ago (on our own). So yes, I'm asking if the Baltic holds up in comparison, with the other cruise as a tough competitor. And also the ABD add-on. I'd like to hear your thoughts on both the cruise and what went wrong with ABD. St. P is the main draw on that cruise (for me at least) but maybe it's time to fly west instead of East and try something completely different. I really liked the DCL part, too, even though we were so exhausted we didn't do all that much on the ship.

Oh me too!! Did you find that on ebay or is that your own pic? I did find a wall shelf with hooks earlier. I think it was from maybe music. It was white and not as cute as this one.

I just googled that. I noticed them in the room back over labor day weekend. Then later I saw that they went up on a site that disney sells that stuff on, bc of the remodel... for only $39 if i remember right. But they were gone bu the time i saw the blog post

Eta: ok, it was $69. I still was going to buy it knowing I'd be getting birthday money

Thanks for the info and DP. I did chat last night, told them I was traveling on the 29th. Not really leaving until the 3rd but also want to apply the spend on GCs at BJ's. I also maxed my Discover on BJ's but I do not have Freedom. I applied on the 13th, my chat dude did say I would have it by the 29th, 10 days would be the 23rd which would be great but not holding my breath. Mine GCs came today and no one heard or saw him so they posted that they would try again tomorrow (when no one will be home grr). Should have placed 3 separate orders so we didn't have to sign for it.
