I love credit cards so much!

I’ve been checking DH’s CIP every day, hoping to see that 80,000 UR pending. A whole month since meeting the MSR just seems totally bizarre. I thought that by meeting MSR on the day our first statement closed, there’d be no way we’d miss getting it at the second statement. Guess I’ll lower my expectations even lower than what they already were. :sad2:

I thought it was strange when I went to look this morning for my bonus and referral points they still weren't pending (spend completed 8/20), but I have 5,000 points pending from what I assume is the AU that I just added last Thursday or Friday!

Gosh this is just crazy.
Is it with only UR cards or Co branded cards too?
It could really mess some people up with CP. I just met my spend on the biz and need to app for a personal next, but no knowing when the points will post is rather risky at this point. Likely they'd post before 12/31 if I hit the spend quickly, but I'm not sure that is guaranteed until we figure out what is going on.
Hope that the issue isn't with the co-branded cards as well, don't want the CP to get messed up over this. Definitely makes planning a little more difficult!

I'm waiting for my mom's CSP bonus. I'm nervous because we used Pnc bank to meet MSR. I hope Chase hasn't started to look too closely at how we meet the requirements!!

Mine was all organic spend...but hopefully not....I read someone who met the spend on 8/10 can now see the bonus pending...so maybe they are delaying 30 days for some reason

Finally got around to combining my SPG/Mariott accounts. Now I'm Gold Elite, that was kind of exciting for a minute :p Started thinking, I bet a bunch of people are now...best perk {for me} would be the upgrade. Wonder what the likelihood of getting a room upgrade at the Dolphin will be last 5 days of October...which also happens to be over their Food & Wine weekend thing. I suppose we'll see... Any other perks of Gold I should know about? Oh...you generally have to request the upgrade, right?

We're going to find out too. P2 is Platinum Elite and we check into Dolphin on October 28. I'm not holding my breath because they just might be 100% full with F&W, but it would be a nice surprise.

I usually do for drinks, things that the bartender has to fix. Theres usually a tip jar in most of the lounges. But I wouldn't feel like you have to tip like you would for a meal.
Thanks! I ended up tipping the one girl who went out of her way to get DH chicken noodle soup with extra noodles and DS chips when there were none. I did see the bartender’s jar and left her a tip before I left also. Heck, $6 for dinner drinking 2 glasses of wine is a bargain in any airport! (Although I still had to grab super picky DS McD’s fries :) ). Oh, and the temp wall was not up so we breezed through to our SW gate.

Another DP to follow @Judique re: getting a Marriott GC to trigger the offer and Lux credit. I got the GC on Saturday and the $60 Amex offer posted today. Now waiting to see if the Lux credit posts in the coming days, but I just may duplicate this on our other Amex cards where we have the Marriott offer. Will be handy to use for resort fees and any room charges we have for any upcoming stays.
Dumb question. How does one use a giftcard at Marriott? Do you give it to them at checkin or do you make sure they apply it the night before you check out like Disney resorts? Was thinking of getting a giftcard and doing Garden Grove before leaving for our cruise but would want to pay with a giftcard.

Saw on Reddit that the CSR/CSP referral language is now 48 months..checked my link and yep it’s there :(
Aw dang, so it is. Not even a pop up or anything that it's a different offer like when they change terms. Just the page changes to 48 everywhere it said 24. That was shorter than I expected.

Maybe they pulled the IT guys doing bonuses to do the updates so quickly and that's what happened.

It seems like it’s so widespread that it’s prob not them cracking down on specifics. I hope people’s bonuses start rolling in soon. How annoying!!!

I don't know that a Marriott gift card would work at Garden Grove. I'll be interested to find out if it will be good at the SPG properties.

It can't be used to book or guarantee a room, but I will be inquiring at check in about applying it to the room cost. Since most charges are posted after check in, even though you've booked the room with a credit card, I wouldn't wait until check out to bring it up. I've used Marriott gift certificates in the past and presented them on arrival.

Reposting and Bolding this since a lot of people skim the thread...

CHASE SAPPHIRE (CSR & CSP) SUPPORT LINKS ARE NOW SHOWING THE 48 MONTH LANGUAGE.
For those hoping to take advantage of that limited time loophole, it has now closed. You'll need to plan accordingly.

With how widespread these delays are, it does not appear related to Chase manually reviewing charges or anything. It is affecting branded and co-branded cards, churners AND non-churners. It should remedy itself soon, don't get yourself worried :) There's no reason to do so yet.

How neat, we'll be there the 25th-30th! Then headed to the Fort for 4 more nights. I'd say if you see a crazy lady with a couple of kids hanging off of her, that'd be me. But that's prob half the people at Disney lol.
