I am NOT a happy camper either I would have upgraded yesterday if I had known my cat 6 cert wouldn't be good at cat 1-5. Ugh!!

I pushed back a payment I had scheduled to be processed tomorrow to see if any more DPs come in since I scheduled it early just in case, but a few days wouldn't hurt me. Might send a test payment to see if I can provide a DP at a lesser 'cost'.

I have been waiting for my FIRST Plastiq payment to go through, and I saw the threads on Reddit that it might be dead. Just my luck. Anyway, I checked today and the payment posted on 8/15 and I got the 3x. I don't have any other payments that I can think of that I would use Plastiq for until next time I pay my property taxes, but crossing my fingers for everyone else that uses this more often.

It could be worse for us. One poster on FT used their last points they had to upgrade to a cat 6 from a cat 1-5 ...yesterday...after the no upgrades info came out. So they took his hard earned points yesterday, knowing he'd get nothing for them today. Unbelievable.

I was going to do the same but realized I had some FFDs I could use, so I went ahead with it since it is free. I'm not having my mortgage go through though, because that is a $100ish fee I'm not willing to risk.

I am attempting to use my AMEX Fedex offer on these. I got 25% back, which makes them $1 less than shipping through Ebay through USPS.

CIP loss stings, but I know for many of you it will hurt a lot. I feel like I should switch my TV from CNBC to Bloomberg for market coverage in protest of the selfish idiot who wrote up that article. Although all the people who didn't know about CIP 3x before, and therefore won't be a part of the communities that know it could be dead, will now try it and when it doesn't code 3x that author is going to hear from every last one of them. I hope for all you heavy CIP users this is another temporary glitch so much.

MARRIOTT: W.T.H.?! OMG. I think I'll try to do some skimming here after all to see where y'all ended up, some on Reddit are quite livid and it looks like with good reason. I had considered upgrading my Cat 6 cert to a Tier 1-3 but decided to stop my upgrade at Cat 9. I was loosely planning to use it at JW Marriott HK so it looks like that will still be an option and maybe even a better property but I'm most definitely in the minority here. I hope anyone who got screwed in this conversion can get point refunds, you DEFINITELY deserve them!

ETA: CIP 3x potential loss! yay, maybe there's hope!

Yippee!! I was just instantly approved for my first business card, the CIP with $1,000 in revenue and a $9,000 CL. I was really nervous about applying since I have a "business." I did use a DISChurners support link and I'll PM this person as soon as I post this.

Does someone have the number to call to expedite the card? I want to get start on that $5K MSR as soon as possible. Thanks!

I can't even believe the audacity of this whole thing. They clearly don't care or they would've at least waited a few weeks so they could pretend they didn't have a plan...but to release the info on sat morning...day 1...!?Despicable.
