We’ve got the same deal going on at Safeway. Seems to be an Albertsons company-wide promotion. I’ll be picking some up next week to make a dent in my Amex MSRs and shift that spend to places that don’t take Amex (ahem, Costco).

99.99% of the time, Plastiq codes 3x as expected and these positive DPs go unreported. Every now and then, there’s someone whose payment for some reason earns only 1x, and everyone starts freaking out wondering if it’s just a glitch, user error, or change in coding. Fingers crossed. More DPs welcome.

my last one was the 8th, but I am going to watch closely because I have a bunch of payments about to process for 1st of the month bills...

That could be a good plan for getting both the CIU and CIC. I just realized though that I may want to keep one of our CIP's open for receiving 'support'. My dh has a CIP too but I was definitely planning to close his at 1-year so he can be open for the SW biz. Or maybe try to see if he can get approved for three biz cards I need to think on all this more and come up with a plan.

Yeah, I think I caught your post about the SPG Biz approval, but your comparison of Amex to the kindly old neighbor who hands out candy got all my attention. I owe you a belated congratulations!

Probably a good call on the SPG Lux. It would add another personal card to your */24 count while you’re trying to get back under 5/24 to hit those Chase business cards.

As a new card, the SPG Lux will be around for a while should you ever decide to circle back for that once per lifetime bonus. But the $450 AF makes the card somewhat hard to justify right now if you don’t have plans to stay at a Marriott in the next year to use the $300 hotel credit.

Yippee!! I was just instantly approved for my first business card, the CIP with $1,000 in revenue and a $9,000 CL. I was really nervous about applying since I have a "business." I did use a DISChurners support link and I'll PM this person as soon as I post this.

Does someone have the number to call to expedite the card? I want to get start on that $5K MSR as soon as possible. Thanks!

Has anyone made a Plastiq payment using CIP recently? Did it code 3x?

DP this morning about a Plastiq payment posted 8/16 that earned only 1x.

My latest payment was from 8/14, and it coded 3x, but nothing on/after 8/16 yet.

Call 1-800-432-3117 and ask for the card to be expedited.

UGH. I had a Cat 6 and DID upgrade, but debated for a while whether I should upgrade to a Cat 7 or 8. In the end, I upgraded to a Cat 8 and now it looks like I wasted 30K points...

Took a flier when I went for a package, but nonetheless, I am still "happy" about the AS miles, but incredibly annoyed that I wasted 30K points in the process. Any idea if we could still use the cert for Swan/Dolphin during "off peak" since seems to be "max 40K points"?

ETA: Looks like the Cat 6/8 holders are the ones that got intentionally blindsided

Thank you! Yes, taking up a /24 spot for a non-Chase card is one of my reasons for not going for the spg lux. I've got Chase biz cards I want and I hope to DD the CSP/CSR next April or May. I'm currently 5/24, with a cards falling off in 9/18 and 1/19.

I feel like I wasted points by getting a cat 6 instead of cat 1-5. I'm looking at the map trying to find ANYWHERE we might stay for a week in the new cat 1-4.

I had a cat 6 and knew I probably wanted to use it on a higher cat property but didn't know what to upgrade it to. In no way did I think they'd decrease it to the same properties as a cat 1-5 cert. I wasted the extra 30k too. And I don't understand why they didn't post this info prior. There is no way they sat around on Saturday morning and came up with the plan. It was intentional. But why? Why wouldn't they want their customers to be able to plan accordingly. I don't get it. Hopefully the no upgrade thing was false and we can adjust as needed. If there is one thing I don't tolerate it is poor customer service.
