I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Is there a benefit to PC to the OG Freedom? We'll be downgrading DH CSP and trying to decide which to go to.
Yes if Chase offers 5% at warehouses you can use it at Cosco. Otherwise if you don't have a card that gets 3x on dining currently the Flex would be better but it is a MC.
Also if you don't have the Flex you could technically sign up and get the bonus all though obviously it is not very large compared to other offers.
Exactly. We (two player household) already hold the CFF and CFU, so I opted (with the advice from someone here, I think it was @palhockeymomof2 ) for the OG Freedom. It probably won't get used much - if I max out the CFF I will use it. And of course, I will use it at Costco when there is 5%.

If I didn't already hold the CFF, I would have done that for the SUB.

No matter where you end up (sorry haven’t stayed DS hotels so can’t help) I’d book refundable and keep checking back for price drops. If WDW is freaking out* their neighbors might find themselves in the same boat.

*they’re throwing promos out there like a five alarm fire is about to hit the summer balance sheet, all is obviously not well
agreed- Is it weird that I actually prefer the DS location to ASsports? the main drawback to those is parking fee tho and I'm suuuuuper cheap! but I love hanging out at DS at night and easy walk back to my room

There's definitely become a bifurcation in the Orlando hotel market.... We will see how long the demand for the expensive hotels can stay... To me it feels like we are about to reach overcapacity on that front.
same..... hotels near both brands of park are getting :scared1:

For the Hilton Aspire $200 resort credit, does it have to be charged to a room to qualify? That's what I'm seeing in the terms, but didn't know if this was the case in practice. We will be in Orlando next month and I would love to try Bull & Bear, but we're not staying at the Waldorf so would just be paying at the restaurant.

years ago there were rumors that once in a lifetime might actually mean once in 7 years. Not sure if that is still the case.
Lifetime language isn't an issue as I have never received a bonus for the cards I have applied for.
No advice for PUJ. I’m in it too currently. However, you can transfer your wife’s points to your partner accounts ie. Hawaiian. If you have been an AU, or have an employee card for one of her biz accounts she can transfer her points to your loyalty accounts. You have to have had an employee card for 90 days I believe. My husband and I transfer MRs between our loyalty accounts often.
I have an employee card for her BBP so it's good to know I can send her MR points to my accounts.

I'm planning to pc my csr very soon and have just over $6 left of travel credit to use up. Any creative ways to use this if I'm not traveling? I thought about topping up my ezpass, but I already have money sitting there that I won't be using anytime soon, and the minimum is $10. I also thought about Southwest, but I have tons of travel credits already, and with the changes coming, I don't want any more money there either.

I hear you! And today my city announced that a Target store will be built in a new plaza that's coming behind my neighborhood... A walking distance Target has me excited and my wallet terrified, lol
Ha, I have lived walking distance to a Target for 32 years. 10 in our last house, across the street, and almost 23 in this house, it's 1 mile away. I have walked a few times, but rarely. From that distance, even the most mundane purchase (talking to you bananas) get really heavy by the time I get home LOL.

Just buy an Anytime or Biz select southwest fare.
Then wait for it to post.
Wait for the Credit to post.
After you get your $6 credit go into sw and cancel for a full refund to the CSR don't select to get a credit.

This will take less than 10 days I would say.

Charging directly to the restaurant can work, but I think it's more the exception than the rule. I see a DP for the Waldorf Orlando that it did not work. Link

@Minnie368 @Judique

Of course I can't find it now but I had read previously that hotels can set you up a portfolio without checking in so that you can charge spa services or dining to it and then use your credit card to pay the portfolio it codes as the resort and the credits are then applied.

Anyone else remember this and how to do it?

Yes, I've done it at the Waldorf Monarch Beach. You'd contact the hotel (I e-mailed) and say you want to prepay for incidentals. They'd then send you a payment link. Don't forget to tell them how much you want to prepay because I didn't specify and they sent me a link for $400. There's no way to pay less or split the payment.

Another way to use the credit is advance purchase (nonrefundable) for international hotels. Then the charge comes from the hotel and not Hilton corporate. Have done that for the Hilton Tokyo Bay. It took a week or so for the charge to come through.

Thanks!

I knew I had seen it done but couldn't remember how it was set up.

So been getting denied by Chase lately (too much unused credit). Even though, I have closed cards not needed and lowered credit limits. I was denied for a new INK a few months ago and now I receive a mailer with a code to apply for an INK....

Is this a sure thing since it has an offer code or can I be denied on this also...

Has anyone else had trouble using Visa GC to pay their Target RedCard at the desk recently? I have occasionally had issues here and there, but it always worked when I came back to try again. This time, I've had trouble three times in a row now, at two different Targets, and trying with two different Visa GC. The machine beeps when I swipe, but it doesn't go through ( the screen asking for PIN doesn't come up).

I've tried facing the card both ways (strip up and down). My regular debit card worked fine. Anyone else having similar problems?

I don’t have any experience with this but from reading reddit it seems that’s a marketing offer and isn’t a sure thing
You may already be doing this but I find putting spend on my open Chase cards has helped with instant approval

Yeah - I may need to spread out some of the spending on some of the cards I don't use much.

May 2 to 4 Sam's will have $200 Disney gift cards for $180 (limit 4).

I've been stalking Princess' website trying to get a certain category stateroom for my NE/Canada cruise for my mom's birthday. Today there were two available so I grabbed one with an oversized balcony. Now I just need my URs to be refunded so I can transfer it to Chase. I also think I need to buy trip insurance within 14 days to cover my mom's preexisting conditions. I'm assuming CSR insurance isn't enough.

That is the way I have used it at Bull & Bear. We used FN certs to stay at the Waldorf and then the resort credits at Bull & Bear. I am pretty sure I have read where some folks have made it work without it being a room charge but I don't know the specifics.
