Need some advice - have been watching DH's Hawaiian miles account for the 70,000 bonus pts he earned from Barclay card on 1/1/25. Finally looked at the back of the credit card and it has a different (new) Hawaiian number on it! Best way to handle - set up a new login with the new number, or try to get them merged somehow? I feel like it would be weird for him to have 2 separate hawaiian miles accounts, although he hasn't used his older one in 6-7 years.

We are flying to Barcelona via AirFrance in Nov for a cruise but hadn't booked our return flight yet. I transferred 72K URs to Iberia today with the 20% bonus to equal 86,400. It was 43K pp for Biz class, so 72K total URs seemed like a no brainer to me. I've never flown Iberia, but any seat in Biz is better than the best seat in economy IMO!

This happened to me several years ago. I called Hawaiian Airlines and they merged the newly created account into my existing account. I remember it being an easy process. One she had clearly dealt with in the past.

im sure its answered on here, but I couldn't find it If you add an Uber gift card when you have an amex credit, which gets taken first, the gift card or the Amex credit? I.e. should you wait to add a gift card from Costco until AFTER you use your credit?

Can someone remind me if it's not good to pay off balance before statement cycles on a new card or is it just bad to pay off balance in order to reuse credit before the statement cycles?

I pay off my balances several times a month. Been doing this for years and never had a problem (chase, amex, discover).

Yes, Amex credit is always used first. Been that way for me for years

Yeah, if your default payment method is Amex it's fine

Is anyone going for the HH biz card with 175k HH points + FNC? I find it very tempting. Are approvals high for this card? Still have 5 x property tax payments to (more than) meet the $8k SUB over 6 months.

I just booked the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal in Paris for 6 nights (5 nights @ 480k HH points + 1 night using URs) -- cash rate is just shy of $800 / night. I have been checking the Hilton website every day for the past few wks to see if a SLH popped up with a room and this one showed up today. Location seems excellent, quick RER from CDG and in the 1st. Great value, I don't know if I'll spend enough time at the hotel to actually enjoy it though!

Where do you see this? I only see 175k (no FNC) for the Hilton biz card.

I think Amex automatically reallocates CL to approve a card, so you probably don't need to do anything there either.

I can confirm this to be true. My long-time DL Amex, which had a CL of $30k, was reduced to $7k to make room for my new HH Aspire Amex with a $25k CL.

They used to be part of Hyatt Network but moved to Hilton last year and seem to be a pretty good way of getting good value out of Hilton points and FNCs. There are a lot of them in Europe

Does an upgrade count as a credit check?
Do you keep the same card or do they have to change it to a different photo?
Was interested in boosting my disney points for a trip about a year out.

Just got my Hawaiian accounts merged using the chat option on HA's website. Took maybe 30 min with the back and forth, but glad to not have to call. I got it merged to the new number since that's what's on the cc. Plus I saw some DPs where merging to the old account created issues.

I got both the HA personal and biz cards since it's only 1 pull on the same day. They both came with the new number. Glad they were the same new number!

Where do you see this? I only see 175k (no FNC) for the Hilton biz card.

My bad -- wishful thinking I guess. No FNC with the biz card booooo.
