If I want an increase to my credit limit on an AmEx card, what's involved? Can I do that by phone? Is it a pain in the neck? This is a personal card, not a business card.
https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-arrivalso another GE question, some of you here have done the app, and then done a walkin at your airport when landing? How do I find out if that's possible at the airports my friend is going to travel to?
dell only before June? ok. plus $200 airI believe it can be used for United Travel bank based on things I have seen reported, Im sure someone else here can confirm. I did the Delta "hack" and got my $200 travel credit. Before June you can still get $200 at Dell. $10 per month credit for paying cell phone bill. $50 per quarter Hilton (currently GC are still sold out)
They say that the dell credit will end in June. I hope Hilton wasn’t the replacement for it and that we will get something better.dell only before June? ok. plus $200 air
can't use wireless, my ill would go up if I didn't do autopay, although maybe my MIL's lively bill would work. i can switch that.
wonder when/if the hilton gc will be back. although not sure when I'd use them. staying in Hllton this summer but in Europe
still sounds worth it for the year. and I'll probably cancel my personal plat in June when af hits
kind of stinks owing so much in taxes but the sub makes it better!
thank you! Do you know if it can be done on a layover? (still in US but heading out for trip)
Which AP's do you have? Is that the Sorcerer pass renewal? I just activated a certificate for an old platinum pass from 2015 on my last trip. It had cost me $561 including tax back then. Had the photo pass thing on it as well, so it was the equivalent of the Incredipass (says so in MDE) and the photo thing. Now I'm fretting about how to proceed in February of next year when it expires. Meanwhile I now have 4 more trips booked between now and then. Meanwhile MMB gave me the 30 day memory maker and looks like I won't need it this year. Wondering if it will stay on my account after Dec 31?Update - I SM'd from his personal account to have it expedited and that did the trick. It came in yesterday so I have been a busy bee today charging it up. I just got him the $3k MSR card with the $99 AF since we were in a hurry. I renewed our AP's today $2k, purchased MMB $99, bought 24 OTU points for the price of 12 $240, paid our phone bill $250. So less than $350 away from earning CP.
It shows a due date of 5/4/25, no closing date shown yet. Our trip is 5/4/25-5/11/25. I wonder if his CP status will be updated by then so I can cancel my flight and get my RR points back in my account. I am hoping it is instant, as soon as the first statement closes. I can't remember how fast it was 2 years ago when I earned it, but we also weren't in a time crunch like this either.
i'm mulling the amex plat biz offer for 250k as I too owe taxes. probably will do it and then canel personal plat. And, looking at Informed Delivery this morning I have an Amex offer for 175K points on 'something'. Guessing it's the Platinum card. It's almost timely as I've never had a platinum card and I'm getting ready to pay over 8K in taxes.
Will have to decide if I really want to do this. Not time for any Chase events. Not interested in any other offers right now. Considering the Aspire shortly after kicking Surpass to the curb soon. Won't need the Aspire for about 3-4 months, actually don't need it at all just want to diversify a bit.
My understanding is that it has to be as your are going through customs to enter into the US. So, if the layover is International -> US -> US, you would have to do it on the first leg. Otherwise, you aren't in the correct section of the airport to get to the EoA agents.thank you! Do you know if it can be done on a layover? (still in US but heading out for trip)
Next Staples fee free MCs should start 3/23, Visas 3/30Which AP's do you have? Is that the Sorcerer pass renewal? I just activated a certificate for an old platinum pass from 2015 on my last trip. Meanwhile in credit card news I am being hounded by Amex to upgrade my Surpass to an Aspire. Hard no. Unless they come through with a decent points offer to get me an easy free night to go along with the one already coming with the card. But, if not, I'll close the Surpass before next AF and app for the Aspire or I'll try to take it down to the basic card. I need to get rid of some more cards also. I think the Hyatt is on the chopping block since they raised the points needed for the Hyatt Regency MCO. It was useful just for that free night but I can always use UR's if necessary. I culled out a Disney card but have another one ready to go also. My credit line with Chase is way above what people talk about on here and this path should deplete it. They give me smaller lines for UR products but huge lines for other cards.
Also need some Staples fee free visa or MC. Got bills to pay soon. Will drop $200 at a time onto my electric bill for March, April, May, as it will be higher by June so Just put over $950 on my Freedom for the insurance 5%, saved the Amex $20 offer for something else as it's good until December 31. There is a Harris Teeter offer out there that I may do a $500 gc on with Freedom 'if' I'm close to HT soon.
Okay, just musing here so off to do anything.
Thanks! Well, that nixes the electric bill. It's due March 21. The other bill is not due until April 7th.Next Staples fee free MCs should start 3/23, Visas 3/30
I was just going to post thatChase Freedom 2nd Quarter 5x categories Amazon and select streaming services
I need some advice and a place to think out loud with listeners who will chime in with their real life experience, POV’s and opinions.
My husband, BIL and SIL are planning Hawaii and Napa for the fall of ‘26. My husband and I have DVC and BIL and I have Hilton cards so rooms are covered.
The plan is JFK to HNL nonstop in something that is “not economy” (I am not quite clear on which classes are offered). I am trying to figure out my best CC plan for this. We can fly Jet Blue but it will be a Hawaiian plane. Or we could book through Hawaiian. It seems the redemptions are lower booking through Hawaiian vs JB but I dont know if the miles are valued equally. Also, I don't even see a first class option on the JB sight for this flight because JB doesn't have first class (looking at fall of ‘25 for rough idea) so would I even be able to book a first class ticket withJB miles?
My BIL has the Jet Blue card. I was thinking of going for the Hawaiian card BUT, in the long run the JB card may be more valuable as they fly out of my local airport as well as JFK. Everyone talks about how great Alaskan is (now owns Hawaiian I guess) but as an east coaster I dont know how valuable that airline would be for me.
(I have a month or so before I do anything as my husband goofed and put a spend on the wrong card. $100 over credit limit and an 8 goes to a 6 overnight)
WWYD???
