I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Do you guys mean that old magicbands will work for tapping into park, and using LLMP? If so, that's awesome! I have the magic mobile card things in my wallet on my iphone, thinking I would have to use my phone every time to tap in.
100% they work. I don't even have the new MBs because they looks so clunky, my tiny wrists cringe at the thought lol. I've used mine no issues. They will not work at DL, or the new DCL ships as Disney made those tap devices only compatible with the new MBs :sad2:

Magic Mobile is what I used last trip as for the first time every I forgot my MBs. It's very easy, just hold your phone near whatever you'd tap with a MB, give it a few seconds and you're good. It's like Apple Pay, although it will auto select your MM card for you.

Can someone refresh my memory... if I want to transfer URs between spouse accounts, but their account does not show up... how do I get it to? Do I have to call? Or can I SM? Does anyone remember what info they need?

ETA: I read a few blog posts, and I think what I have to do is have my husband call under his account (UGH! no wonder I haven't done this...), and have them add MY card for transfer option. Then I can transfer his URs to my account. I'm getting ready to cancel his CSP in the next few weeks, and want to get his URs to my CIP before then, so I can still have the ability to transfer to Hyatt and such.
Is he canceling the card or downgrading it?
Don't forget he can downgrade it to an original Freedom or Freedom Flex if the 5% categories appeal to you.

Do you have a Freedom/Freedom Flex/Freedom Unlimited/Chase Ink Cash or Chase Ink Unlimited that has no fees that you are more likely to keep?
If so I would have your husband transfer to that card since that number will be linked on his profile incase you close your CIP to get another CIP bonus down the road.

I was going to cancel the card, but maybe I'll look into the original Freedom card... neither of us has one of those. Does it get the same 5% categories as the Freedom Flex? PC'ing just requires another call, and UGH it's difficult to get him on board for those, lol. Whereas cancelling I can do by SM, and he never has to be involved, haha.

Good idea about the card to transfer to! I do have a Freedom Flex on my account that has been open many years and I intend to keep. When we call I'll have them add that number, and then I can just transfer to my CIP internally, if and as needed. I do intend to cancel my CIP at the one year mark (which will be in Sept), as I'll hopefully have another CSP in my name by then.

It is basically the same as the Flex but there are a few differences.

1x on everything (Flex has 3x on dining and drugstores?)
5x categories are the same.
Visa not Mastercard (This is great if they bring back the 5% at Warehouses like they did in 2023 as Costco only takes Visa, though you can use the Flex at Costco.com)

Trust me I know it is a pain to have P2 call but it could be worth it :)

This is what we do we transfer to from P3 to P1's card and P2 to a different P1 card and then transfer internally to my CSR.

I've done it via SM before, but it was a long time ago. SM was sent under the account the points were in and I gave the full account number of where I wanted the points to go.

Add me to the list of instant Chase biz denials. I apped for CIP
Only 2 open chase cards, a CIP and IHG biz
No Chase biz cards since August 2024
3/24

"We're unable to approve your application. You'll receive a letter with more information about our decision in 7-10 days."
Will wait for letter explaining denial.

Sorry about the denial. :(

If you closed a Chase biz card, how long ago was that? How low is your total Chase CL?

Looks like I closed a CIP on 1/3/25, so about two weeks ago.
CL across biz and personal only 36k and well well below 50% of income.

That all looks good. Guess approval is unpredictable even with only 2 open now. Though holding out hope that it's just identify verification for you.

Closed one recently for DH and he's up next. Guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and try.

That's not an instant denial though. I've gotten that before and then been approved for a biz card.

May be some sort of verification, as crazy as that sounds since you have Chase business cards. I’d also check your Chase online account because sometimes the send the letter there as well

Yeah, I had a TIN verification letter a week ago for my CIC app, missed a phone call from Chase toll free number yesterday, and they just posted a letter to my account asking me to call them. I have massive anxiety about this!

"When we can verify the information that we need, we'll continue our review."

Edit - called this morning. They wanted to make sure it was really me applying (!) (I sent the paper last week verifying my SSN.) So he sent a text to my phone, asked again for my full name, put me on hold, asked if it was a sole proprietor, verified mother's maiden name, then told me I had to wait up to 5 more days. At first it sounded like he was going to give me an approval, then changed his mind. Guess I will have to keep an eye on my online account for more info.

UK ETA requirement for transiting passengers has been paused.

If you're not staying in the UK and just connecting through to another destination, never going through immigration, then you don't need the ETA for now.

However, following feedback from the aviation industry, the government has agreed a temporary exemption for passengers who transit airside, and therefore do not pass through UK border control.

This move will primarily affect Heathrow and Manchester airports, as the only UK airports which currently offer transit facilities. The exemption will be kept under review.

Most stories are stating Apr 2 for the effective date of this change.

Starting on 2 April 2025, all arrivals in the UK, except British and Irish citizens, UK visa holders, and those remaining in “airside” transit, will need an ETA.

One news story covering the update as well as the future fee change to £16 that was approved:

Not an expert - but have getting these in between Chase Cards. (AMEX mostly hates us too).
Me - March Triple Cash, April Biz Alt Connect and October Triple Cash again
DH - July Triple Cash, August Biz Alt Connect and November Trip Cash again.

All with high credit limits.
What do the points translate into for the biz connect?

That’s what they did to DH last week for SWA biz, he called twice to verify his identity, then in the end they still denied him for having too much CL so I closed one account and lowered another account’s CL, freeing up $18k in CL. Will apply again in 30 days. Hopefully that will work. Really need this SWA biz for CP.

Can we still sm to close a chase biz card? I see I got my ink cash 10/23 so it's over a year old.

What do the points translate into for the biz connect?
The points can be used to book travel or I can use as a statement credit (which I will probably do). They also can be transferred to a US Bank Bank Account. Thinking of maybe opening an account for DH just to transfer the $$. Not sure yet...

What do the points translate into for the biz connect?

The points are worth 1 cent per point (60k SUB is $600). Far as I know, there isn't any way to get more value than that.

Points post at statement close, so I go and apply them as a statement credit to the last MSR statement before the payment is due. Usually I don't end up with a credit on my account unless the last statement is too low.

The Connect biz and Triple Cash biz need to be redeemed in increments of $25, so you'll end up with leftover amounts. These can be used up on Amazon with pay with points. The Leverage biz doesn't have the increments and can be used up directly ($25 minimum redemption).

The Triple Cash biz SUB is elevated at $750 for the same $6000 spend as the Connect biz.

Instant approval for an Amex bbp. Not too exciting but I could use more mr and like the 2x back for non cat spend when I'm between subs.

Trying to be mindful of future trip plans and what I'll need past this year and next. Hard being only a P1.

And being able to close the ink will let me app for that when I'm done with this spend. I got my last chase card in Sept and will only have 2 of their biz card then do hopefully that'll help.
