It will only credit if United is your selected airline. Here is the link to UTB https://www.united.com/en/us/fly/account/travelbank.html

No need to set anything up, just go to the link, log in with your United credentials, click fund my travel bank. It may make you sign in a second time. Select the purchase amount of $100. Add the card you wish to use to pay and associated details, then click purchase now. Do it a second time for another $100. Repeat the same thing in January. Within a couple of minutes you will have it loaded. When you are logged into your account you will see how much is in your travel bank to use.

Here is a pretty decent article on United Travel Bank https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/travel/united-travel-bank-what-to-know
Thanks. I will look into this!

Just got 2 emails from Chase that we redeemed the restaurant offer, for our purchases on 2/9. I did another Starbucks reload on 2/12, so we'll see. I'm still thinking glitch and they will reappear.

DP: I am on my second renewal. No interview needed and I received my new card shortly after the online approval.

Applied for GE about 3 weeks ago and still pending. Is this typical for a new applicant? It is difficult to tell from what I read as some seem to get conditional approval in less than 2 weeks. The wait is a bit stressful for me.

I had the Chase restaurant credit on 4/5 of my cards, just looked, all gone now, grrrr.

When I applied, my husband and son applied at the same time. One was conditionally approved in a couple days, the second in a week and the third in 6 weeks. Luck of the draw I guess.

Maybe there's hope for the 2 purchases I did on 2/10, just one day after yours. I'll report back if I get anything from Chase, but as of now they've disappeared, no email, and don't show under Redeemed.

Yeah Chase offers have been a bit weird lately. I did use the food credit and it posted a week later.
However I had a phone alarm/reminder today to use Chase offers. I went on my account right now
and there was nothing in my added! I don't even remember what they were. lol

I wonder if these offers are getting extremely popular. Up until last year I ignored them. However
with inflation and every SINGLE thing we use/buy gone up I look for ANY discount.
Since I'm rarely the one paying, as DD uses Door Dash to get us our Thursday to Saturday food, (Hello Fresh Sun to Wed) I somewhat proudly told her that I would pickup lunch today (Chik Fil A) and probably use the other offers in the next few days. I would just order x amount and pay separately for 2-3 offers to credit. She hates picking up food unless its Texas de Brazil which she loves and I tolerate, and I don't mind at all. I think it's a Gen Y/Boomer thing.

Well, that went caput!

Looking for some insight/tips/advice. Family of 4 going to Canada in fall or late summer. These are
my options for tickets 10k points plus $25 each transferring UR to Aeroplan . Or 13.8K each plus
5.60 each to transfer UR to United and book that way. The flights are both on Air Canada.

So cost is 40k Aeroplan+ $100 or 55.2K United and $22.40.

As someone who rarely flies either (and never have transferred) which would you do?
Thank you for any help!

Open the Chase Aeroplan card and get 60K aeroplan points for $4000 spend and $95 annual fee.

I thought about that but by the time I spend that to get the points Im afraid the tickets will cost
much more. I'm also currently working on 6k Amex platinum spend. I have been thinking about
that card for next year though .Is 60k the highest they have gone (without the 2nd spending tier)?

Thx!

I'm still waiting to hear from Chase on why my statement didn't close on Feb 7 like it should have. I've looked at the account a bit more and while I still see a closing date of Feb 7 if I look at the rewards activity it says the pending points will be available Feb 22. All my other cards have the same date for the closing date and the pending points becoming available. Which is what you would expect. Weird situation but as long as my points become available by Feb 22 I'll be happy.
Did you ask to change to your statement due date or closing date ?

I do remember requesting a change for a few cards so this one might have been one of them. What doesn't make sense is if I did request a change it would have been a due date of the 16th like my other cards. Wouldn't that be a statement close of the 19th the month before?

My husband, 2 adult children, and I all applied over the last 4-5 months (when we could get the credit from new credit cards) and we all got conditionally approved within 2 days, I literally got approved the next morning.

My Dad applied for GE on 1/13/2023 and his application is still pending. You reminded us to just check again. We had to pay the $100 for him as we used up all the credits we had available. My Mom will not even apply (would have to also pay OOP) until he gets his conditional approval. My parents ALWAYS travel together, so no point of potentially having only one them with GE.

Mom will only apply for GE early if she has a GE credit to use up...

Good Luck to you!! Hopefully, there is just a back up and we all get conditionally approved soon!

On my CIC the closing date is 6 days after the due date
