Here is some history from DOC. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/staples-no-purchase-fee-on-200-visa-gift-cards-10-31-11-6-limit-5/
Looks like he wasn’t tracking MCGC as that link only showed a July date and I know there were other more recent offers.

I would add to this info, and I don't track it, but I don't buy too many at a time, really just to pay thats months utilities and I've never had a problem having one or the other. I would say it works out to every other week they offer one or the other. Now sometimes, like this past week and this week, they are offered back to back. That's just my very unscientific research! :rotfl2:

I have a friend with some Marriott points about to expire and she wants to gift them to me so they don't go to waste. I don't typically stay at that hotel chain, but I do from time to time. It's not many points, just a little over 4,000, but every bit helps. I saw where they can be transferred to SWA points, which I would definitely utilize, but on the site it says "MOST" airline partners names much match on both accounts to do the transfer. Is SWA one of those airlines or would I just be better off transferring the points to my Marriott account instead?

New chairs came today. Really pleased with the new look. And Walmart was fast and had a great price on the chairs. Still have the old table in the kitchen. Hoping dd can take it apart when she comes home on Friday.

And I hit my msr on my new Amex Hilton card so I now have 138k Hilton points. Now I’m working on my $15k msr on my Amex Bbp. Next week my crv will be in so we’ll see how much of the down payment I can put on a card.

I would be surprised if you can transfer from your friend's Marriott account to your SW if that's what you meant. I think what they mean by most need names to match is how much of an exact match it needs to be (with/without middle name, Kathy vs Kathleen, etc). I don't think they mean a completely different person.

It would be easier to transfer to your Marriott account. That is allowed and free. You could then transfer to your SW account if you wanted to.

Thanks! That’s what I wanted to know!

I had an Amex offer for $5 off $15 at Uber Eats (use up to 5x by 12/31).
Nice! Nothing here but my phone and cable credits credited for a final total of $75 in credits using 2 offers and 2 cards. My Amex offers are crediting in 1-2 days. Wish Chase would get with that program and credit a bit faster. I hover, waiting to pay the bills.

Does Delta have any sweet spots? I have 40K miles in my delta account and no plans on how to use them.

Delta will offer some great deals some times. But I am in a hub/base. I know I score my return flight from CHS to DTW 3 days before flying back for 7.5k miles! I think RT from DTW to CUN I had last year for like 20k.

Just booked an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Disney Fantasy for dd's 2024 spring break. Still trying to use up gift cards from canceled Covid cruises. This will also be celebrating me finishing my Master's (only 13 more months!). Costco travel was surprisingly fast this morning.

Two questions...
If I transfer MR's to Bonvoy, it will extend our current points? Purchasing points would also?

This I asked before, got lost in the shuffle. I cancled my Venture X, which is where my priority pass membership was from. I just got a new card in the mail, and when I login it says my membership expires 12/7/23. Do you think I am really good to use it until then? Not that I have used it yet LOL.

there is some deals going to NYC (all airports) it seems random though Im already going to NYC next year or id book.
Interesting. Did some quick searches and NYC is cheaper than any other location I looked.
Looking for something over fall break and NYC was the cheapest, looked at DC, San Diego, Seattle. Thanks for sharing, could use our Delta miles to fly into JFK and use SW to LGA to home. For hotels probably Hyatt.

I am not certain, but I think someone reported their PP membership remained in effect after they cancelled their premium card. @LilSweetPeaPhoto was that you?

Dis+ subscribers- please help me out here with some calculations- so I have an amex offer of spend 12.99/mo,get $7 back for 12 months..... can I combine a yearly sub using my amex, with the ibotta which is at 15% cb today, and get the year for effective cost of 48.88? I'm calculating 12.99x12=155.88 -15%($23)=132.88-amex credit ($84) =48.88? Thanks...
