If I wanted to transfer Chase URs to SW Rapid Rewards, how long should I expect the transfer to take, in your experience? It might be worth it if I can get both a hotel and flights on points and then we wouldn't have to worry about parking at all. I have an RR account with absolutely zero points in it!

I need 27,038 RR points to book these flights that I want which I assume would be 27,038 URs.

Also- my husband has his own RR account that does have a few miles on it. Is it better for him to book separately or does it not matter since no points would be earned on such a flight?

The transfer should be immediate. You might need to log out and log in again. I think you’ll need to transfer a rounded up number like 27,100.
Does your DH have UR points to transfer? If yes, maybe book them both there and you can transfer less. Otherwise it doesn’t matter. I always book separate one ways to make changes potentially easier.

I'll have him check in a little bit.. he might have already transferred to me recently.

I see the fares went down a bit from when I looked yesterday so it would be nice if we could take advantage of that.

And thank you for reminding me about booking one ways... I had read that before but fly so infrequently that I had forgotten!

Does your DH have a CSP/CSR/CIP? He'll need one of those to be able to transfer to SW.

Flights booked; thank you so much! Transfer from Chase URs to SW RR was instantaneous!

Next question: Is your experience also that transfers are instant from Chase URs to IHG and Wyndham?

And if I do book direct via Chase travel because it's significantly fewer points than transferring and booking with the hotel, what do I need to look out for? **EDITING AGAIN**- so if I go directly to the Wyndham site it tells me my selected hotel has a two night minimum, but it DOES show available for only one night through the Chase portal. Is this a red flag?

My Barclays statement closes the 19th and I can book my return the 21st. Let's hope they transfer the miles to AA at the same time and not in their 6 to 8 weeks. They are showing with Barclays.

I think mine showed up on AA the day or day after the statement closed. I'd be curious when you get your $95 credit if your offer includes that.

I've SM'd twice with no success (though it seems to work for some). First time they told me it's a known issue and they're fixing it. A month later still no credit and I SM'd again. Only to have the terms of the offer reiterated back to me. 🙄

It didn't, I had to pay the af as part of the offer posting. I also don't remember, can't find my biz offer and didn't see anything in the papers about the $95 on that offer. Seems like maybe it did but since I'm not positive I haven't reached out
Figure they'll eventually get it sorted out and if I get it great. I'm guessing it didn't include it though since I normally keep the pic/screenshot of the offer until I get it which means I deleted it when I got the miles.

If you have the 80k offer then I think it includes the $95 credit.

I wasn't going to SM at first, thinking that they'll eventually fix it. But it's been so long that I'm starting to question that. It's been 5 months since they first offered this and over 3 months since I met MSR.

I met MSR in first month and had to pay the AF in month one. I SM’ed about the credit and they said it was a known issue. Second month bill came, still no credit. I SM again, and they refunded it on the third month’s bill. It is really annoying.

It has been a terrible 24 hours, the watermain in our front yard bursted, we live on a hill and our house sits down partially in the hill. Thousands of gallons of water were pouring out onto our property. Water went through the foundation and our insurance won't cover it (water seeping through the foundation is excluded from pretty much every policy, so I've learned). I will file a tort claim with the city but we probably won't win (it took them an hour to get here and turn it off, they did their due diligence).
We need new floors so I'm not worried about that cost, I'm worried about what the long-term damages the excess water will create - how much will our foundation move with all the soil movement?

I just want to lay in bed and cry all day, but I don't want to be home to remind me of the damage.

This is credit card related because we'll be able to meet some MSRs pretty fast.

Before I book, a United question. Fully refundable economy flights on United - I am assuming that means fully refundable and if I cancel I get funds returned not a credit to use later. Is that right? Also does it matter if it is cash or if I book through CSR portal with URs? There are no good flights on miles or I'd transfer URs to United and book.

I have never flown to Australia but I just booked a DCL transpacific cruise from Sydney to Honolulu for Feb 2024. I’ll need to book one ways for the two of us from Houston to Sydney. Right now I have about 400,000 UR’s, 113,000 MR’s, 95,000 United Miles and 400,000 Cap One points. What would be the best way to book using points? Of course would love a lie flat seat due to the long journey. I’m open to applying for an Amex biz card to earn more MR’s. I’m currently 4/24 until June 2023. My last card was a CIU in July.

I broke down and finally SMd late last week for mine. (Never contacted them before. Kept waiting for them to fix the "known issue" :rolleyes2 )
No acknowledgement of the SM but I did get the credit in a few days after. I don't know if it's any different if it's credited automatically or not but they're taking -95 AA miles back for it. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2

I have no plans to use the card again so I'll give them something. This is the company that keeps mailing me paper notices when I have a statement to tell me that my statement is paperless and I can view it online...

I got my 80k for the biz card back in July. I've seen mixed reports like all of these on r/churning too. Part of why I figured I'd just wait. I'll worry about it after I get the 50k I need.

I have seen Boardwalk Ticketing mentioned on these boards for tickets before. They are legit right?
