I FINALLY received my Chase AP MasterCard yesterday. Immediately went to Plastiq to pay dd's tuition. Payment won't go through -- check CL and it's $25,900 (will have to SM to lower this insanely high limit). Try again -- denied again. Call Chase and the CSR tells me that person-to-person payments aren't allowed. Is this new? I met MSR with Chase cards 3 times (in 2020 and 2021).
I ended up using my new AmEx Cobalt card (Cdn).
Interesting, when I called Chase the CSR put me through to a supervisor (just a 1 hour wait
). The supervisor was explaining to me that it's not Chase denying the payment, it was the school. He was explaining that it's in how they (the school) codes payments and what they allow. Ummm if that's the case then why was my AmEx payment allowed?
Does anyone know if Plastiq is dead for Chase payments? I have a $1,700.00 utility bill due at the end of the month and property taxes coming up March 1st, but if Chase doesn't allow Plastiq I'll need to source another way to use my Visa to pay. Or could it be that the AP card is MC not Visa?
