I've recovered! The tile guy who is super nice swears this has never happened before.

And I'm trying to find the plot plan for my house. I have to submit a modification form to replace my existing 4' wood picket fence which is falling apart with a 4' wood picket fence. I'm not amused.

Well just because I care about this one so had a reminder. Hoping to start traveling again, or at least book one flight, can't book the return because they moved the date up to 6/4. But who needs return flights?!
We have a possible trip planned to DLR starting 6/3 or 6/4 too. No return. Maybe we'll stay in SoCal if we ever get there. UK trip is now not looking good.

Is anyone in this group familiar with transferring Capital One points to one of their loyalty programs? Air France is one of the 15 airlines and I’m trying to book a one way flight from Paris to Houston in September nonstop on points. I’ve only used UR points to transfer to United so far and I know once transferred, I can’t transfer UR points back. Points transfer 1:1. I’ve been sitting on over 350,000 Cap One points for almost 2 years (earned from a Biz card in 2020). Only recently redeemed 21,000 points to wipe out a $210 last minute RT flight for my son from Orlando to Houston on United. That was super easy! Also, are you able to see how many miles are needed on Air France without actually having any points?

yes, AF and United is the same for both when it comes to finding and booking award flights. shouldnt be a huge difference besides looks and taxes and difference in miles.
UR also transfer into AF too so u can combine points in both to make a big redemption.

So we just got the request for additional documents letter for P2's Southwest Biz application (glad to see that it wasn't a denial letter)! They are requesting "proof of legal name for business." P2 applied as a sole proprietor using his social security number. What would be appropriate to send back to them? Would his driver's license suffice? Is it worth calling them to clarify?

so I searched the forums couldn't find it but I'm planning Disneyland Paris does it count for any bonus categories (for the tickets)? maybe CSR 3x?

I have a question about Hyatt stays booked on points. I have an upcoming stay where the cancelation policy states "Two Night Deposit at Booking.for Refund Cancel 7 Days Prior To Arrival" (this is copied and pasted). No two-night deposit was ever taken (I booked this last year), so that makes me wonder about the validity of the rest of the statement. Will it really be a full refund if canceled 7 days prior to arrival? Any chance of a full refund less than 7 days prior to arrival? The resort has been sold out for months. Is Twitter Hyatt Concierge the best way to find out?
I'm coming back to report on my question. I reached out to Twitter Hyatt Concierge, and @wanderlust7 is right - if I cancel within 7 days of arrival, I will be assessed a $CASH$ penalty equal to two nights (based on an average current daily rate for my room type) but I would get my points back. It's definitely something to be aware of when using points for these really expensive redemptions, where the cancelation deadline is more than the usual 24-48 hours prior to arrival.

His DL should be fine assuming he just used his legal name as the business name

Question since I'm such a newbie to doing taxes outside of escrow......

My taxes are due late Jan I think. I already bought Visa Gift Cards (to hit my CIC spend). They are just sitting in a drawer. Is there any reason not to just pay the taxes now? I have the money sitting in "my escrow account" (aka, a bank account I'm earning a bonus on). I haven't paid off the VCGs on the CIC yet since I have 0% for a year.

Just trying to figure out all this adult crap, LOL. Yesterday I was talking to my 16yo about mortgages and other financial stuff. She was like I DO NOT WANT TO BECOME AN ADULT. I laughed and said neither do I, LOL.

I think someone here stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai this year, but I can't remember who it was. If anyone has stayed there lately would you mind PM'ing me? I'd really appreciate it - I have some questions.

Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

My dishwasher just died (water all over my kitchen floor) and most of the consumer reports recommended dishwashers are out of stock or back ordered. The ones still available are really expensive. I'm seriously considering not replacing it until the supply issues are resolved.

I realize the rental car issue, but wow, booking a rental shouldn't be the most time consuming part of planning a trip. I currently booked through costco and will keep checking until my trip in March. There and the chase portal, since I have csr travel credit left. The amex portal is currently enough more it negates the difference in the 200 credit and what's left of the csr, plus I'd rather use my csr for the rental.

I do have some hope of prices going down after reading the transportation board, though that is all orlando evidence, and also saw car rental savers and how you get their confirmation and the car rental place, so like you get with costco. I tried googling it for reviews and they were almost all disney related message boards. Has anyone used them?

For those with the Aspire, when does the resort credit hit after your anniversary. I got the card 8/23 and my hopeful stay at TDLR hilton is 8/29-9/2 so I'd like it to work for that. But if it doesn't post until your statement date after your anniversary, I'm not sure how it will work. My current statement was oct 23 to nov 22.

I'll be able to use my current credit in March, but may not use all of it which will probably just complicate everything. But if I know I'll get the next one and be able to use it for TDLR then I'll make sure to use most/all of it in March :)

It resets on the anniversary of your account opening date. So you should use all of your current year's credit in March, then next year's at TDLR.

Yikes. I've been using mine almost daily since 3/2020. I know when mine goes it's getting replaced with a Bosch 800 series. I do see some of those available. But they're not inexpensive. And I had no clue dishwashers were an issue. I'd probably wait to and get what you want. But I also wonder when these supply chain issue will be resolved because it's feeling like things are not getting any better.

My vote is get what you want and if you have to wait for it, so be it.

We replaced ours about four years ago with a Bosch and I would buy it all over again. Even if I had to wait for it. It's one of the few purchases that I've made that I would do all over again. It wasn't cheap but we use ours at least once a day, sometimes twice a day. It's so quiet you don't even know it's on.

So I would take your time, decide what you want and if its not available either wait till it is or order it. I'm over getting things just to get by, I usually end up hating those purchases!
