I do get up early but I never know when target will drop. i guess I just need to check every day. I can’t find a way to join a waitlist at Best Buy.
Check out KillerCam on Twitch. He runs a free live tracker bot that sounds an alarm when one of the tracked sites drops. You have to have be ready to jump when you hear the alarm. Have all the store site product pages bookmarked on your computer with payment methods saved so you are ready to go immediately when you hear the alarm. There are usually credible rumors ahead of time, but sometime it is completely random. Last year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas I had his site on in the background almost 24 hours a day (sometimes literally slept with it by my bed if a drop was expected). I was able to get multiple XBox and PS5 for people. If you follow the tracker regularly, you will get the hang of it and should be able to get one easily before Christmas. You might have to buy a bundle but you can always sell the stuff you don't want. And you'll earn points when you do score it!

I made my first UR redemption by booking 2 Business class tix to Paris for next August on Air France. I used slightly more UR so I could book the ticket from my home airport rather than having to position to a bigger city. It was 156K for both tix and I felt that was a decent rate based on my month plus watching fares. Transferring miles to Flying Blue went smooth, but the website would not let me book the tix. I had to call but was able to book via phone no problem. I am so excited to take my oldest nephew on his first trip to Europe and surprise him with the business class seat. Now I just have to find a return flight from Rome.

Anyone with a CSR having issues with room availability at the Waldorf or Signia Bonnet Creek on the travel portal? The dates will show availability and pricing, but when you click on it I'll get messages like "no available rooms for 5 people" but if I change to a fewer number I still get some other error message...

My SW return flight in Dec. dropped to $39/1899pt. I just called and got back 4,000pts for our family of 5:banana:

Good news- I knocked out my MSR on my Amex platinum with our new mattress purchase.
Bad news- DH saw a bedroom set he loves and now we are trying to decide if we should spend an extra $4,000-$5,000 right now when we didn’t plan on getting new furniture for around a year. We have never had a real set, just grab a piece at like IKEA or Target over the years so we are due.
We bought our house 4 years ago and need to redo it everything. Next up was the master bathroom. So we can use that money and pause the bathroom redo until maybe summer-ish?
Im kind of thinking the bedroom set might be better since it will give me tons more storage and less crap floating around my bedroom.

Ugh, so hard to decide. I hate spending money.

Were these TFs that would have expired earlier and were extended to 9/22? There were reports that those TFs resorted to their original expiration date once booked and then changed. No idea if it's still happening but I recall that was an issue previously.
Yikes....maybe that's what's in the back of my memory somewhere as a point to remember...yes they were extended. I'll keep that in mind if something comes up. I think it was originally booked in fall of 2019 for spring '20 trip that couldn't happen....I didn't know she had TF or I would have had her convert them to points last year when SWA offered that option...

is the chase app # not a thing anymore? I called and got what sounded like the regular callin spiel...so I hung up....still nothing on my app from 10 days ago....just silence,no sm no letter....

What cards can I PC to a CSR and would it make sense to do it? I know I can use the $300 travel credit for part of my trip to Disney and Universal next year. Then the 1.5 on the Chase portal for my Universal trip might make it worth it. We would be buying tickets and getting a room at the Royal Pacific. I have a CF, CFF, Disney, SW Priority (will keep to use the SW credit and upgraded boarding next year), and IHG (just opened a few months ago). My wife has a Disney, SW (less than a year old), and a CSP (less than a year old).

I would go CF as it’s a Visa, right? You should be able to use it right away. I wouldn’t wait too long to book as the portal could change anytime.

One of my CICs has an offer for Office Depot - 5% back up to $7.50 cash back. Pairs well with the $15 back on $300 in VGCs going on at OD right now! (This is a new offer - I had it a few weeks ago too.)

Yeah, I got it on my new CIC for 10% that I'm meeting the MSR on :) So daily trips to OD is my fun this week, LOL. I think today I'm gonna try to hit the one by school and home. I think I have $2k left roughly to meet my $7500 spend. I could knock that out this week w/ the OD offer. I figure might as well get this one out of the way getting 5x points while I'm at it, LOL.

I had the offer on almost all of my cards, even my 16yos debit card for her HS checking had the 10% offer, LOL.

It’s on P2’s CSP (in addition to several of my cards) that needs about $300 more to meet MSR anyway. While the 10% only applies to a small portion, that’s ~$10 free money that also gives me the freedom (pun intended) to put the CSP away and use the higher yielding CFU going forward.
