Platinum/Saks AU question: If one of my AU's goes to Saks and spends $50, will it trigger the refund, or does it have to be done with the original account?

I am Globalist but when I chatted with Hyatt I was told I was only allowed to advance 1000 points or a minimal amount. I would need to essentially have all of the points to make the reservation.

I did it through the Twitter Concierge and was advanced the entire amount for 2 reservations. The 1000 points advance is what everybody gets, there is no limit for Globalist.

Oh, hey, something I wanted to share from our trip to Disney. We did the Lightening Lane for Remy's. It was ridiculously easy to just hit that button and be done. It could be way too addictive. Seems like this is demand based pricing. Paid $11 pp. So for $44, I was happy not to screw around with being in the park at exactly 1pm, etc, etc. The next afternoon I saw it was available for $9 pp. What was nice about the LL was that we could easily coordinate with our dinner times, so we selected a 5-6 pm window for Remy and then headed over to dinner at Hacienda after that.

But we also got into the afternoon virtual queue, so there's hope for those who don't wish to expedite things. By the time our queue boarded, we were headed to the airport though, so we didn't get a second ride in.

We used it a ton last week. It worked well for us.

It let you advance all the way to booking or did you have to talk with someone? I get a pop up when I attempt to book that says I am unable to proceed with the reservation because I do not have enough points.

I called the Globalist line and they did the booking for me. The girl was super helpful. Of course, I think I am canceling now so we don’t need to take 3 COVID tests at the tune of $900. The US is free but St. Kitts is charging $150 per person and you have to be tested upon entry even though you need to vaccinated and have a negative test to enter the country. Just crazy!

I used a Chase offer for Best Buy and also for Michaels on Sunday to pick up two Disney GCs. I just got my statement and was reconciling when I realized that both charges are no where to be found for that card. I got the alert that the charges were made and already transferred the money to my main GC. Neither charge is pending either. This is so weird and has never happened to me before. Not sure what is going on.

Chase charges tend to disappear for a bit between pending and post. Sounds like they missed the statement, but should show up as posted soon.

We are at WDW this week and I charged $400 at Publix on Sunday …I check my accounts every morning and it did the same thing

In the past I’ve noticed charges disappear for a day between pending and posting on my Chase business cards, but not my personal….but ..I’m sure it will show up eventually

Did you look under everything? Furniture, dog bed etc? His toy box or other open things he could drop it in or in shoes?

Dude's never hidden stuff, he just leaves it in the open destroyed. Thabkfully it's been years since he's done it.

DS and I both checked and double checked the sectional. This morning I decided to triple check. Yep. Deep in between 2 of the pieces, there they were. Luckily, unharmed. Crisis averted.

It's done it on my Chase cards as well. I've got one that is even weirder though. My wife is at a hotel for a work trip that we are going to be reimbursed for. All week the available balance has been showing $1,100 less than what subtracting the balance from from the CL would indicate. But no pending charges were listed. Today the full CL is showing as available, she just checked out and the final bill was $905. I'm surprised Hyatt released the hold before the final charge. And that Chase doesn't show the hold at all.

Budget car rental is over $100 cheaper for an SUV for our trip next month. We almost always use Alamo. Anyone use Budget? I really like the option to pick my own vechicle( especially since I’m looking to buy a new SUV this year and can pick something on my possible list)
But saving almost $150 for a car we use like 20 minutes a day sounds pretty good.

We've used Budget so many times. It usually comes down to between Alamo and Budget for us, as we've found they've always been the cheapest for our trips. Never had an issue with either. If I had to guess, we've used Budget a dozen or so times.

The skip the desk option is so nice with Alamo. I would just be prepared for the wait in line at the Budget counter. They always seem to have one. But I would definitely make the switch. That’s quite a few extra snacks.

Question for Delta flyers. My brother and SIL called and want to take DD20 to Nashville in December for like 4 days. They want to go back to see Christmas Stuff and Grand Old Opry Christmas. They know DD loves country music and wants to go to Nashville. They asked DS22 too but he has no interest in that kind of thing... So, they are going to take me also. They are paying for everything.

My brother gets a boatload of points with Menards travel program (he is a contractor) so I am sure they will book the flights through that company and they always fly Delta. I have the Delta CC that gets me free checked bags. If they put my Delta Rewards # down on the reservation when they book - will that get us all a free checked bag.

Just wasn't sure how that worked if I did not book the flights.

Yes. As long as the flights are all booked under one reservation if anyone in the group has a delta card everyone gets a free bag up to like 8 people.

Make sure you sign up for Budget Fast Break (I think that's the name). Put the number on your reservation. Allows skip the line at least but not picking your car.
A couple things about Budget, they tease you when you're looking at prices by not including taxes and fees until the end (unless your looking at them on Costco). Also, I hate their toll policy. Once you use it, it is charged per day even if you don't use a toll. So, be careful with that.

We had a horrible experience with Budget once, so we have yet to try them again. But lot's of other people use them just fine

Anyone have the Alaskan BofA card? I just found out Alaskan Airlines is coming to Cleveland and we are planning a cruise next Sept. (with the Amex credit on RC of course). Looks like a good deal, 50K miles with $2 spend and a CP for $99. I just know virtually nothing about this airline or the CP so looking for some input if anyone has any.

I had it for a while, but wasn't flying often enough to keep it. What was good about it was that I didn't have to pay the $20/checked bag fee. Between that and the companion airfare, it might be worth it to get for a flight or two and then cancel. I've started flying with them again, but only solo and I don't have any checked bags. If I start needing to check bags or flying with another passenger, I'll probably get the card again.

Question regarding authorized users. I don't see a way to remove them online. Is it easy/quick to do this by phone? I have lots of cards and several with auth users that don't use the cards.

DD is trying to set up her Chase online account for her new Chase Freedom student and when she puts in the account number and her ssn, it tells her the info. is invalid. Told her she would have to call. She's not a talk on the phone person, so this should be interesting.
