Question, if reserve a room with points now, when I get my FNC can I call Hyatt to switch one of the nights from points to the FNC?

I know with Hilton you can only do this if there is still standard night availability. Is Hyatt the same?

I think there needs to be award availability to do the swap. But there might be more leeway for exceptions where Hyatt asks the hotel to put the award booking back into inventory.

Was it a partner flight booked with AA miles? I read that those you have to call to reinstate the miles. Curious if that's correct since I'll need to cancel a BA flight.

No - it was a regular AA flight that I booked on the AA app.

Hyatt FNC experts!

Question, if reserve a room with points now, when I get my FNC can I call Hyatt to switch one of the nights from points to the FNC?

I know with Hilton you can only do this if there is still standard night availability. Is Hyatt the same?

I was able to do it with my 3 night booking. I had my concierge apply my FNCs to 2 of the nights and then received my points back immediately. (I did not check to see if they still had point availability.)

I say before. My mom gave me my mine before and I wore it to the ceremony. It'll look nice in pictures.

After the ceremony is usually chaos and excitement and friends, before would give you a nice quiet moment to celebrate as a fam.

I didn’t have time to wait for them, we didn’t find out until 3pm for our 6:30 flight. I booked something on our own because we needed a place to go. Saving all receipts.

That really stinks. Have you talked with a Southwest agent? They may be able to provide you with lodging.

Interesting. My miles didn’t go back into my account, and their website says you have to call to ask that they be refunded. That’s also what the AAdvantage customer service desk told me, and what two different agents told me via chat. It wasn’t until the second chat agent put in the refund request that I got my miles back. Not doubting what you are saying at all, just sharing what I’ve experienced and was told.

Thanks to the replies about college tuition and credit cards. I just checked with my kids' college and they don't take credit cards at all! What a bummer! It would have been so nice if I could charge their tuition,room and board!

Any suggestions on a first credit card for them? They are currently AU on my amex plat, amex gold, hyatt visa and freedom MC. I probably should cancel some of their AU accounts, right? Thanks in advance.

Well I hit the FD on the way to the beach this afternoon. I only did 1-$200 load as the woman behind me was LITERALLY up my ***! If I turned around, I swear I’d be close enough to kiss her. I’m not a germaphobe. And it has nothing to do w/ 6’ spacing. Rather, I don’t even want my kids that close to me, LOL.

So after I got my dose of the sunset, I hit WM (the only place still open), and loaded another $200. So for today I did $400 total. I have $1600 to still get rid of before I head home. I’m debating if I want to buy $1k more before I go. The Serve max for a month is $5k, right?

we are stranded in Orlando until Friday, we were supposed to be on a flight home right now, but due to SW technical issues the next flight available isn’t until Friday. Which means we are here for 2 additional nights. We used DH’s SW priority to pay for his flight and I used my Amex Plat to pay for my companion flight, but then when I changed our flights I canceled my companion flight and used travel credit. Now I don’t think any of our cards will cover travel delay. I just want to cry.

I feel this! I booked my AA ticket and I was too lazy to grab my CSR for the $11 fee, so I just used my AA card which was on file. Though from what I read, I don’t think Chase would have paid to put me on a different flight Monday. I’m sorry you are stuck.

Our first trip in a year in a half is a bust. My sister was going to watch our dog for two days while we are camping. She has been around the dog a few times and stopped over the last few days to make sure he was ok with her.
When she arrived at our house last night the dog was very aggressive and she felt too scared to even open the door.
Thankfully, we are only about 85 minutes away but still. DH went home, spent the night and is coming back up today. We will probably spend the day swimming and leave early this evening instead of tomorrow.
I told DH he needs to board the dog from now on and get him more socialized. I’m not going to cancel traveling bc he bought a dog that thinks he is a guard dog.

So interesting. My 2 daughters are workaholics....well let's say they work hard.

My son works and for the first time in 'ever', he's feeling the pressure to work harder. He just got himself an evening job doing computer work at home - from my daughter. He's getting married in September and they want to buy a house soon - in the next 2 years.

I gave before so it could be worn. My gift (years ago) was a necklace also, but with a cross with a sapphire in the center. I loved the cross but didn't like the chain so I also bought a separate chain to hang it on.

Oh, wow! So sorry! Do you have any dog parks near you or friends that you could have doggie play dates? Luckily, Puggles is way too friendly and needs to say hi to everyone. He’ll go up to my neighbor’s front door looking for her 2 Yorkies to come out and play just like a little kid.

My neighbor watches my dog when we are both gone. I've had to rig a setup where she can let him in and out without contact. I have a small enclosure that he has to stay inside of like a 8 by 8 playpen. She can open the door and pull it over and release the playpen door, allowing him in and out. Meanwhile placing his food and water inside. She goes by 3-4 times a day as he's old now and needs a trip outside more often.

Now, the breed - Yorkie. He's just nuts and I have to give him a prescription to get him to the vet. He doesn't scare my family because we just ignore him and he stops his little act. But my neighbor is very wary of him. Still, other than leaving him with my vet, he's best of off at home.

I know this little playpen wouldn't work for a bigger dog.
