My $750 bonus just showed up as a 'promo statement credit' before the closing date. (I made a small charge on the first statement, then one very big charge over $5000 early in the 2nd statement cycle.) I hit MSR April 7 and my credit showed up April 20. I redeemed the $51 rewards also on that statement. I only spent a little less than $5200 total.

I was hoping they would just add the points so I could get a check and put it in my Disney account. I supposed I could get $750 in Disney gift cards or something.

Please don’t tell the Australians. They already can’t accept the fact that Americans wear the Ugg boots out of the house. Don’t even try to wear them into the Qantas lounge. I can’t imagine what they would say about these :rotfl: I will say they look very comfortable, if they’re your style!
This is going to sound funny but I never had any and I live in a very cold are in Northern NY. Then on a trip to Disney I was shopping in Disney springs and saw the Ugg store and they were having a big sale. I bought a really cute pair that had Pom poms on them and love them. I get compliments on them and they don’t even really look like Ugg’s. Who buys their first pair in Florida? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

DS did a trip with them 3 years ago. We paid the initial deposit on debit card, and then had to agree to a payment plan from our bank account - but once the account was set up - there was an option to make early payments and they accepted credit cards - so we paid off the entire balance early to meet MSR on a new card. So whilst I can't confirm that VGC/MCGC would work for that purpose - it might be a possibility.

BTW, they went to Ecuador/Galapagos Islands and he absolutely loved it.

DD was in Ecuador a couple of weeks ago. I asked for an Alpaca blanket or throw.

I received a wool blanket - very nice! And an Alpaca xmas ornament. I asked for that also.

I resisted Uggs as long as I possible could but once I bought a pair I didn't want to wear anything else six months a year. They are like a weighted blanket for my feet (and I have terrible circulation so having warm feet is a big deal to me).

Now the slides are silly but I still want them:) But I promise not to leave the house in them.

I liked Uggs also and wore them at work in winter to keep my feet warm. I have a half dozen pair that are barely broke in as they weren't really worn outside, just at my desk. Goodwill will probably get them sooner or later.

Looking at the website to see what all the fuzz was I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of wearing something so ridiculous (to me) looking. But it's not likely I'll spend my money.

I especially noticed the sandal with the furry insert that was $375.

He has some leftover RR pts on his RR account that I was trying to figure out a way to use up but since he is not an AU on my CSP nor does he have his own chase card that can transfer URs to SW, I just ended up booking his flight on my points. I think I am going to have to wait until he takes the plunge and becomes my P2. I do not want to pay a fee just to transfer his RR points to my account through SW. Thanks for the help anyways!

I was able to top off by buying a few points. Overall this saved me cash on a flight. But now I've still got a couple of thousand orphaned SW points. They are not going anywhere and I will eventually get another card and use them for family flights.

So I am finally selling my engagement ring. This is 11 years in the making! Decided to use worthy so my auction is live. Should clear enough to pay for the diamond studs I bought myself from James Allen last week.

I was looking for something else and ended up surveying my old rings and other simple jewelry that I never wear.

My engagement ring back in 1977 was a sapphire with diamonds (before Diana and needless to say but nowhere near as grand, lol). So it can be worn as just a ring by anyone. My fingers were much smaller back then - a size 6. I think I would need at least a 7 and a half now. I also have my mothers ring set. I used to wear her band, but not the diamond. I liked the band as it was etched 18 ct and very pretty. Sadly it also no longer fits, as my fingers are quite arthritic. The only ring I consistently wear is a diamond anniversary band.

Both daughters are larger sizes. So I'm not sure what will become of my 'little' treasures. I'm not about to sell my memories, even the wedding bands.

Price Chopper has 5x on gift cards beginning on Sunday. I want to buy some DGCs and use my CSP PYB but I seem to remember reading it might not be a good idea to do so near the end of April because of the promotion changing. Any opinions on that? Better to wait until the next time they have them on sale in May?

SW change window open. I could change 6/13 and 6/19.

Thank you for posting! I've been waiting on 6/13 to open up for our return flight from Orlando. Saved almost 11k points using this! When I had booked our flights originally I wasn't sure if we wanted to come back on Sat or Sun, and Sat was cheaper so I had both booked. We decided on Sun, but I had left Sat booked in case the fee change window opened, which ended up working out because when I checked this morning all of the flights were more. I was able to change to Sun, cancel the original Sun flight, add my DD as my CP, and add EBCI for all of us (had been holding off on that knowing this might happen). The EBCI should finish up my DH's Aspire airline credit, and now everything should be set!

I was curious to see how much we saved total roundtrip - 39k RR for 3 of us plus one CP! Also, I priced out the same flights if I booked today - they would have been about 100k more! Shows it definitely pays to book early and keep checking for lower priced flights and the change window!

I had messaged Chase to close DH’s SW Plus card since there was really no use for it. Chase called about the closure and ended up with a $70 credit that covered the fee! I am supposed to be up next for CP but I am hoping to get DH enough points to maintain it another year.

This is so funny and reminds me of when DD found a really good deal on some sweaters she loved at an outlet mail just south of Miami. Glad to know we aren’t the only northerners flying south and buying cold weather clothing items. :rotfl2:

Got a question for folks that keep up with the banking/Schwab Amex plat cash out news. My plan is to possibly apply for the Schwab card next fall/early winter so I’ve started thinking about getting a Schwab account set up, but just found out they bought (or merged with? I don’t know know the vocabulary for this) TD Ameritrade and we do have an account with them. Do you think that will work for getting the plat or do we need a separate new account with Schwab still?

I agree totally 🤩

Me! The Floridian 😂 To be fair I don’t wear my Uggs here. I take them on trips where there is real cold to deal with. They are super comfy and keep your feet warm!

We are using a FN cert this weekend at the Hyatt Grand Cypress near WDW. It’s our first time staying at this property. I think it’s an awesome FN cert redemption. As Globalist we don’t have to pay for parking which is great. There seems to be lots of things to do at the resort here which is quite lovely. It makes the Hyatt Place where I did the 30 night mattress run look like a dump in comparison. Happy to cross off a third Hyatt brand as we work our way to another FN cert.
