Now the slides are silly but I still want them:) But I promise not to leave the house in them.

I’ve worn Uggs to work twice:rotfl:

First time I had stitches on top of my foot, and Monday morning realized I could not put my foot into any closed toe shoe. I ended up wearing my blue fuzzy Ugg slippers all week 😂 my female boss raised an eyebrow, but she wanted me at work. And hey, isn’t your hygienist more approachable and human in blue fuzzy slippers? 😂

2nd time I had major “new mom brain”, and after dropping my infant son at the sitter’s house realized I had my Ugg boots on 🤦🏼‍♀️ I drove to work hoping nobody would notice my Uggs and scrubs. No such luck. Comments ALL DAY, asking if I was cozy 😂 Again my amazing boss just rolled her eyes

I resisted Uggs as long as I possible could but once I bought a pair I didn't want to wear anything else six months a year. They are like a weighted blanket for my feet (and I have terrible circulation so having warm feet is a big deal to me).
This was absolutely me. I also resisted, didn’t want to become “one of those girls”. Well I can just say, when I got married and moved to New York City, and had to wait outside for the trains/busses in the freezing cold every day for my work commute, I caved and it was the best decision ever! I lived in Ugg’s from December through February, lol. They keep your feet the warmest. Not to mention, for me it felt like walking on a cloud, haha. Now I live in South Carolina and it hardly ever gets cold enough to justify wearing my Ugg’s 😢 although I don’t miss the cold, I miss wearing them lol.

So I have y’all to thank for the ad showing up in my instagram feed 😂😂
(For the record, these aren’t my style, but Ugh slippers are THE BEST and worth every penny!)

Awesome! I guess putting $95 on a debit card isn't the end of the world, but happy to hear that we can use credit cards for the balance.

Oh my gosh, it is my dream to go to the Galapagos. How awesome.

Oh wow, an entire month! Amazing, DD is going for 10 days. We'll find out Monday where they are going.
What a fantastic opportunity for a school trip, that takes field trips to a new level! DD did one in middle school (initiated by a parent conversation with school admin, and it counted as an elective class since a teacher was willing to teach topics relating to it and then the students had to do presentations after the trip) out to Catalina Island and went kayaking, snorkeling, camping, and did some biology fieldwork labs while there as part of a previously established school program on Catalina. I'm all for life experience trips like that!

You can probably put the deposit on a prepaid vgc/mcgc as long as you've registered it online. Might as well get something for the $95! lol

P.S. I hope there's some kind of insurance you can buy given that things are still very much in flux with travel.

This is something very similar - it is an elective for next school year, Science & Agriculture class. She had to apply, interview and have teacher recommendations (it's a competitive program). They don't reveal the country until after the students accept their spot, we find out Monday.

This year's class is supposed to go to Japan, of course they are now hoping they can go summer 2022.

Also, this will be her second trip out of the country without family. She was in Spain for 8 weeks when she was in 5th grade, she'll be an 8th grader on her second trip.

I'm going to give it a try, might as well since Staples has no fee GC starting Sunday.

I'm not sure who I'm more annoyed at, PNC or USPS. Waiting on my escrow refund, it was on informed delivery yesterday but wasn't delivered and wasn't there today. Got the mail right after it was delivered both times since we know the check should be there.

So I call PNC. First lady, yeah we can cancel it and issue a new one. Then oh I need to get you over to a specialist or whatever she called it. 2nd lady, we can't cancel it for 30 days. So I ask what if someone else deposits it, they can't do that if they don't have the same name. Umm what? Since when cause people mobile deposit and all kinds of things and could just sign my name to the back. So I say that I don't believe that but let's just say hypothetically what if someone else deposits it, then what I'm just out the money. She says yes. So that's awesome as it's almost $500 and I'd like my money. I've never been happy with PNC with this mortgage and this puts them above Bofa as the worst in my book. I won't ever do business with them again, it's too much trouble and annoyance.

On top of this, USPS was stupid and sent the Disney masks I ordered from a former cm that lives in montreal back saying there was no such number and that the address wasn't sufficient. When not only had the package shown up in my informed delivery but they have the ability to look up the tracking. Plus the address was totally correct when she sent me a pic.

I know a lot of you have and had issues but we've never had issues like this but the past month has had delayed packages, weekly ads on Fri instead of Mon and way late in the day deliveries a few days. Magazines have always been late but are getting later. And I get it to an extent but you don't mess with my money. Fingers crossed it shows up tomorrow.

I feel your frustration. I got a letter last week, dated Jan 20th ... It was Amex telling me to be on the lookout for my new card (and I think that was a replacement card for one that never arrived).

I think Informed Delivery has a button to click that says something like Never Arrived? You might try that also.

It does but I doubt it does anything. I submitted about my package as I watched it bounce around seattle and my city before finally departing from seattle and never updating again. Week and a half later she got it this past Monday and resent it and I should get it next week. But all they responded with was solved! It's being sent back which isn't at all helpful and it bounced around a bit after that too.

But I will click that if I don't get it by Monday. There's no tracking so I don't know what it'd do. Hopefully the check for my homeowners refund actually gets here since it's over 350.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sooo relieved to hear from someone that has been on one of the tours. Where did you go?
Both my DDs went to France on EF tours. The French teacher had worked with them for many years and was able to request his preferred tour guides. I went along on the last one and boy was it jam packed. Started in Paris, took the train south to see the Pont du Gard, Nimes, Avignon, Nice, Boat trip in Cassis to see the Calanques (I loved Cassis), few hours in Monte Carlo. Well organized.

and y’all can keep your Ugg slippers, I am a lifelong fan of Haflinger boiled wool!

I had to Google Haflinger - now I want a pair. Need to save up some pennies.

@IFlossU, You’re a dental hygienist! It’s all clicking!! 😀

Just finished booking our Airbnbs and VRBOs for Iceland this summer. Met my CSP MSR. We are staying mostly along the Southern coast and the Golden Circle. If anyone has any MUST DOS, SEES or EATS, I’d love to hear about them.

Also, Iceland Air has good deals right now. Iceland is open to vaccinated Americans without quarantine. Children test upon arrival but then follow the quarantine requirements of the parent (no quarantine if test negative and parents are vaxxed).

I can't remember how we funded it but DD went to Italy/Greece in 2017 and loved it. My BFF's DD went to Peru with them in 2019 and same experience.

We loved Iceland! One of my favorite trips ever.

Most memorable for me would be Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Icelandic Lava Show (they create lava!) and the Katla ice cave tour (booked with UR). Also enjoyed walking behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall and the power of Skógafoss is so impressive, get wet just standing somewhat nearby. We did the Lava Tunnel, which was pretty cool. And of course the famous Blue Lagoon. We had lunch there, which was pricey, but I felt worth it since food was good and the view was lovely. Also loved seeing puffins at Dyrhólaey.

If you do the Icelandic Lava Show, it's in the same building as The Soup Company, which has good food. It's also the meeting place of the Katla cave tour if you go with Troll Expeditions. They were late due to car trouble, but the guide was great. DD (then age 7) had trouble in some sections and he carried her.

Must eats, I guess Icelandic hot dogs lol.

My oldest DD is going to Iceland in June with one of her friends she met when she studied abroad. Sounds like a great place to visit!
