Has anyone set up a separate email account used solely for credit card/bank account purposes? I'm thinking it would be handy to consolidate all similar activity in one place.
You really need to do what's best for you. If separating it out would make it easier for you to watch/monitor your cc/banks then do it. A new email address takes like 60 seconds to set up so nbd to try it!

I'm on about day 10 waiting for my 100,000 MRs to post for my Amex Business Platinum. Anyone have a sense how fast these are posting after meeting MSR these days?
I would double check you hit the MSR just to be safe. Keep an eye out that you don't count annual fees or refunds.

Can you transfer MRs between spouses like URs?
Trying to earn as many as I can to pay for flight through Hawaiian airlines next year and think I can convince Dh to get one AMEX hopefully.
No, but as long as you have an MR earning business card you can add each other as authorized users and transfer MRs to one Hawaii airlines account.

I double checked via chat and they confirmed but gave me the standard disclaimer (doesn't include gift cards blah blah blah). I'm continuing to spend just in case. Still have 25 days left.

And no AF on this card. This was the Biz Platinum with no annual fee in year 1:)

Thanks for the Input! We are all booked on points, just on separate accounts as neither of us had enough to book all 4 tickets at the time. I'll keep an eye out for any openings, but I'm totally not going to stress about it and I'm ok with using the points if I can't make it work.
Oh if you're all on points then you can switch from Points to CP pretty easily by calling in I believe.

No, but you and P2 should each sign up for a HawaiianMiles account. You’ll need to anyway, in order to transfer Amex MR to HawaiianMiles.

You can transfer MR from your Amex account to your HawaiianMiles account. P2 can transfer MR from his Amex account to his HawaiianMiles account.

Keep in mind that Amex typically charges an excise fee of 0.06 cpp (capped at $99 per transfer) to transfer MR to a domestic airline partner like Hawaiian. Amex waived this fee due to covid through the end of 2020, and I haven’t seen whether they’ve extended the waiver.

Also note that MR transfers to HawaiianMiles 1:1 normally, but in past years Amex has run 25% transfer bonuses to HawaiianMiles once a year making the conversion 1:1.25. I don’t think Amex offered a transfer bonus to Hawaiian in 2020. Previously,
  • In 2019, it ran from about 9/23 - 10/7
  • In 2018, from about 6/12 - 6/26
  • In 2017, from about 6/7 - 6/21
  • In 2016, from about 6/6 - 6/21
  • In 2015, from about 12/8 - 12/21
Hawaiian has a dynamic chart for award seats based on inventory and demand. Check the award chart to get an idea of the range of points you’ll need: https://hawaiianair.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2218/~/hawaiianmiles-award-chart#awards.

If one of you (likely, you) gets a Barclays HawaiianMiles credit card (there are personal and business versions, but Barclays biz approvals are very ymmv), the cardholder can receive HawaiianMiles from anyone without fees, which makes it easy to pool points from P2 for free. As a HawaiianMiles cardholder, you’ll also have access to Discounted Award fares you see on the award chart. There's also your first bag free if you pay for your flight or taxes on the card, and a companion fare discount for roundtrip cash fares.

You’ll also net another SUB from opening the HawaiianMiles card. I believe the current high offer on the personal card is 60k HawaiianMiles. In the past, if I remember correctly, the SUB for the personal and biz ranged from 35k-70k, with varying levels of spend and waived or not waived first year AF. The standard baseline offer seems to be 50k these days.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone else gotten this offer before and done it with Bank of America? Dh and I both got the offer and are thinking about doing it since ccs haven’t been going well for us

:wave2: Great to hear from you

I finally cancelled our London, Maldives, Singapore, Dubai trip booked for May / June on Sunday.

I have decided that the third time must be the charm and decided that I am going to try to book for the end of April, 2022. Since we won't have as long, plan is London (4 or 5 nights), Maldives (7 nights) and Singapore (4 nights), then home. I am pretty sure that booking the WA Maldives will be a challenge, so I have decided that I will book at the St. Regis Maldives and I am very happy with this decision. I am short approx. 95,000 points, but I can easily offset this with the Cdn biz Bonvoy card and may buy some points to get us to 500,000 Bonvoy points. I will be securing the nights as soon as they become available. If the trip doesn't go in 2022 I will be moving on from trying to get to the Maldives.

I haven't used Chase's PYB (I have the CSP) yet. I want to start collecting Disney GCs for an upcoming trip. If I buy them at a grocery story and use my CSP, I can use PYB to essentially pay for them with points, correct?

This question sounds simple, but want to make sure before I do it.
